It kinda hurt my heart a little when it was obvious Rhett kinda felt bad/was caught off-guard by his son quoting the "must make you a moron." Rhett has probably never really thought twice about it. In an innocent way. Makes me wonder what my students hear most from me.
I’m the same with my students,,, I’m so stressed out now if they’ve taken my off handed comments to heart, may have to talk to them about that on Monday 🥺
Those off-handed comments can really make an impact. My dad is a great and wonderful father, but I will always remember that one time, years ago, he called me stupid in an off-handed way during a family game night. I know he didn't mean it, but his opinion means so much to me, there have been times where I will doubt my intelligence and think of that moment.
It's interesting. My father was just like this. Always more a friend and we still take small jabs at each other now. Anyone on the outside looking in would think he was mean to us. My sister's definitely have a different view of how he was when we were kids but I'll always appreciate how he tried to open up in the only way he knew how- mean jokes.
I love my dad more than anything in this world. But he has hurt my heart so much with what he has said to me in moments of anger and I don't think he realizes just how much his words effect me. Like I care SO MUCH about what he thinks of me. Even though he has told me he's so proud of me, I cannot help but remember all the times when he was really upset and dissapointed with me. I don't think parents realize how much everything they say influences their children whether they mean what they say or not.
Link is very very very lovable.. he would make an excellent husband an excellent father an excellent son an excellent son-in-law an excellent brother an excellent friend damn link is absolutely fabulous!!!
Rhett feels so off. I feel bad for him. So sweet of him to open up about the struggles, because a lot of us are dealing with our teens during this time and it’s hard on them and us.
Rewatching this made me realize how link and rhett has different ways of parenting because their home life was different going up... Link having been raised by his mom making him a more hands-on parent more nurturing I guess. Rhett was raised his dad at home making him more traditional dominant dad if that makes sense.
I feel like rhetts gonna be the kind of grandpa who has a soft spot for his grandchildren and will spoil them. Like all his kids will be mad that he was stricter on them 😂
Whole point of being a grandparent is to spoil and be soft on grandkids. At that point you’re done parenting. That’s your child’s job at that point and all you have to do is be fun. 😂
It was hilarious when they were talking about how Rhett's kids think of him as working hard for his job and worrying about all the work he has during his free time and Link's kids think of him as sleeping and relaxing during his free time.
Good to know that Link, a former engineer, has an "inability to comprehend numbers" so strong that Rhett would consider it notorious enough for his son to inherit lol

This episode was really sweet. I'm not lucky enough to have children and I'm just about mid thirties, but I love the idea of this feedback and seeing yourself through their eyes. It's obvious there's alot of love there. PS - I was trying to think of my favourite memory with my dad and what came to mind for some reason is driving him to the city the year before last to Christmas shop for my mother (as we do every year) and we were talking about the weather. This made him start singing the song "Get the Urge for Going" which I had never heard before. Loved it. I always love those yearly trips. I remember another time where he was trying to explain how he wasn't raised to express love or give hugs in his family and that he has a hard time doing so. Telling a family friend that "his girls" (my mom and I) were the best thing he'd every done/had/created in his life.
I would love to see a video where Rhett and Link get proper wigs and prosthetics to look as much like each other as possible, as if they were playing each other in a movie.
Haha. Link's "get with the program" reminds me of every time my dad said "Stand by..." when he wanted us to be quiet or hold still. Yaaaay media families.
Been looking forward to this after listening to podcast; the guys' expressions are everything. Only worry, falling asleep. Covid days and Covid nights are confused. Haha. Be well and keep safe everyone.
Seeing Rhett with a very plain apartment-esque background (standard gold door knobs, standard flat/plain door framing, etc.) felt very relatable. Probably because that's pretty close to my current background at home right now haha.
I'm really glad they let Rhett film ear biscuits in prison.

good on rhett for opening up about his parenting, it can be hard talking about things we aren’t proud of. i hope ur able to work things out man it’ll be good for everyone
Rhett looks so jealous after link reads the 10/10 💞💞💞💞
47:55 not just yours, Link! I think I speak for pretty much everyone when I say he melts all of our hearts 😭🥰 he's so incredibly adorable!!
cool how link's captions are photocopied snippets of the actual, survey, paper document.
This was a really positive and sweet post. Thank you for sharing. Your dad sounds like a good man. 🙏♥️
@@Couldnteventhink Thank you. He is. :)
29:41 - So cool to hear Rhett and Link talk about drones, the Mavic Mini is my jam!
Vlog idea: your wives interior-design a room of the creative house each? (Only if they want to!)
Great idea. I totally dig their aesthetics
jessie is an interior designer!
I love Lilly's sense of humour shown in this
I would love to see a video where Rhett and Link get proper wigs and prosthetics to look as much like each other as possible, as if they were playing each other in a movie.
"The idea is that we're trying get them to understand it's their crap." Rhett when you nail down how to do that PLEASE let us know.
Dang, Link's getting a STRONG gray strip off the right side of his hair! The guy's are getting distinguished!
That's been there quite awhile.
Btw, guys doesn't require an apostrophe unless you're talking about something they own.
He’s so handsome
@@bcaye Thank you, mom.
@@the_minimalistic_adventure, no problem. You certainly didn't get your basic English knowledge from MY side of the fam!
@@bcaye thank you for that, seriously.
Haha. Link's "get with the program" reminds me of every time my dad said "Stand by..." when he wanted us to be quiet or hold still.
Yaaaay media families.
“Threw me in the river”..............that explains a lot!
I loved this and would love to see more from their kids the family dynamic is just hilarious
Been looking forward to this after listening to podcast; the guys' expressions are everything. Only worry, falling asleep. Covid days and Covid nights are confused. Haha. Be well and keep safe everyone.
I listen to this episode to fall asleep to every night and have wanted to watch for their expressions so I feel you! Wish me luck
Love that Link is morphing into a old/new hair hybrid 😂
I grew up with “get with the program” usually when I didn’t know what the family was doing after apparently I had been told.
Can we get Buddy System season 3, set in an alternate universe where rhett is link and link is rhett ?
I would freakin love that, I’m in need of new Rhett and link songs
24:56 "jk! Unless..." totally skipped over the best part lmao
Lol at Rhett (to link): “Did he inherit your inability to perceive numbers?” 😂
"Approximately 266 jars of peanut butter"
**murica 100**
Seeing Rhett with a very plain apartment-esque background (standard gold door knobs, standard flat/plain door framing, etc.) felt very relatable. Probably because that's pretty close to my current background at home right now haha.
paige_n a gold door knobs ain’t standard silver or wood is gold is Fancy dude XD
@@joeheart5808 those are cheap apartment gold painted door knobs lol they arent like fancy gold knobs
Rhetts story about his dad throwing him the river explains a lot...
The long hair on Link is looking good. All of us have new lockdown hairstyles.
