0:49 *Fun Facts* I live near Camden, NJ. In 2005, the building was converted into luxury apartments called The Victor. The trademark stained glass of His Master's Voice with Nipper, Jack Russell terrier, is still on top of the building. The renovation of the old Victor-Victrola, The Nipper Building, kicked off the whole transformation of the Camden Waterfront District. The SS New Jersey is stationed there and you can tour it. They have the Aquarium, outdoor concert area and the 76ers practice stadium. Personal fun fact, I am a Massage Therapist and I worked with the 76ers at the practice stadium. It's pretty cool in there. BTW, if you're still reading this, on the Victrola, the horn part is built into the base. You have to release the brake and swing the needle arm over the disc part to see if it actually works. That's an amazing find.
Hi Mike the dog with the big horn stands for HIS MASTERS VOICE, and if you lift the needle arm towards the middle of the player it should start to spin round, good luck
The tone arm is a Reproducter, the term "Stick a Sock in It" came from how loud those kind of record players got, and to help reduce the volume, the listener would stick a sock in the horn! Nice find Mike! Think that one is a portable one.
On the Victrola --- easy fix. The crank connects to a gear that connects to another set of gears. There's a shear pin between the gears that shears easily. Remove and replace with a finishing nail.
Mike. I am a new sub. Once I started I watched episode after episode and was hypnotized. You are hilarious. The best so far is when you ate a freaking biscuit from a dumpster!!! You are sick bro. I've done my share of scavenging. You make me want to get back to it. Love the follow ups. You are fast with the scavenging and fast with the videos. Very entertaining for sure. God bless man. FYI never eat from dumpster, wear a mask, and don't step in juicy juice! Peace out.😅
I remember seeing that episode where he ate it and that was funny. But the ones that cracked me up the most were one where he found a bucket that had some "bodily excretions" in it and started gagging and another where he found a butt plug lmao!😂
Record players almost always seize up a bit after they sit. It is dust on the gear grease. You need to run it around with your hand at the right speed for a bunch of times until it starts sounding right. It may take a side or two of a record playing before you see the best results.
You forgot to say if the kiddos had fun with the Pogo sticks!! It’s so cool how all those tiny pieces add up to a nice payout for you! Thanks for the follow up! They are always appreciated.
The dog goes with RCA Victor's slogan -" Listening to the sound of his master's voice " implying the recording was indistinguishable from live sound ....
FYI MIKE; Those security TORX screws can be dealt with by hammering a small sharp punch into them. That breaks the pin so you can use your standard TORX bits.
The ultrasonic horns for the welder!!!! Now you need an arbour press. The horn comes down on the two pieces and ZAP there welded. The sound is intense and rubs the two pieces making very brief heat.
Like those skates and you look like you are going to fall,Poops!!!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤Be careful you ain't as young as you used to be Love 💕💕 your videos 📷📸📷❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!!!!! Mike for being the a true ambassador of the lifestyle, it's in our DNA, some have it some don't but "the real recognize the real" MTS status... GOD
Mike. The Victrola may work/Spin if You release the Brass patter brake that levers against the palatter and located on the left center area as Your looking down at the machine from the top/ The Horn You said was NOT with the macine is correct. The hollow area behine/at the back of the platter is actuallt the speaker reverbrator.
On the phonograph, they usually have a lever to control speed, it could be in the of position. It should get a good cleaning and lubrication inside, then try again.
Awesome, as always, Mike! I'm always waiting for your videos.. I told my wife I wanted to try what you do, but she reminded me that in our town in Michigan, it's against the law.. so there goes my dream of becoming a millionaire, finding that one shoebox full of money..😂 I'm glad you and the family had a great holiday.. Christmas next then off to the New Year celebrating with what you have for us next.. God bless you and yours Mike! Peace!
Take a flat head screwdriver and wedge it in those security screws and twist and usually that nipple will snap right off letting you use a torque bit or allen
1:20 Hey Mike, I'm the one who let you know you had a phonograph. Just wanted to let you know that the speed and brake leaver sticks out under the side of the spinning plate and must be released to allow the plate to spin, also most likely on this model the horn is built into the base, older wooden models had volume doors that could be opened to different positions to control the volume.
What you are trying to call "Safety Bits" are in fact called "Tamper Proof Torx Bits" So take your behind over to Harbor freight and get yourself a set of sockets for the fasteners and you will be all set . But Ifi were you i would "NOT" buy the bits and get the sockets cause the bits will just shatter on you if the fasteners are super tight . Just a lil FYI
You know to make things easier on you, you could use a long strap and hook it on the back of your truck to pull those heavy objects out of the dumpster
mike.. if you need to get something out.. tie a rope to the thing. run rope to your truck hitch. tie rope to truck, gently drive forward pulling the item out.., its best to get the thing up as high as you can otherwise you might drag the bin
Mike, the cast aluminum pieces are a part of a reed valves that go into a natural gas compressor. I have changed several thousand of them. Good find.
Mike your on Netflix, that documentary about how we buy more and waste more, you made the big time
What is the name of the documentary ?
I hope he remembers us!🥺💜😂
I just found it, it's called Buy now, a shopping conspiracy. It's a clip maybe 40+ minutes in

Record player could still sell for $130 up. Love the follow up vids. Your rollerblading reminded me of when you skateboarded to dumpsters.
Good stuff, Maynard! Keep saving the world, one dumpster at a time!😊

1:05 That is a Columbia Grafonola (circa 1927). Worth A LOT of money to a collector.
Nice haul of all the cast aluminum pieces! It all adds up.
On the Victrola --- easy fix. The crank connects to a gear that connects to another set of gears. There's a shear pin between the gears that shears easily. Remove and replace with a finishing nail.

Love the followup. You scored!
the phono graph probably works. it has a brake for when winding. The brass lever on the right will take the brake off if you move it.
All right, all right, all right Mr. Mike.
Yes, agree....we need a scrap run....Let's Go!!😀
Amazing follow up Mike. So good to see you getting all the good scrap out of the landfills and to the places to recycle!!
Nice haul on the cast and secondary aluminum! Well worth the effort.

Mike you are so goofy but not afraid to be. That’s what I like about you. 😎
Thank you mike for sharing this update with us six stars brother
Some left hand drill bits are great for taking out screws that you don't have a bit for...
FYI MIKE; Those security TORX screws can be dealt with by hammering a small sharp punch into them. That breaks the pin so you can use your standard TORX bits.

Mike on the Victrola the lever on the left side of the turn table has to be moved to release the brake on the turn table. Then it can spin.
Awesome video mike thanks for the follow up
Nice cast aluminum haul.

If you do it right you can brack the little post in the center of those screws out or you can drill the post out if you want
You are one smart cookie!!!
Wow that was an awesome update, those boxes of aluminium were weirdly satisfying just to look at 😂
On the phonograph, they usually have a lever to control speed, it could be in the of position. It should get a good cleaning and lubrication inside, then try again.
Mike, Harbor Freight sell a small kit with all the different types of security bits. Not too expensive.😃
Thanks Mikey!!!!!!❤
thanks mike ,always a good time watching you doing your doing your tour about things lol thanks
🤣😂😇😍
Roller Skating Mike - were are the Knee Pads - ah ! Good Money on all those Alu Wedges - wow ! Fantastic Follow-Up and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
The record player doesn’t work unless u move the player arm over the disc 😅😅😅
They also have a brake. I believe the lever on the left side of the turntable is the release.
Kids these days! 😃
@ that is what I’m saying. Just having some dyslexia and im Norwegian and suck in English
Need to look up that record player, somebody would like it. Maybe New York.
Thank you for the video 😊
Nice Mike! Much love.
Love the follow ups!! Congrats! 150lbs whimp. I lifted boxed lockers 197 lbs
There's a brake lever on the left of the platter. The speaker is where the needle goes. My dad had a similar player
on the victrola the lever on the left side might be the brake
Thanks for the update. Made a few bucks there.😋 congrats!
Love a good follow-up, thanks Mike!
Love your. Energy. !!!!!❤😊
Thanks mike

Take a flat head screwdriver and wedge it in those security screws and twist and usually that nipple will snap right off letting you use a torque bit or allen
You have to move the arm of the record player onto the record for it to work.
Congrats on those great finds.
Move the square lever on the left. It will turn if the mainspring is not broken by turning handle to much.
Slide one of those levers under the turntable to the left or right, that might make it turn. That’s how our version works anyway
Nice haul, Mike!!!
Can we get more scrapyard trips?
I like them too.
Love watching your videos Mike! You're my favorite blogger! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day! Peace out my friend!
Great follow up video thanks for sharing Mike

Pretty nice haul MIKE!!!!! great video man 👍
Record player shooting games when you lift the handle and move it across to where the record is on it
Auto zone will lend a tool with a deposit torex bit set.
Boy oh boy, I could use those aluminum pieces for crafts of all kinds. LOL
What would you do with that? That sounds like hoarder speak.
@@Manhandle730 thanks for your input. 🤓
what good are those gloves? they protect nothing!
Once you wind it up, you place the record down on the turntable then you lift the arm onto the record it starts to spin
You know to make things easier on you, you could use a long strap and hook it on the back of your truck to pull those heavy objects out of the dumpster
Great follow-up. Nice heavy metal.
Happy Thanksgiving Mike
Good score
A little something, something 😎👍
cut cut🤣
Good Job
Good Video 😊
Welding plastic is really fusing, taking discrete pieces to construct continuous ones.
