With form like what is demonstrated in this video, 25lbs would be more than plenty. That guy's form and control of the eccentric/concentric is pretty much perfect.
When i haven't done these for a while, especially with higher reps and pauses, i definitely get sore. Targets the glutes like no other for me.

The problem with these is that they are really unstable therefore you can't load that much
