Being a Sikkimese, I am very proud to share this wonderful art with people from all over the world. I am doing a research work on Thangka paintings. It would be very nice if anyone can share more historic materials on it to me.
I'm Christian but I find looking at the art and icons of other belifes to be very intresting. Art is never better then when it's pointing to a higher power.
Sorry, thanka is NOT originated to Tibet but it originated in Nepal (Kathmandu)Valley in Newar Society. Newar merchants brought to Tibet. We even read history of Queen Vrikuti who married to the King Song Chan Gompo who took Thankas and other Buddhist statues with her to Tibet. We the Newars call it Pauva. Paubha and Thankka are very similar or just slidely different Search Paubha or Newari Paubha.
Hello, Where could I best learn to paint traditional meditative Thangkas? Could you please give me a website or other contact information of the Thangka house shown in this video? Thankyou! 🙏 Reny
It was originated from india at gupta period which then influence in nepal and china atlast tibet has made it most perfection with the influence of all these three countries...
some your monk make it to jannah/heaven ...his tangka really heavenly look. -:tankas....tankas for me like assignment from prophet Muhamad... really lazy to make it, human really get when things relate to deed...if I spend my time paint tankas I do less sins...my prophet Muhamad love like heavy metal one tankas full with fire 🔥🔥🔥 like a hell reminder...it hard to make it.
I can see the mistakes that he made in the thanka art but it might be the nervousness because he was gatting filmed while drawing it . But it's normal ❤❤
This is not exact thanka lining graphic with conect to real buddha body structure but...however he try to make good .....& i m sorry to comment their art

I’m sorry but wrong information. In google, it’s said, the first thangka was originated from Nepal.
no google is wrong it was originated in Sikkim
It was originated from india at gupta period which then influence in nepal and china atlast tibet has made it most perfection with the influence of all these three countries...
@@Let_me_learn1999 not true. Paubha is a newar artist tradition. Newar artists have been trading with Tibet.
You should keep the music in the background.. Slow and soothing. The narrator's voice is getting drowned in all this
Why did they put dislike?

It's not easy, it's to hard to learn. And meditation is needed.
