Hey guys: If I could make a suggestion for a reaction video, you should watch Inside Man from 2006. It's a Spike Lee film about a New York City bank robbery staring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, Christopher Plummer, Willem Dafoe, & Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Please no more of this false dichotomy "only one can be king" idea. There was enough of that when these movies came out in 1994 (along with Pulp Fiction).
#1 film on my personal list. The best film ever made, imo. Just....the best. The "redemption" in the title does not refer to Andy. He actually didn't commit a crime (though he admits to pushing his wife away) and needed no redemption. The story is actually about Red's redemption having actually committed a crime. He's resigned to the life of being a convict and had no hope of getting out, that he could, in effect, be redeemed and get out. Hopelessness and despair took hold of him. The path Brooks had taken is to show what could happen to Red if he had stayed in the prison. Through Andy Red begins to realize that hope is real and he deserves redemption. He said it best in his last parole hearing. He knows he made a stupid mistake, and he would tell his younger self the reality of his choices. Something only someone who's had time to digest their consequences, have the gift of hindsight, and the wisdom of a life living with those ramifications. Just pure masterpiece.
I sort of disagree about it not referring to Andy. This could very well be called _The Shawshank Redemptions._ Andy was innocent of the murders, but still needed to be redeemed from feeling guilty about his wife. Red was redeemed by his rediscovery of hope. The inmates who Andy helped educate were given a better chance at redemption, which also goes for those who the improved library would continue to help. The prison itself was redeemed from the corruption under the warden and Hadley. I get what you mean, but there’s plenty of redemption to go around in this story, and it’s beautiful.
I think the redemption is of shawshank prison itself. The warden is corrupt, which made the prison a hello hole. At the end, the news and police found out everything Andy had uncovered.
@@0okamino - It wasn't Andy's story, it was Red's story all along. He was the narrator. We see it all through his memories, and hear it in his words. This is why we had no idea Andy was digging his tunnel until Red found out he'd escaped. Without Andy by his side, Red would have lost all hope. He would have ended up like Brooks. Andy didn't need to be redeemed or find hope... it turns out he had hope all along. He started planning his escape almost from the moment he arrived,. Even though it took him 19 years, he never gave up that hope. He not only masterminded his escape, he set up a life on the outside, complete with a new identity and enough funds to retire in comfort.
@@Mr.Ekshin I know it's Red's story of redemption through rediscovering hope. It still seems apparent to me that Andy did feel a need for his own redemption as well. He didn't lose hope or determination, but he did express his feelings of guilt about the behavior he had contributed to his marriage failing, leading to the circumstances of his wife's murder. He needed the redemption of being able to at least forgive himself. Even if Red's redemption is the most important to story (which I agree it is), I just don't think it has to be seen as the only one, and certainly not to the exclusion of Andy's.

The Shawshank Redemption is one of those films that's too hard to put into words how perfect it, too hard to explain to others why its the best, and is a timeless masterpiece that I've watched every year since I was old enough to watch it. It's still my favourite movie of all time
And it's so hard to believe that it basically tanked in the theaters. It's when it hit Blockbusters and the likes that people started renting it on Friday nights that people fell in love with it

My favorite very small detail that often gets overlooked is when Warden Norton opens the bible Andy left inside his safe. When Norton pulls the bookmark to reveal the rock hammer's hiding spot, you see the first page of the Book of Exodus, which is the story of the Israelites leaving the slavery of Egypt.
The saddest moment for me was when Brooks Hatlen was released after so many years and was lost in a changed world and committed suicide. I cry every time. The most rewarding scene was the warden getting framed by Andy and getting caught and the reunion with Andy and Red in the end!
@@artvandelay3840 probably something referenced in the novel it’s based on I’m guessing.. regardless anyone who both a) doesn’t believe in rehabilitation and b) doesn’t get emotional at brooks death is probably a worse person than the imaginary character they’re mad at
I love the little detail when Red walks up to the wall and the tree and the harmonica plays on the soundtrack - the first time in the whole movie. This is where freedom and a life of hope finally begins for Red.
Great film...fun fact. The sewer scene...the "sewage" was actually chocolate sauce. Also, the movie originally ended with Red on the bus, but test audiences wanted to know what happened. So they added the beach scene.
Do you understand now why we were all "I can't believe you haven't seen Shawshank yet????" lol. Such a great movie. So many emotions. It really takes you into the story. Perfect cast. Perfect pacing. Amazing re-watchability. A piece of art. Glad you finally saw it. Great reaction.
I'll be honest. I constantly look for videos like this because I want to relive that moment of watching the movie again for the first time. I love the movie. The movie is my number one favorite of all time. But I wish I could see it again for the very first time. So quoting leonthesleepy, let me just say, "Oh man I ENVY you Greg!" Fun little bit of trivia is that the section of the Bible the hammer was hidden in was Exodus, and Exodus deals with the great escape from Egypt. Also, the movie was originally suppose to end on an ambiguous note. Whether Red made it to Mexico was going to be left up to our imagination; much like it was in the novel, but the studio vetoed that and said - no, you're going to have those two meet up with each other again.
This is one of the last great films with perfect movie pacing. This came out in 1994, before Michael Bay made it so that even dramas go at breakneck pace now. The camera isn’t constantly moving and even when it is, it enhances the storytelling rather than distracts from it.
Greg's reaction to the whole ending is just perfect. It's exactly how I feel every time I watch this film. Just pure joy and happiness and catharsis for how Andy is finally getting what he deserves
@@TheOneWithUA-cam The Godfather is also a book adaptation, so kind of renders your point moot! Plus I'd happily argue that The Godfather Part II is better than Part I!
James Whitmore was brilliant in his betrayal of Brooks, that whole movie within a movie could have won an award for best short story in my opinion or short film.
What a gift to be able to watch this for the first time. I am convinced this is the greatest film ever made. I adore it and enjoy it more with each viewing.
This is considered a perfect movie for so many reasons and all of them correct. Morgan Freeman is amazing of course but for me Tim Robbins really is a standout. Andy is so reserved and Robbins played him so in a way that made his high emotional moments all the more heartbreaking and impactful. It’s like you could see him cracking and holding on over time. And Brooks! Omg. His story is so heartbreaking because they really make a point to point out several times before his release just how long he’d been there and why it would be just impossible for him. He was imprison in 1905! Think of everything that changed in the world from 1905 to 1955.
The second poster was of Marilyn Monroe and the third poster was Raquel Welch. (Ms Fuzzy Britches) This is my second all time fav movie right behind Boogie Nights. Always make;s me well up, not so much because of any particular scene, but watching the reactions from this movie which make's me have hope in mankind that people still care about other people. Great reaction.
I can't believe it I CANT BELIEVE IT. Awesome movie, I definitely put this as my number 1 fav movie of all time. Fun Fact: the mug shot you see of Young Red, is actually Morgan Freemans son Alfonso Freeman.
Such a brilliant movie in all fronts, and all based on a lovely Stephen King short story. One of the best movie of all time, thanks for watching and reacting!
I know you reacted to this a year ago, but I've started binge watching your channel. So thank you for filling my days with joy & laughter. Fun fact : the prison location is no longer open, but it is the Ohio State Reformitory in Mansfield, Ohio. They do movie & prison tours now. It's an amazing place to visit. It's also a hot spot for the paranormal. ❤
A man I met who does paranormal exploration as a hobby went on one of the ghost hunting evenings when you pay to be able to wander inside. They saw a girl's ponytail get pulled straight into the air, and something was messing with the other women. It is definitely spookily active.
This movie is a masterpiece, one of the best movies ever made (and my personal favourite). Read the book after it and thanks to this movie and that book, now I'm a constant reader of Stephen King, and also my favourite genre is emotional drama in movies and books. Amazing story that touches a person. Also it would be funny if Greg never saw Pulp Fiction and would react to it, then there would be a "Trinity of Classic movies from 1994 that Greg would watch for the first time nowadays"
James Whitmore, who played Brooks Hadlen, was a leading man back in the day. This was the last thing he did before he died, and he was one of the most notable parts of the movie.
As someone who has done some time, there is no "goodbye to your friends". The fact that you are getting out is something you keep as quiet as possible. There are people who will fuck with you just to get you another charge and more time. There are people who will demand your stuff, because "you won't need it anymore". Even telling a close friend, it's like winning the lotto. They might react in a "glad for you" way, or a "now's my chance" way - you never know.
After this you should definitely review "The Green Mile", by the same director and also an adaptation of a Stephen King story. In fact it's possibly the best adaptation of a book into a movie I have ever seen. Fantastic movie with an equally excellent cast. The late Michael Clark Duncan does an amazing job as John Coffey, and everyone else is at the top of their careers too IMHO.
I love this film. My favourite other than the LOTR ones and it moves me every single time. The storytelling, the score, the acting, the emotions, the way it’s about friendship and hope and never giving up. It’s such a special film.
I am both EXCITED and HORRIFIED to know this is your first time seeing this movie…… Immediately watching this reaction now, buckle-up buttercup!!! 😱😅👍🏻
I'm so happy you got to watch this and share the experience. My brother told me to watch this. I was the movie kid in my family and my older brother was cool. When he told me in his serious, "I will definitely ignore you around my friends, but I know you like movies so stay in a watch this on TBS tonight" voice, I felt cool. I was 13 and a nerd. When my older brother got home he asked me about it. He asked me about why he liked it so much and I explained story structure and repeating shots and I felt like my cool older brother respected me. Whenever I watch this perfect film. I think about how my older brother took care of me in his own way. Also, one time I worked at a video store and my colleague explained to someone that had never seen this as "Beaches" for men. Best description ever. Thanks for sharing this. 👍
A friend of mine wrote a book about 80's movie villains and interiviewed loads of them, including Clancy Brown. He told me that, pretty much without exception, every single one of them were amazingly lovely human beings. I have met the odd classic movie villain myself and can say the same thing. I guess they get all the nasty out their system on camera!
@@kp361 She (Courtney Stodden) was 16, he (Doug Hutchinson) was 51, and she contacted him first and attended an acting class he was teaching. That's how they met. Also her mother spoke out in support of Mr Hutchinson about how kind he was to her daughter. The doctor who counseled them on the reality TV show Couples Therapy spoke in favor of Mr Hutchinson. She later spoke about how Courtney was the one with the power in their relationship, not Doug. And that was after the doctor spoke to producers about not wanting to be around them because she thought he was a pedophile and a predator. But after meeting them in person, and talking with him, that's not how he was at all. I never heard about this until you it was brought up here and did some reading on it. So don't get me wrong here, it was still wrong he married her when she was so young. He crossed a line there, BIG TIME. . . . BUT, (and this is going off of stuff I've read on wikipedia in the last 20 minutes) he might not be the creep many people have taken him to be since doing that. That's all I'm saying, backed up with facts.
Red kept giving the same speech every time he was up for parole. Until the last time, after Andy had escaped. Andy knew Red had no hope and might end up like Brooks. So he made him promise him and sent him on that little scavenger hunt. Andy always had his friends back. Yes, this is the best bro-mance movie. 🤗
@@shellyzadorozny6962 No. It was Red’s sincerity. He kept saying the same thing each time and it sounded scripted and insincere. The last time he was brutally honest and spoke from the heart. That’s when he was finally approved.
Greg, you're going to run out of tears if you have all these amazing classic cinema cultural touchstones that you haven't watched yet and are lining up to do so.
I love reaction videos like like. Shawshank is one of my favorite movies. I loved seeing your emotions change over the course of the movie. People go from "ok, let's watch this prison movie" to absolutely loving, pulling for and hoping for the characters. Loved watching your emotions evolve.
Wishing you both a speedy recovery. COVID is no fun. I had it twice. I still deal with long term side effects. Definitely push the fluids. Great time to catch up on older classics. This is one of my favorite movies of all time.
90's kid here too. Fist time seeing this film on VHS, watching along with my older relatives. Not really understanding everything, but I thought it was a good film. As an adult, I watched it from time to time, really appreciated it especially through an adult's perspective. Truly a classic.
1: Welcome to a Post-Shawshank World! I hope you enjoy it. I hope it inspires you to live a full life. I hope… 2: it’s an excellent adaptation so I also recommend the novella from the collection Different Seasons.
I appreciate your thoughtful post-film commentary that is nearly as long as the reaction itself. Hearing your breakdown of certain scenes and your interpretation and their effect on you was most enjoyable. More please....
i also watched it for the first time about 2 hours ago. it’s a phenomenal movie, no idea why i never checked it out. glad to see ur reacting to it as well🤞🏾.
The short story Stephen King wrote, "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" , and "The Green Mile" were the result of Stephen King's very vocal non support of the death penalty. I read both stories long before they became movies, being King fan since I was 14 (that's 48 yrs ago). With "Shawshank", King, who always has some battle between good and evil in most every story, showed us in this, that we don't always know, and can't trust, who's supposed to be the good people in the world, and who's supposed to be the evil. My #1 movie of all time. I'm so glad you finally watched this movie perfection. What a great reaction, as always....
This is such a beautiful film. Thank you so much, sharing with us the joy you found in watching it for the first time. I'm old, and I watched this so many times, but I still cry each time.
Great reaction! Yes, you can visit this location anytime as well as the other filming locations in this movie. It was filmed where I’m from; Mansfield, Ohio and I was one of the extras in the prison yard 😀
Love Morgan Freeman. Ever since Driving Miss Daisy. The fact that this movie flopped on it's release amazes me. Maybe because Pulp Fiction, Forest Gump and Jurassic Park were released at the same time. Only thing I can think of. Great reaction as ever. On a side note, hope was a major thing in the Novella the film is based on (Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption from Different Seasons) its subtitle is Hope Springs Eternal.
This movie took us on a very satisfying journey....and then took us a little further to a place a movie very rarely gets to.......what a fantastic movie.
'They send you here for life....that's exactly what they take...part that counts anyway' My God how had I forgotten this gem of a line? Especially with Freeman's God tier delivery!
Haven’t seen this movie 50 times yet, not even close. But I know for a fact that I will sob like a baby even on the 50th viewing. No good thing ever dies.
This Movie is the perfect example that when you watch it for the first time, you get so eager to see how the story is gonna play out from the beginning until the end. Masterpiece Movie! I still haven't decided if it on my list as number 1 Film of all of time! Thank You Greg for letting us to see your reaction for this beautiful piece of art! I wish you boys a good recovery from Covid! Hope you Ready for next week Comic Con...
Wow Greg,I watched it for the first time, over 10 years ago, I had thesame em9tion you had and still do tillthisday, whenever I watch it. It is a timeless movie.
I can’t believe my favourite UA-camr who’s opinion I hold highest over all others when concerning movies hadn’t seen the best movie of all time. But what a joy to see you react to it. Love you all
It's nice watching someone else experience something for the first time; especially since it's not possible. Glad you got to finally see this gem. I break every time I see this. Morgan Freeman's narration. The musical score. We see friendships with women. I love when this kind of bond is shown with men. Men have feelings too. Such a gorgeous movie. Stephen King is never given the credit he deserves for the emotional way he writes. He can just hit a moment and it just crushes you.
The Rita Hayworth movie they were watching is an iconic film noir from 1946 called Gilda, where she plays the title character, a femme fatale. She was married 5 times, including to Orson Welles during the time she made Gilda, none of the marriages lasting more than 4-5 years. She became so inextricably associated with the role, she later said, "Every man I ever knew went to bed with Gilda... and woke up with me.."
One of the classics that I would put on a must see before you die list. Glad you finally got to see it and take us on a journey that I can never go again in the same way.
There are far too many beautiful moments & quotes in this movie for it to be appreciated in just one watch. I remember my dad showing me this movie as a kid and growing up constantly watching it over and over and over again.
It was so fun to watch you watch this for the first time! 💜 I love this film so it had me smiling at how you reacted, and crying - no matter how many times I’ve watched it I cry every time.
This is one of those films I can never see too many times. Ever. My gfather worked at Brushy Mtn prison in TN his entire work-life, 18-63 years old. The prison was shut down in 2009 (far overdue!) and today it is open to the public w tours, a museum, a distillery, & even a restaurant. I personally have struggled w what has felt a bit like creating a caricature, but I also know the area desperately needs the jobs & revenue it creates. But the building & even my gfather’s uniform scared the bejeezuz out of me as a child😱😂 The building is menacing! Once again- beautiful, & thoughtful reaction. Thank You!! Stay safe & love much💖
Wow Forest Gump.. and now Shawshank? How’ve you not seen Shawshank bruh? It’s easily one of the best movies ever made. I makes me cry every time I see it. I envy you getting to see it for the first time.
There’s a reason this movie is often #1 on the list of top movies ever. It was just so well done: the acting, script, cinematography, editing, direction, everything was perfect.
One of my favourite aspects of this film is questioning who the main character is. It is Andy or Red? At the moment Andy doesn't come out of his cell, he could have committed suicide and the film still work. Cause Red has the biggest arc throughout the story. It was only on this watch I noticed the similarities between the shot inside the warden's safe, looking out, and when they discover Andy's hole in his cell. I also love how Andy was so in control the whole time, he knew he could play the music and still keep his plan. Just superb. Easily in my top 3 films of all time, along with Interstellar and Die Hard With a Vengeance. All of them perfect IMO. GG.
Just as with Forrest Gump, thank you once again for sharing this experience with us. One of my all time favorite movies. It makes me happy knowing you have watched it now.
Love your reaction. One of the great movies of all time. If you want another film similar to this one try The Green Mile. Similar themes and great performances from Tom Hanks and the late great Michael Clarke Duncan
This movie hits me in the feels more than just about any other movie I can think about, though Frank Darabont's other masterpiece "The Green Mile" is a close second (also a Stephen King story). I didn't see this in the theater when it first came out and I regret it. Frank Darabont did one other Stephen King story too: The Mist. That movie has one of the most gut-wrenching endings in history, so be prepared.
The specific performance of Sull'aria... che soave zeffiretto from Figaro is one by Gundula Janowitz and Edith Mathis. Far's I can tell, it was recorded in 1968 (which would make it anachronistic for the year Andy apparently played it for the prison, since he escapes years later in 1966).
Another film my whole family loves with Tim Robbins, "Nothing to Lose". Very funny movie also starring Martin Lawrence. I will keep you and John in my prayers, as always, Take Care & God Bless.
Would it surprise you to hear that this movie bombed at the box office! Great reaction. Amazing movie. Glad you finally got to watch it. Keep it up man.

"Brooks was here"
"So was Red"
I love the little detail when Red walks up to the wall and the tree and the harmonica plays on the soundtrack - the first time in the whole movie. This is where freedom and a life of hope finally begins for Red.
Great film...fun fact. The sewer scene...the "sewage" was actually chocolate sauce. Also, the movie originally ended with Red on the bus, but test audiences wanted to know what happened. So they added the beach scene.
They used chocolate for the toilet scene in Trainspotting too.
@@MikeB12800 And the blood in the shower scene in Psycho
Do you understand now why we were all "I can't believe you haven't seen Shawshank yet????" lol. Such a great movie. So many emotions. It really takes you into the story. Perfect cast. Perfect pacing. Amazing re-watchability. A piece of art. Glad you finally saw it. Great reaction.
I love the sinister monologue that the warden gives Andy when he is in solitary. Really drives home how evil he is.
First 'Everything Everywhere All At Once', now this. Really going through it for us with these emotional movies, Greg. Appreciate you for it!
I'm thinking the same thing.
Also Forrest Gump. He's experienced some amazing films thus far in 2022.
One of my favorite movies of all time! A lot of people forget that Stephen King wrote this story
I'll be honest. I constantly look for videos like this because I want to relive that moment of watching the movie again for the first time. I love the movie. The movie is my number one favorite of all time. But I wish I could see it again for the very first time. So quoting leonthesleepy, let me just say, "Oh man I ENVY you Greg!"
Fun little bit of trivia is that the section of the Bible the hammer was hidden in was Exodus, and Exodus deals with the great escape from Egypt.
One of the most beautiful films ever made, one of the greatest of all time, and Andy Dufresne is one of the greatest movie characters of all time
This is the greatest film ever to not win a single Oscar, despite being nominated for loads.
The greatest movie of all time!
Nominated for 8 Oscars including Best Picture but lost to Forrest Gump which took home 6.
LOTR TRILOGY IS THE GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME
The books are better.
@@vincentfamulag996 The Godfather is the greatest movie of all time. LOTR is just a book adaptation.
@@TheOneWithUA-cam The Godfather is also a book adaptation, so kind of renders your point moot! Plus I'd happily argue that The Godfather Part II is better than Part I!
But also the Year of Pulp Fiction, Interview with a Vampire, etc. Was 17 when I saw it in theater.
I've probably watched this movie a good 20 times and it never gets old.
James Whitmore was brilliant in his betrayal of Brooks, that whole movie within a movie could have won an award for best short story in my opinion or short film.
Portrayal.....
(Ms Fuzzy Britches)
This is my second all time fav movie right behind Boogie Nights.
Always make;s me well up, not so much because of any particular scene, but watching the reactions from this movie which make's me have hope in mankind that people still care about other people.
Great reaction.
He was actually being sarcastic when he said he didn't know who it was. But bless you for trying to be helpful
I can't believe it I CANT BELIEVE IT. Awesome movie, I definitely put this as my number 1 fav movie of all time.
Fun Fact: the mug shot you see of Young Red, is actually Morgan Freemans son Alfonso Freeman.
'I guess I just miss my friend' what a simple yet extremely hard hitting line when spoken by the great Morgan Freeman
Such a brilliant movie in all fronts, and all based on a lovely Stephen King short story. One of the best movie of all time, thanks for watching and reacting!
Still remains one of the greatest movies of all time.
Always shocked to hear someone has never seen Shawshank. It is by far the greatest movie ever made and it’s not close.
Watched for the first time when I was 14 or 15, fucking mind blown.
Not really
I'd say top 5 of all time. I wouldn't say it's the best tho.
It’s great, but not the greatest. It’s your favorite. There’s a difference. Nice try, though.
Oh look at the people who think they get to tell you that you’re wrong. I bet SR is at the top of a staggering number of people’s lists.
The Green Mile is great but The Shawshank Redemption is better, in my opinion. The Shawshank Redemption is probably the greatest film of all time.
Green Mile... Percy Whitmore... haven't heard anything nice there
Clancy Brown, good 'ol Mr. Krabs 🦀
@@xoxoxANGExoxox He wasn't interviewed. It's more action and horror villains.
The guy who played Percy married a teenager in his 50s, as I recall...
1994 was an insane year for movies, This, Forest Gump and Pulp Fiction
Dont forget the greatest animation movie ever made: The Lion King.
The beginning of Morgan Freeman's illustrious narrating career 😆
Red kept giving the same speech every time he was up for parole. Until the last time, after Andy had escaped.
Andy knew Red had no hope and might end up like Brooks. So he made him promise him and sent him on that little scavenger hunt.
Andy always had his friends back.
Yes, this is the best bro-mance movie. 🤗
I always figured that Andy some how bribe the parroll judges
@@shellyzadorozny6962
No. It was Red’s sincerity. He kept saying the same thing each time and it sounded scripted and insincere. The last time he was brutally honest and spoke from the heart. That’s when he was finally approved.
Perfect movie. 10/10, absolutely no nitpicks at all. Loved this one since I saw it as a kid in the 90's.
Greg, you're going to run out of tears if you have all these amazing classic cinema cultural touchstones that you haven't watched yet and are lining up to do so.
The scene of freedom in the rain gives me chills every damn time !
That was one helluva year for movies.
I hope…
2: it’s an excellent adaptation so I also recommend the novella from the collection Different Seasons.
I haven’t even watched the video yet, but my first thought when I saw the thumbnail was “YES! Time to cry with Greg again!” Let’s go!
I wish you would’ve filmed a reaction to that. I’m sure everyone would enjoy seeing that.
This was my favorite film until Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. The last couple films you’ve watched have made me so happy!!! 🤩
I keep hearing great things about everything everywhere all at once. Excited to sit down and finally see it
The short story Stephen King wrote, "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" , and "The Green Mile" were the result of Stephen King's very vocal non support of the death penalty.
I've always felt the prison itself is a character. A beautiful setting for a beautiful story.
So so happy you’ve finally seen this movie. A true classic 🤩
Apparently people couldn’t remember the title
This movie took us on a very satisfying journey....and then took us a little further to a place a movie very rarely gets to.......what a fantastic movie.
'They send you here for life....that's exactly what they take...part that counts anyway'
My God how had I forgotten this gem of a line?
First time I watched this. It definitely made me feel emotions I didn’t know were there. Beautiful movie.
I am a sucker for narration. The minute I hear it in a movie, I am all in!
Blind Wave just reacted to this a few weeks ago. I've gone from not seeing this movie for years to seeing it twice in one summer 😂
I can’t believe my favourite UA-camr who’s opinion I hold highest over all others when concerning movies hadn’t seen the best movie of all time. But what a joy to see you react to it. Love you all
This is one of my all time favorite movies with its satisfying ending and tragic message
Greg crying alone watching emotional movies is now one of my favourite reaction threads on this here hell-site.
This is one of those movies that I can and have repeatedly watched!
Morgan Freeman in my opinion has one the three greatest voices in Hollywood. The others two being James Earl Jones and the late Sean Connery.
GG.
You just now seen my top 5 movies of all time ( I'm 38). Forest Gump and this.. absolutely beautiful movies
One of the greatest movies of all time. Glad you've finally experienced it.
Just as with Forrest Gump, thank you once again for sharing this experience with us. One of my all time favorite movies. It makes me happy knowing you have watched it now.
This was a great reaction. The story of Brooks is an example of a person being "Institutionalized".
Greg. I am glad that you chose this film. Get well and watch many more!❤
Love your reaction. One of the great movies of all time. If you want another film similar to this one try The Green Mile. Similar themes and great performances from Tom Hanks and the late great Michael Clarke Duncan
I love this new trend of doing classic movies!! It’s so joyful, which is much needed at the moment
Forrest Gump is also an incredible film and the top grossing film of the year. Time and IMDB have given Shawkshank (and Green Mile) thier due respect.
"hope a mouse doesnt fart".. said with such emotion, ..lmao, im dead... back to the video..MORE of these, please...
I have seen this multiple times, but every time i saw your lip start to go I was crying along with you.
The brooks scene gets me everytime, even in the reaction I was tearing up a bit.
I feel like this movie used to be in TV like every other week. TBS? TNT? FX? All of the above… How anyone has never seen it is always crazy to me.
Would it surprise you to hear that this movie bombed at the box office! Great reaction. Amazing movie. Glad you finally got to watch it. Keep it up man.
