I have seen many of your sound rest videos and this video was your best one you ever made. The speakers are beautiful with the wood. Plus I really like tower speakers. The quartz are more hollow sounding then the Cantons.
The MBs are playing louder than the the Cantons in the midrange. So a comparism is difficult. They sound more direct. But the cantons sound as they have the wider frequency range and more bass extension. The MBs are a good choise, I think. Is that the Canton RCL? Do you use it with the Control Unit? Do you know the MB Quart 980 s? If yes,how would you rate them?

To me, the MB's sound better, but I guess it's due to the place of the mic? I had T+A when I was young, but I prefer the warm English sound instead of the cheerful German sound. I'm happy with Mission 754 (great combination with Sony ES amps).

deze mb's zijn idd erg goed. Toen de koper kwam heb ik veel harder gespeels dan komt de mb echt tot zijn recht, strakke bas ook al gaan de canton's dieper. Mr2 heb ik nooit eerder gehoord, ben nu wel nieuwsgierig geworden
Canton Ergo are good speakers. I have also the rc-l. But i have to admit that the tweeters aren't as good at it seems. I compared the Rc-L with Klipsch RF 5 and the Heco Superior and the canton loses details in the hight frequencies. It's kind of strange because the tweeters from canton are loud but not very detailed.
@@vintagestereo I would say yes, because the ergo rc-l costed 2500 € in 1998. You had to pay 2000 € for Klipsch RF 5 and 2000 € for the Heco Superior 950 Fortissimo in 1992.

get yourself a set of rode M5 mics come as a balance pair, for about €125 best quality nothing can beat it at that price
even cheap £15 XLR mics and a behringer mixer will be better than a zoom
