That was the begining of the end of howie as the main voice in the group. They realized that bsb were looking too similar to New kids on the block and then decided change the voices from there place. So then they made a straight shot with Bryan as the main singer. In the next year (1995) they recorded the first album with those changes and with new sounds just for the second half of the 90's And the sucess came as rain.
Usually, the lead vocals were tossed up between Brian and Nick, and at times, A.J. The main four rotated (Howie, Nick, Brian, A.J.) on their most notable hit "All I Have to Give."
Jason Nadle the core harmonies during their peak centered around Brian and AJ. Nick provided some upper harmony, Howie handled falsetto and supported Nick, while Kevin supported AJ on the bass.
Let's be honest, Howie doesn't have a great voice. The success was achieved, having placed Brian and Nick as lead voices (and as a publicity strategy, especially in the case of Nick who has always been the most popular with girls). AJ as an arranger, Kevin on the bass and Howie as support in the choirs. Things as they are.

None of the songs ever officially made an album. They were sung often while the guys were trying to secure a record deal. Tell Me That I'm Dreaming appeared as a b-side on some versions of the We've Got It Goin' On single and also was on one of the early BSB promo cassette tapes. I'd Do Anything ended up being on Aaron Carter's debut album
Yeah I find it strange that no one ever talks about the fact that these guys competed on star search. Everyone talks about Justin, Britney and Christina being on there but not Backstreet Boys
