just another grey morning some weeks before the onset of winter, this is the order of things into which we have been born and to which we have committed ourselves by compliance
@@jaws_of_thirst7530 As an American I feel this especially today. And no matter what happens, tomorrow will continue the same even if it's leavened by a little rearrangement of political deck chairs. But we can always hope the grey sky lightens up some for a while.... And that that's not just a snow job in the onset of winter.
Ah, this is one of my personal favorites! I'm looking forward to enjoying this before bed, as I have all your wonderful readings of Ligotti. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot for that! Well... I haven't even read either of those stories yet--but they're now on my list for recording after a break. I'm finishing up "Purity" (the last Ligotti legacy request I have)--then I'm going to try some non-Ligotti next. But I'll be back, as Arnie would say....
@@manifestdust Cool. If your looking for non Ligotti works I'd recommended "Boy in Darkness" by Mervyn Peake(author of Gormanghast). Not widely known, but its a incredible combination of the fairy tale and horror. Its as if Thomas Ligotti wrote a Rohl Dahl book. Its probably the most neglected master piece in all of weird fiction.
One of my favourites. When I read Ligotti now it's your voice I hear.

Thanks!
Of all the narrators of Ligotti's fiction, your the best.
Have you considered doing a recording "The Tsalal" or "The Small People"?

@@onepiecefan74 Thanks for this reminder. I've never read this but am a Peake fan.
@@manifestdust If your a fan of Peake then its a must. It a little hard to get a physical copy of but its on the internet archive.
@@onepiecefan74 Got it. Probably not next read, but it'll come eventually....
You really are a great narrator.
@@no99mnecfw Thanks so much!
