"You have to wonder ultimately who's going to be able to buy the products." Totally.

thanks for posting - i have a video of ms. ehrenreich speaking at the forum on inequality in NYC, with bill moyers and bob franklin, about 5 years ago. she worked undercover for walmart - just unbelievable what kind of working conditions employees are forced to work in - would you believe having to wear depends, so as not to leave your "work station" unattended? you can't be more degraded than that.

That American belief that you control everything with your attitude, by beaming out positive thoughts, that's crazy and sick, but so many Americans believe it! A lot of times, when I criticize it or make fun of it, Americans just state at me blankly like they can't imagine how anyone could question such an obvious truth.

This was before the 2007 crash. The situation is worse now in 2013. Refer to Richard D. Wolff , Chris Hedges and Thom Hartmann.

It's a hard message to hear, but it's hard to refute.

Agreed. "PMA = OPM" is total bullshit. There are sociopaths who are completely unaffected by a positive attitude. In fact, most will take a PMA as a form of gullibility and ripe for taking advantage.

How is everyone going to be business owners? Some people have to be the workers. I believe that you miss her point. Some percentage of the businesses will fail as well. Working people deserve a livable wage so that they can raise their families.

@kiya97 -- Yes, it is humiliating to have to depend on a tiny minority of owners for our livelihood. Let's dispossess them and become co-owners. This could take the form of cooperatives, with everyone working in a business sharing in its ownership and management. Or the whole community could take the means of production under democratic control.

@LatinoParaSiempre You have to fit in and when your wages go to certain point, you are swapped out for a less expensive and younger model.

Boycott Hewlett-Packard! How can they get away with that? They get an 8Billion dollar tax break and then lay off 14k workers? That's nuts.
