    Why do ppl adopt kids just to harm them? Or when a parent fights so hard 4 custody just to abuse and kill the kids?

      I’ve wondered the same. There’s too many cases lately like this one. I’ve heard several where a child is taken out of public school to homeschool right after a teacher or classmate ask about injuries or the child being underweight. I’m not opposed to homeschooling but if 1 adult has several foster children and is homeschooling all of them , you’d think CPS would keep an eye on them. I know CPS is understaffed and overworked but this has gotten out of control. Something must change. It takes a monster to beat, starve, torture and murder an animal… even worse a child!

    • @angelicakoutsouridakis5816
      @angelicakoutsouridakis5816 19 днів тому +3

      Cps has always been failing children. And every time that a child dies, they say that lessons have been learned and that things will improve. And then it happens again. And again.
      And when they try to deflect the blame, and says that the social workers are too few, overworked, burned out etc, well if you know that your job has a direct impact on childrens lives and you know that one single home visit may be the line between life or death for a child, then either you suck it up and give 100% or you should call it quits and change profession. Because half ass shit may do really serious harm and that’s on you too, if you didn’t do a home visit or if you didn’t check the right things etc.
      And that’s a problem in the whole world from what si know. I live in Sweden and I know for a fact that they sometimes just chose to let an abusive parent be the primary care giver because even though this and this and this was negative, well the child did do well in school so that must mean he is a good parent even though he’s admitted to kicking his 10 y.o son between the legs. (Sorry, I’m so frustrated that I can’t keep my personal problems out of the comment) and recently I read in the newspaper (in my city) that cps lost track of a whole family. I don’t remember if there were 4 or 5 children, but cps knew both parents were abusive (as well as addicts) and because they didn’t have anywhere to place the children at the moment, they decided to leave them with the parents untill they could find where to place them. And when they was going to check up on them, apparently the whole family had moved out and now they can’t find them. And the police can’t find them since “let’s just say that they’re not located at the address that we have on them” like that excuse makes it better. I have no faith in the system anymore.

    Hi!
    As an adopted person, they don't do well being checks once you're adopted. If you're a "hard case"; older, mental/behavioral/disabilities, health concerns, the system is more inclined to not really investigate a home that is willing to adopt. Adoption means you will no longer receive checks from the state for basic needs. However, if that child has a disability, you will then get full SSI from the federal government, depending on the child's needs and level of disability. SSI also pays family to be care takers.
    Aa for why she did it. She's a monster. Maybe she's greedy. She's definitely sadistic and manipulative. A psychopath. Being greedy doesn't really explain the slow torture. That psychology testing isn't done on prospective foster/adoptive parents is scary. There should be intense testing. They have the ability to do it.
    Those poor babies. They were so alone in a house full of people. The bio mom, forced to give up her children, probably eased her pain with the thought that they were better off.😢
    Another thing, homeschooling should be a red flag and those homes should be monitored. For safety and to ensure the learning environment is conducive to education. Those kids have NO say in a decision that will greatly impact their future. I had a neighbor who wanted to home school. She had dropped out at 15. She didn't want her kids "exposed to 'those' people". She had her kids taken away due to drug use.
    Too many times we hear that the kids were kept home where no one would witness the abuse. There's no 3rd party record of the children even existing.

    • @didimagnin3744
      @didimagnin3744 21 день тому +12

      You are absolutely right - homeschooling is a major red flag.

    • @chilltarts
      @chilltarts 21 день тому +5

      Homeschooling is not always a bad thing. I chose to homeschool my son for middle school because we were back and forth between our home in Myrtle Beach and his grandmother who was ailing in VA and refused to leave her home. We eventually gave in and moved to VA to care for her full time and he reentered public high school to help me alleviate the strain of being a full time teacher and home health caretaker. When he did, though, he was miles ahead of the kids in his classes. It had only been 3 years, but they were still doing curriculum we had covered years ago.
      The fact of the matter is, our public school paradigm has gotten quite sad. Instead of teaching the children to think through issues for themselves and find the answers, they concentrate on rote memorization for the end-of-grade standardized tests. That's not really education. But with all that being said, anyone who does homeschool should have no problem with the state checking in on their progress or the welfare of the children. I know it wouldn't have bothered me one bit, nor the homeschooling community we got involved in. It's only a redflag when the adults in the household are trying to hide the children from scrutiny. Simple welfare checks on adopted children could absolutely alleviate that issue. So, my question is, why is our CPS system so full of holes? That's the real crux of the issue that I see coming up again and again and again and again. 😢

      @didimagnin3744 not necessarily. I am going to put my autistic daughter she's level 3 non verbal into cyber school because I don't trust people in my small town. She doesn't do well gone from house . She could never sit through school for 8 hrs. They Also put kids with behavior issues who are violent with the autistic children. I wouldn't want my daughter to get hurt and she's not able to tell me what happened

However, the ones who are trying....Lord help us never give up. The system needs to change and therefore your storytelling must continue. I'm so grateful to you for this. I know most are corrupt. Which is why I often don't tell people I'm a foster parent. They automatically assume the worst. I'm torn. We can't say "all" because it scares people from participating in the foster care system. But we still have to call attention to the "bad" ones. Endless battle. But again, thank you for doing what you are doing.

    This is beyond sickening. I can't believe I've never heard of this case before. You would think this case would be getting talked about everywhere. As citizens, if we see something that seems off, its on us to do what we can, especially when it involves children. Whatever that means, pressuring authorities just to check up, asking questions in a Very Friendly way to get a better idea without making the abuser defensive. Self righteous confrontation is putting our own pride above actually helping a possible victim bc the children or if it's dv the woman has to go home with that abuser and now it's worse. We have to help each other in this world. People can't survive without a support system and without one victims are trapped, scared, and their perception is just warped.

    You are great at this. When talking about such disturbing, unnatural, very real experiences, especially when directed towards such a vulnerable innocent child, how the host chooses to word and describe the circumstances is literally top priority. I really like the respect your tone and expression gives to each one of the victims you choose to discuss. New follower...thank you. 👍✌️

    Thank you,,, we do agree and ask the same questions,,, the system is that lazy and incompetent, that this has happened so many times and sadly will continue to happen, if the ""SYSTEM "" is not put in place,,, Again thank you,, be well and stay safe from Australia 👍 Great to seeing you expand with your podcast ✌️✌️

    This is so disturbing to no that nobody followed up on these kids for years!! I'd love to foster, but although I have 3 grown married children with there own homes, I myself & husband live with 2 bedrooms empty, our goal was to foster as we have huge hearts & our home was full of kid when ours were younger & it was always here they wanted to stay, but I'm disabled now. But to think these children go to homes like this rips my heart out. I'd do it for nothing not a pay check! It's the only way to find true foster parents. Mx

    Well, when I saw the video title I knew they couldn’t be talking about Machelle Hobson, her adopted victims survived, but then SHE died not long afterwards. Talk about an irony of justice!👍

    Im not gunna lie, i found this EXTREMELY confusing, one minute Rachel says London should have been 27 but a little bit later she says that London's body was discovered in the burn pit and that was from 2017 and that she was 18.....
    I AM SO CONFUSED.

    After kids are adopted most states only require one year of an adoptive case open with child services. After that it is closed. If kids are home schooled and not visible and moves.. no one knows they exist. It is a horrible reality but child protection can’t follow them until they are 18 as they are legally hers. She clearly had her own ways of making it look good for the time any service needed to be involved.
