I bought this over the Nitro Deck and boy is it great. It' s making play the switch fun again. I've put my ROG Ally down for a few days because this feels so good in the hands.
Niiice!! 😎… funny how you mentioned the ROG Ally, I’m having a bit of an internal struggle on picking one up or the steamdeck oled 🧐… any recommendations 🤓???
It’s all preferential, if you want to have a more mobile experience with your steam library because most of your games are there, the steam is a perfectly viable choice. If you want to play Cyberpunk on High 60 fps, you get the Ally with the z1 extreme. Battery life sucks on the Ally but the capabilities of it are far above the steam deck imo. Full windows is sweet if you grab a dock. Full fledge mobile PC
Seems like a pain unplug and plug the cords back in everytime tho lol
@@wowVJif you really want to have fun with great performance, then go for Ally. If you don't wanna have options to set up and you want less emulation optins to play with lower performance, then go for steam deck.
I really love my Ally and this is like playing Xbox in my hands!
Got on Lies of P solid 90 fps with grafics on middle. Amazingly!
I should've got this instead of the nitro deck 🤦🏻 . The problem of nitro deck is the right thumb stick it's right in the middle they should places the right thumb stick abit up to the left abit. It's a good deck if your not playing games that use the right thumb stick.
Do you find the placement of the thumbstick to be comfortable? I bought the Nitro Deck and I can't use it, it's very uncomfortable.
I have a Nitro Deck and so far I have mixed feelings on it. And truth be told I kinda have buyer's remorse. When I found out about the Nexigo Gripcon. 😅
My gripcon can’t connect to my switch pressing A even tho I turned on wired communication.
Like i said on stream, this is an AMAZING and a must buy accessory! I can finally use my console in handheld again after months of not being able to due to faulty joycons! Its also reallt nice that i no longer have to pack my Dock with me when going to hotels! Only issues i have are that the buttons are a little too loud for me personally and its gonna be a bit tricky to find a travel case for it but overall a 9.5/10 joycon alternative!
There are any case that fits this ?

Yup! It works the same way the Switch Dock does 🙂
I have something similar to this controller. A JC200 Full Size Switch Controller. (or Gammeefy) controller have about 4 game cards. It doesn't have a HDMI port for dock mode like yours does, but I don't mind. I'll use the official dock if I want to play on TV mode.
Is there a case that fits this thing? I love it.

Received mine today. Excited. Then, I played Borderlands for about 15 minutes and....... My ZL button is stuck.
Amazon is sending a replacement. I'm hoping I just got a did and such. It seemed to work ok. The USB on the top is nice.
This controller lasted a month and already has stick drift, even though it's advertised as hall effect.
Awesome looking grip, only negative I can see is that the power supply port is facing upwards rather than downwards, so it's going to be visible when playing in handheld.
I wish this was NFC capable. I have several Amiibos.
That would have made this item pretty close to perfect if it had NFC... At least you can still use joy cons while you have this docked in the gripcon, so that might help solve that problem.
Really love this only thing I hate anything usbc have there been any reports of bricking with this one
How do these feel compared to split pad pro? Is the grip con thicker in the hands vs hori?
How do I take it out of the nexigo grip?
I just got this today and was really excited about it. But I gotta be honest. The face buttons are pretty stiff and no one talks about this.
Any update on this? I checked Amazon & some comments mentioned that the face buttons misread or didn't read inputs, as well as buttons sticking.
@feraldrgn I can't really say or recall having that issue. But the buttons are definitely sticky and the fact that it draws power from a switch. Mind being the areaoriginal switch model. I can only use the thing for like maybe an hour or two so there's that

Not that I’ve noticed 🙂… the Hall Effect analog sticks are pretty legit on the gripcon🙂
Is it only 720p for the hdmi output?
It's 1080p as advertised. You could get 1440p if you have the mClassic tho.

@@BaldGamerPH did you make sure in your display settings outputs to 1080p? For me I have to set it to 720p to get 1440p with my mClassic tho. I don't see why it wouldn't be 1080p as it should be the same as the official dock.
I just ordered mine and will be coming in 2 more days. I will do some testing and will let you know.

I like the grips for the most part. I'm surprised by the added weight tho. The D-pad works but it's ideal for me. Looking at this now I wished it was just the grips as I could do without the dock as I already have a portable docking solution. I know they make a version like this without the dock but I believe it doesn't have hall effects tho.
