Camping at Dolly Copp Campground in NH

- Dolly Copp Campground was a nice place to be on this June evening. First I rode my bike around the trails at Great Glen Outdoor Center, which is right down the road from the campground. Then I pitched my tent and enjoyed the outdoor life.
Campground footage begins at 2:15 in this video. Dolly Copp was under construction during this time so no reservations were being accepted; however many sites were available the day I visited. A friendly campground manager was patrolling the grounds and sold me a bundle of firewood. Restrooms were new and clean. Other campers were spaced far apart and respectful of quiet hours.

Ahh this hit the spot. I was (sorry for the overshare) literally conceived at dolly copp Memorial Day weekend 1987 haha. Went on my first camping trip there at only 4 months old. I’ve been camping there my entire life but we haven’t been during their refurbishing.
Wow, that is neat. You have a unique connection to the place. I haven't been there since the remodel either but I heard they have 50 sites open (first come first serve). So it's on my list - perhaps for Fall.
I love this “overshare”! My parents met as young teenagers in the late 60’s/early 70’at Dolly Copp.

The bike trails are just down the road to the South at Great Glen Trails. That is a paid trail system used for skiing in winter and biking in summer. Also a nice facility there. Sorry that wasn't more clear in the description.

REI DRT 2.1. Got it on sale. Not the top bike in the world but it's more than I can ever really handle so for me it's luxury. A mountain trail cruiser with 2.8 inch tires.
