The Quran refers to Mary, upon her be peace, as the “sister of Aaron” in reference to her descent from the lineage of the Prophet Aaron, upon him be peace. This type of reference is common in ancient Semitic languages and in the Bible. Allah said: يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste. Surah Maryam 19:28 The Christians at the time of the Prophet objected to this verse on the grounds that it was meant literally, but the Prophet answered their question. Mughira ibn Shu’ba reported: When I came to Najran, the Christian monks asked me, “You recite the verse: O sister of Aaron (19:28), whereas Moses was born long before Jesus by such-and-such years.” When I came back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I asked him about it and he said: إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُمْ Verily, they would name people with the names of prophets and righteous people who had gone before them. Source: Sahih Muslim 2135, Grade: Sahih Ibn Kathir reported: علي بن أبي طلحة والسدي قيل لها يٰأُخْتَ هَـٰرُونَ أي أخي موسى وكانت من نسله Alli ibn Abu Talha and As-Suddi said: It was said to her: O sister of Aaron (19:28), meaning the brother of Moses because she was from among his descendants. Ibn Kathir added: كما يقال للتميمي يا أخا تميم وللمضري يا أخا مضر This is like saying to somebody from the Tamimi tribe: O brother of at-Tamim, or to somebody from the al-Mudari tribe: O brother of Mudar. Source: Tafseer Ibn Kathir, verse 19:28 Muhammad Asad comments on the verse, saying: In ancient Semitic usage, a person’s name was often linked with that of a renowned ancestor or founder of the tribal line. Thus, for instance, a man of the tribe of Banu Tamim was sometimes addressed as “son of Tamim” or “brother of Tamim.” Since Mary belonged to the priestly caste, and hence descended from Aaron, the brother of Moses, she was called a “sister of Aaron,” in the same way as her cousin Elizabeth, the wife of Zachariah, is spoken of in Luke 1:5 as one of “the daughters of Aaron.”

Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said: “By Allah, if the Qur'an was read according to how it was sent down, you would have found our names in it, just as the ones before us were named in it). And he (pbuh) said: (Qur'an was sent down in four quarters, a quarter about us, a quarter about our enemies, a quarter of stories and examples, and a quarter of cases and rulings. And we, Ahlul Bayt, have the excellence of the Qur'an.” And Al-Majlisi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “It is correct that our Imams (pbut) commanded us to read what is between the two covers and not increase or decrease in it, until the Qa'im (pbuh) rises, [then] he shall make the people read the Qur'an, according to how Allah (swt) sent it down and [according to how] the Commander of the Believers (a.s) gathered it.” - Bihar Al-Anwar Volume 89 Page 74.
Imam Ali wa Ala salam When the prophet passed, once he walked into majid of the prophet and he was carrying his personal copy of the Quran becuse imam Ali would write the verses when he would hear them from the prophet (saw). ones he brought forth his book his own copy of the Quran those companions who seized power the opened his book they looked at the Quran they read a few pages they told him tkae it back we dont want this copy of the quran keep this for you we,re not interested in it. Imam Ali Ibn Talib va ala salam, when he would write the verses in Quran he would also write the tafsir of the verses he would put a commentary and footnotes, every verse that was revealed the imam Ali salam would write, why was it revealed whats the meaning of it how did the prophet saw explain it. Well these companions they looked at some of these footnotes it dident suit them well they did not like that tafsir because they had a political agenda and some of the tafsir that imam had in his copy was not compatible with what they were doing with power thats why they rejected it. And Imam Ali complanis from this type of tariffs, he says oh Allah i complained to you from those people who distorted the meaning of your book. This type of taffif until tody it keeps happening.

Hmm this is intresting, but if i am to believe in a god that said he will protect and preserve the Quran no matter what. Then i am currently holding the right one. Even if tomorrow all the qurans are burned and a child reads it from memory then thats the Quran. The Aisha and umar haddits, i believe they lied for thier own benefit. The imam Mahdi one could be given some attention but that would mean all the muslim have been wronged, and we dont have a true source of guidence. Its an intresting topic, but i think there is too much to support that the Quran is at its true form.
It is universally agreed upon by all sects of Islam that Othman burnt the versions he didn’t like. And the Hadith in Shia books say that the true Quran was with imam Ali and it was rejected. The Quran vouching for its own completeness is not a good argument.

But as I said, if I am to believe in a all powerfull God who promises to keep the quran pure, then as of now, with my current knowledge from the allah, I am to believe he has kept the text save. One of them is greater than the other: The book of God (Quran), which is a rope stretched from Heaven to Earth, and [the second one is] my progeny, my Ahl al-Bayt. These two shall not be parted until they return to the pool [of abundance in paradise, kawthar]. "Truly the people of my house (Ahl al-Bayt) in my community is like Noah's ark: Whoever takes refuge therein is saved and whoever opposes it is drowned." The Muslims are fighting and hating on each other for any reason and they all have the Quran between their hands, how can they all be on the right path if they are opposing each other. The Qur'an which is between our hands was gathered during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar. And the proof for this is the narrations of the Sunnis and Shia. Rather, this incident has been frequently narrated in history and there were several Masahif (copies of the Qur'an) which were burned by Uthman and he gathered the people upon one Mushaf (copy of the Qur'an). As for the Qur'an that was gathered by the Prophet (pbuhahf), it is with Ali (pbuh) and he presented it to the people and they did not accept it. And it is with the 12th Imam (pbuh) today. And the evidence for this is many narrations which have been narrated from the Ahlul Bayt (pbut). Salim ibn Abi Salama said: "A man recited [Qur'an] upon Abu Abdullah (a.s) and I was hearing letters from the Qur'an which were different than how the people were reading, so Abu Abdullah (a.s) said: “Stop this recitation, recite like the people recite until the Qa'im rises, for when the Qa'im (a.s) rises, he shall read the Book of Allah alone ([or upon one reading] and he shall bring out the Mushaf (the copy of the Qur'an) which Ali (a.s) wrote”. And he said “Ali (a.s.) brought it out to people when he finished writing it, and he said to them: “This is the Book of Allah as Allah sent it down upon Muhammad, and I have gathered it from the two boards. So they said: We have a Mushaf (a copy of the Qur'an) which has the Qur'an gathered in it, we do not need yours. So he said: By Allah! I myself try to remind myself that all Holy Books from every religion are written by men. We are all fallible and translators wrote what they felt God gave them to write. All have divine inspiration I believe but lost in translation thru out the years I’m sure.

When Hazrat Ali AS got apparent authority as 4th caliph, why didn't He AS bring out his version of Quran? More important question is why didn't he made corrections of the errors at least? I guess that was a very basic duty of an imam or caliph. Plz answer if any one knows

روي عن أبي موسى الأشعري أنّه قال لقرّاء البصرة : ((كنّا نقرأ سورة نشبّهها في الطول والشدّة ببراءة فأنسيتها، غير أنّي حفظت منها : لو كان لابن آدم واديان من مال، لابتغى وادياً ثالثاً، ولا يملأ جوف ابن آدم إلاّ التراب)) (صحيح مسلم 2 : 726 / 1050).

If we put aside our prejudice and want to rationally and logically look at the path through which the book of the Qur'an reached the hands of today's Muslims and follow today's conversation، We will easily find many evidences that we will agree on the fact that the current Quran is distorted and is not the Quran that the Prophet revealed to him from the side of God and communicated it to the people.

The Quran refers to Mary, upon her be peace, as the “sister of Aaron” in reference to her descent from the lineage of the Prophet Aaron, upon him be peace. This type of reference is common in ancient Semitic languages and in the Bible.
Allah said:

The Christians at the time of the Prophet objected to this verse on the grounds that it was meant literally, but the Prophet answered their question.
Mughira ibn Shu’ba reported: When I came to Najran, the Christian monks asked me, “You recite the verse: O sister of Aaron (19:28), whereas Moses was born long before Jesus by such-and-such years.” When I came back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I asked him about it and he said:
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُمْ
Verily, they would name people with the names of prophets and righteous people who had gone before them.

Ibn Kathir reported:
علي بن أبي طلحة والسدي قيل لها يٰأُخْتَ هَـٰرُونَ أي أخي موسى وكانت من نسله
Alli ibn Abu Talha and As-Suddi said: It was said to her: O sister of Aaron (19:28), meaning the brother of Moses because she was from among his descendants.
Ibn Kathir added:
كما يقال للتميمي يا أخا تميم وللمضري يا أخا مضر
This is like saying to somebody from the Tamimi tribe: O brother of at-Tamim, or to somebody from the al-Mudari tribe: O brother of Mudar.

Muhammad Asad comments on the verse, saying:
In ancient Semitic usage, a person’s name was often linked with that of a renowned ancestor or founder of the tribal line. Thus, for instance, a man of the tribe of Banu Tamim was sometimes addressed as “son of Tamim” or “brother of Tamim.” Since Mary belonged to the priestly caste, and hence descended from Aaron, the brother of Moses, she was called a “sister of Aaron,” in the same way as her cousin Elizabeth, the wife of Zachariah, is spoken of in Luke 1:5 as one of “the daughters of Aaron.”

And he (pbuh) said: (Qur'an was sent down in four quarters, a quarter about us, a quarter about our enemies, a quarter of stories and examples, and a quarter of cases and rulings. And we, Ahlul Bayt, have the excellence of the Qur'an.”
And Al-Majlisi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“It is correct that our Imams (pbut) commanded us to read what is between the two covers and not increase or decrease in it, until the Qa'im (pbuh) rises, [then] he shall make the people read the Qur'an, according to how Allah (swt) sent it down and [according to how] the Commander of the Believers (a.s) gathered it.”

Hmm this is intresting, but if i am to believe in a god that said he will protect and preserve the Quran no matter what. Then i am currently holding the right one. Even if tomorrow all the qurans are burned and a child reads it from memory then thats the Quran. The Aisha and umar haddits, i believe they lied for thier own benefit. The imam Mahdi one could be given some attention but that would mean all the muslim have been wronged, and we dont have a true source of guidence. Its an intresting topic, but i think there is too much to support that the Quran is at its true form.
It is universally agreed upon by all sects of Islam that Othman burnt the versions he didn’t like.
And the Hadith in Shia books say that the true Quran was with imam Ali and it was rejected.

The Qur'an which is between our hands was gathered during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar. And the proof for this is the narrations of the Sunnis and Shia. Rather, this incident has been frequently narrated in history and there were several Masahif (copies of the Qur'an) which were burned by Uthman and he gathered the people upon one Mushaf (copy of the Qur'an).
As for the Qur'an that was gathered by the Prophet (pbuhahf), it is with Ali (pbuh) and he presented it to the people and they did not accept it. And it is with the 12th Imam (pbuh) today. And the evidence for this is many narrations which have been narrated from the Ahlul Bayt (pbut).
Salim ibn Abi Salama said:
"A man recited [Qur'an] upon Abu Abdullah (a.s) and I was hearing letters from the Qur'an which were different than how the people were reading, so Abu Abdullah (a.s) said:
“Stop this recitation, recite like the people recite until the Qa'im rises, for when the Qa'im (a.s) rises, he shall read the Book of Allah alone ([or upon one reading] and he shall bring out the Mushaf (the copy of the Qur'an) which Ali (a.s) wrote”. And he said “Ali (a.s.) brought it out to people when he finished writing it, and he said to them: “This is the Book of Allah as Allah sent it down upon Muhammad, and I have gathered it from the two boards. So they said: We have a Mushaf (a copy of the Qur'an) which has the Qur'an gathered in it, we do not need yours. So he said: By Allah! You shall not ever see it after this days of yours, I just had to inform you when I gathered it in order that you may read it.” *

When Hazrat Ali AS got apparent authority as 4th caliph, why didn't He AS bring out his version of Quran? More important question is why didn't he made corrections of the errors at least? I guess that was a very basic duty of an imam or caliph. Plz answer if any one knows

You are correct the mahdi has the original quran. And will reveal it in his own time. Also he will bring new islam to his ummah.
