I'm looking forward to this series quite a bit. You've chosen some very nice mods to inhabit the farm. I hope that at some point in the series you purchase field 43. lol Anyway, the farm is off to a great start. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to where this series leads.
Hope you had a great christmas! Thanks! Edit: Oh, and btw, i personally don't care about 'unrealistic' events in 'realistic'-series gaming. I for one *do* understand it's still a game. ;) I can see you're doing your best. And i'm grateful for that. Keep rocking.
I'd say this series is already a success as you've bought the Claas. I regularly pass an Arion 630 on my daily commute and I think they're really nice looking tractors. I've been hoping you'd get one for a while. I also see New Holland, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, even a Case QuadTrac at one point. Those things are flipping huge. Anyway, can't wait to get my hands on this map myself, and looking forward to see what you do with it. Cheers!
Daggerwin, I usually don't comment on your videos, particularly because I don't usually like them too much. It is not my place to criticise you or anybody so I won't be telling what I don't like, it just my opinion and feeling. But these days, with your ETS2 videos and with this really great first episode of the Oakfield Farm, I'm starting to enjoy them a lot, again. Especially in this first episode, you played realistically without being annoying (like pushing the gates to open), you went for really good mods instead of the in game machinery but most of all you didn't rush anything, you just took your time and did everything in a relaxed way. Thus, instead of trying to follow your movements I was able to enjoy the game play itself. I hope you would have the time to read my comment and continue like this all the way to the end of this series. Thank you very much for your time and effort on this beautiful episode. Have a great new year :-)
looking forward to this series as we have had a MF7499, MF 6490, CLAAS arion 620 and the JDs younger brothers (6150, 6155, 6230 and a few other smallies though our farm over the last few years. should be good to see how they are in the game =)
Are you going to use manual attach on this series? Also are you going to limit yourself to 2 workers? I was just wondering your videos will be great either way.
Hi dagger that was a very good, realistic start to the series, but I hope you don't mind if I give you some helpful advice on being even more realistic. 1) I love your choice of machinery but please when you get more make sure it is realistic for this map and country. 2) get more livestock so it is worthwhile and realistic. 3) Install manual attach. 4) Use more realistic mod. I hope you realise that I am helping and definitely not criticising.😁
franks model farms The mr -mod would be good yes but as he's using mostly mods it might be hard to find an mr file for every one of them. I have that problem at least :/
It's so hard to get used to a new map again. I get so into the map your working on and then it's time to move on. Love watching the videos. You do such a great job. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Off to a nice start. Would have liked to see more age difference between the tractors, but that is just me loving the sound of the Ford TW35 and similar aged tractors. Hope to see some pigs as well.
In Victoria, Australia you can tow any agricultural equipment with a primary producer (farmer) rego (which you can get with utes tractors and trucks). The down size is you can’t go over 100km from the farms edge.
Hey Daggerwin. This map looks awesome and the series is most likely going to be great. What I wanted to know is if you have ever used or considered using Deutz tractors? The 7 and 9 series for example are on par with respectively the Fendt 700 and 900. The difference being that both of the Deutz tractors can do around 39mph. Makes them very useful for carting if the pressure is on. However you won't do these kind of speeds with a tractor on the realistic series ;) Keep up the good work!
For the monitors in the John deere, select the ones that match with your machines and keep them in there, as irl you wouldn't remove them every time (that is how we do it at work, and it makes sense to me)
Around Shropshire and in the midlands , john Deere combines are the most popular and just had a brand new one myself this season , and also john Deere tractor are very popular over any other tractors aswell
This looks like a very easy start. I'm all for realism in a game, but how realistic is it really to get 4 brand new tractors right away? And not only tractors, but the ones you like to get, in the configuration you want? Along with a choice of equipment. I fail to see the struggle you need to do as a farmer to get anywhere. You even purchase a loads of fields, without actually having to work towards making the money in the first place. Curious to see how you will make this series challenging and interesting to watch. To me the challenge is to be able to afford to upgrade one tractor or get a bigger piece of equipment with the cash I manage to get from farm work. I think maybe have 1 or 2 low end tractors to be the workhorses with multiple roles is a more realistic start and way to go about it. Maybe even lease equipment before you can afford it. Good luck with the series. Curious to see where you take it.
Daggerwin, you should... try the ccm mod if you do pigs, do more platinum edition (and farming simulator in general), start a schedule again, CONTINUE YOUR UPTON SERIES!!!!!!, and use more deutz tractors. The only thing that I don't like about this series is that you have 2 john deere tractors. Thats a minor problem, thanks for the video!
The JD 8 series are 13 tons+ (unbalasted) i think you should get the widest tyres you can to reduce your ground pressure. or drop down a few frame sizes to reduce compaction
In the mixing wagon (Standed Bale I think are 400L) 1silage Bale, 2 hay Bales, 1straw Bale Or 2silage bales, 1hay Bale, 1straw bale The Bale mod is good you can change the volume of the Bale so instead of poting 2 bales which = 800L you can mack a Bale which is 800L so it will be 1 silage Bale(400L), 1hay bale(800L), 1straw bale (400L) Or 1 silage Bale (800L), 1straw bale(400L), 1hay bale (400L), but the Heston are bigger than 400L and will muck the mixing wagon up
Hey dagger you should probably put the haverster in the shed at the bottom of the bank next to the construction field as it's got a bit more room to manuvor
Loving the videos as normal I would say that the small jd would look better with the weight block and u should have at least 100 cows so it's worth doing and the longer video is defo better
Very nice episode. Can't wait for the map. However, if there's anything to complain about, it would be the low price of the combine. I feel it was way too cheap.
Since you are playing with seasons, would it be a good idea to buy an extra field and plant poplars in the spring? Even tough woodchips are not worth much you can fill an episode in the wintertime harvesting the poplars and use a sugarcane trailer from the platinum edition since they also support woodchips.
You naled it with the tractors keep both John deers please they look great and keep doing your best with being realistic I can see that u are trying your best on it and I think your doing great on it
I think that some things will just have to be a bit unrealistic, I mean it is a game and some things just wont be able to be done realistic. You do very well at keeping these close to realistic for me and I work in the farming world :D
It's so nice to have a nice long episode ! This map looks like it's really going to suit your play style ! Hope you had a nice Christmas.
Omg just realised I drive this road in real life nearly every day. Even down to the seven springs pub. Brilliant map.
Offenham/Evesham lad and I drive it quite a bit as well!
Can't say how much I miss this series, it's the one which really got me interested in your videos.
I'm looking forward to this series quite a bit. You've chosen some very nice mods to inhabit the farm. I hope that at some point in the series you purchase field 43. lol Anyway, the farm is off to a great start. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to where this series leads.
You are awesome I love the game I also farm sim22 and21 and20
Hope you had a great christmas! Thanks!
Edit: Oh, and btw, i personally don't care about 'unrealistic' events in 'realistic'-series gaming. I for one *do* understand it's still a game. ;)
I can see you're doing your best. And i'm grateful for that. Keep rocking.
devttyUSB0 a person after my own heart

Thank you so much for the Claas DW!

Put wide tires on the claas until you need to do spraying and put wheels on combine instead of tracks
Field 50 might be a good place to keep your harvester... along with placeable feed mixers
At 27:13 , all the machines that are parked are green!
Claas Mad ha ha so funny
looking forward to this series as we have had a MF7499, MF 6490, CLAAS arion 620 and the JDs younger brothers (6150, 6155, 6230 and a few other smallies though our farm over the last few years. should be good to see how they are in the game =)
oh. and a merlo but they arent great compared to the new JCBs (not enough power but good vis)
Great vid and would love to see loads of episodes I like all the British roads and signs
Are you going to use manual attach on this series? Also are you going to limit yourself to 2 workers? I was just wondering your videos will be great either way.
Looks like a great map, can't wait for it to release.
Hope you have fun, and look forward to seeing more...

3 - 5 = NEGATIVE 2. Bam constructive negativity. Great video. I really love the look of this map.
I am loving this farm you did everything right in my books keep up the great work
Daggerwin your choices in tractors are great.Good job with the map OxygenDavid.
Been looking forward to this so much. Hope you had a good Christmas Daggerwin. All the best for the new year!
and you
The Claas actually looks good with narrow types. JD combines are common enough in Ireland but Claas are still the most popular
Can u get more cows this time cause we never get to see u putting out slurry or anything
yeah that would be better
Because of that theres so much equipment he never uses
Great idea !

Excellent choice of machines dagger, especially the claas combine and tractor
I would say that the air horns give the John Deere an American look
Farming Boi the John Deere is a mess broken front axle and 3 point

Nice to see you use claas combine and tractor👍
Oxygen David should put all his maps together to make one map
Dakota Gardner0921 that would be class
Carolan brother what do you mean by class
Dakota Gardner0921 he means asome
Class is an informal adjective meaning showing stylish excellence
Nice mix of machinery there. Merlo will be perfect for livestock work.
thank u for entertaining us
Oh my is my favourite my map Do you at least 50 episodes on it
50 or more!, Long series
Emma Jones if not 60 episodes
Emma Jones or keep going for ever!
Yeah I agree because just playing for one year in game is just pointless
Around Shropshire and in the midlands , john Deere combines are the most popular and just had a brand new one myself this season , and also john Deere tractor are very popular over any other tractors aswell
LOVE your videos shows how much you appreciate the game and mods
In the uk, beacons are required on tractors
I live in deepest darkest Shropshire, in the middle of the farming heartland. It looks eerily similar to this! Haha
Very good!!
I absolutly love the JD tractor
I really good that you continue doing videos for as much time as you can 😀
I have a very strong urge to watch this all back again
Love the tractors and combine you chose, but you only need one type of baler. Keep the Krone cause you haven't used it in a let's play.
Francois Malan I think that is a good idea
Another great vid daggerwin, looking forward to playing this map, looks good!
The choice of equipment was perfect in my opinion
This looks like a very easy start. I'm all for realism in a game, but how realistic is it really to get 4 brand new tractors right away? Next time you get a new tractor on this map can you get the Ford that you have on your mod list please. That's my favourite looking tractor!
Tyrell Shaver saw that aswell
Tyrell Shaver Yes a Ford or Fiat
ya definitely
English power 🔧👍
Did you forget about the platinum edition map? I miss that one!
westonbroussard i know
westonbroussard there was one yesterday I think
The mini map view is from satelite? It looks awesome
Robert Mihai yes
Yes its from Google maps
Smart
16:30, BANG!!!!!!!!!!
The 7610 Luke’s like A 7710 I thick and I hope you had a nice Christmas 😀😀😀😎😎😎✌️🚜
Hey dagger great video as always
Nice map. When I play seasons I use the single fence post to track my years on the farm
Wow can’t wait to play this map it looks so realistic 👍
Who’s asking if people are still watching this in 2024
Hi
Hi this is so interesting
I rewatch most of dags Fs 17 stuff and I remember when this came out
Me😂
Me😅
Great Video From What I watched so far !
Daggerwin - 27:15 I'm not obsessed with beacons. Quite a few people think I am.
Fans in 2022 - Sure. We believe you. That statement aged really well.
I think oak field farm will be the best farming simulator 17 map ever Daggerwin!!!
I love the tractors in this let's play excellent choice
As already mentioned a time or 2 below, you need a tipper, but I hope you'll get 2. A large one for field work and a medium or small for animal work.
i like the amount of smoke coming out of the john deere 7310 when its driving
For your mower, there's a very nice JD mower set available.
FYI Oakfield Farm is developed by BulletBill and Oxygen David. Very nice selection of tractors and harvester. Can't wait for this map to be released.
This map is based where I live and it’s nice to see how accurate this is.
If you want this map in fs17 or 19 you can find it in the modhub
Dagger you could the best change the John Deere 7610 in to a 7710 the 7610 is never sold in Europe or UK!! And it’s a greet vid
Wilco Miedema or a 7810......what a beast.
Looks good so far daggerwin keep up the good work
Use the gearbox mod with your logitech please!
Claas Mad yes it will be more realistic
Claas Mad for me the gearbox mod freezes the game when using the pickup
Claas Mad yes
Claas Mad no no
Czech Republick place is very good, I live in it !
The 10 series is one of the best tractors for john Deere
There's also a pig food silo dagger, doesn't require anything except a decent bank balance. very good mod and have used it myself
Omg, absolutely love the tractors, great choice 👍
I'm watching this on the 21st of January 2023, and we really NEED that old intro back. If you see this in the future, let's try and make it happen.
the beacons on the John Deere make it look European, because in the us most tractors don't have beacons
p.s. there are some JD front loaders to download
This is a UK map and from what in the UK we do have that spec of John Deere
change the pickup to like a unimog or like Mercedes truck/flatbed
logan del211 i like your idie
The American version would most likely have the rc set up with rc tires and duals.
Nice job, Dag! I really liked Ep. !.
If you buy the small cattle trailer, please use the pickup to tow it.
The JD 8 series are 13 tons+ (unbalasted) i think you should get the widest tyres you can to reduce your ground pressure. or drop down a few frame sizes to reduce compaction
the best map yet ..thanks
In the mixing wagon
(Standed Bale I think are 400L)
1silage Bale, 2 hay Bales, 1straw Bale
Or
2silage bales, 1hay Bale, 1straw bale
The Bale mod is good you can change the volume of the Bale so instead of poting 2 bales which = 800L you can mack a Bale which is 800L so it will be
1 silage Bale(400L), 1hay bale(800L), 1straw bale (400L)
Or
1 silage Bale (800L), 1straw bale(400L), 1hay bale (400L), but the Heston are bigger than 400L and will muck the mixing wagon up
Sort out with your seeder fert spreader and sprayer to equal out in tramlines. Use proseed
JD 8020 series was available in the UK
the map looks cool, great video Daggerwin
Hey dagger you should probably put the haverster in the shed at the bottom of the bank next to the construction field as it's got a bit more room to manuvor
Get the lizard single cab dually truck for your farm or the squads duramax
Dually trucks or more for the USA in the uk wee have smaller trucks like a ford reneger
Love the JD 7010
I Get happy by only watching your YT logo
Like your pick of tractors
Since you are playing with seasons, would it be a good idea to buy an extra field and plant poplars in the spring? Even tough woodchips are not worth much you can fill an episode in the wintertime harvesting the poplars and use a sugarcane trailer from the platinum edition since they also support woodchips.
Yes, Czech Republic number plate ♥
Im sure that u missed a problem with the big john deere, check the front suspension while driving, and you'll see a shaft spinning wrongly
Great tractor choice. Maybe a small ford or NH yard tractor
16:23 - I’ve never seen a reel that high up. What would you harvest with it that high?
OSR
If you buy the fendt, you schoud get the 615. It is an really goodlooking and decent tractor
Please use the Broughan 28ft animal trailer by CDModelz
Love the tractors and combine you picked but please take off the tire inflation system off the big John Deere, it looks hideous, lol
Yes , mostly MODS.
