Snow leopards are one of the most beautiful creatures on Planet earth, I love them since I first watch'em on television when I was just 4, Thank you so much for Showing us this beautiful documentary
Was at a local Wildlife Park here in Scotland a few days ago, taking photographs of Amur Tigers and 2 adult, Snow Leopards with 3 cubs. Their enclosure, being the side of a steep , rocky hillside was quite realistic. They breed them and people get chance to see such marvellous creatures up close. But so nice to see them in their natural habitat. Thank you for a great documentary film and for all those helping to conserve these elusive animals.
A well designed enclosure like the gives unique opportunities to observe intimate behavior. Those cubs must be so interesting to observe! There are dedicated people who are working to protect this elusive beauty but more needs to be done to protect its future.
Enclosures make all the difference. Here in San Diego, California, we have one of the “best” zoos, or so they say… but for decades, the snow leopards we’re housed in a large wire screen cage, with cement flooring and some large conifer trees to perch in. In total, the entire enclosure was maybe 30’ wide x 20’ high x 20’ deep, or 9m x 6m x 6m… Way too small. Oftentimes, you’d clearly be able to see the leopards, but they just would be sleeping way up high. And the same setup, for years, for the pumas, lynx, Amur leopards, wolves and various other felines & canids. Thank God they changed those out… meanwhile, the zoo’s second location, the San Diego Safari Park, has a wooded hillside enclosure that is absolutely massive, filled with bamboo, rocks, caves & hiding places. Just a much better setup. So good that you rarely can even see the animals. People say “what’s the point” but your visual appreciation isn’t necessarily the point! Ha! Also here in San Diego, where we are obviously at sea level (and conditions are much warmer than the mountains of Central Asia), the zookeepers give the snow leopards (and polar bears, bharal, etc) regular snow showers. They do this by using a modified firehose that freezes the water into pure snow. It’s the perfect enrichment for the snow leopards, and they often hide food and medication treats in the snow to find.
Masha Allah I never thought l will be able to see these wild animals in here Pakistan🇵🇰♥️ I have always seen in the national geographic videos may Allah protect our country

Greetings from Kurdistan to my Pakistani brothers and sisters...I hope one day my people will follow this lead because they are shooting animals left and right on the mountains without even thinking about it, like the elusive persian leopard.
This is so sad. Persians leopards are beautiful cats. Without the wildlife mountains lose more than half of their beauty!
They are doing the same with regular leopards 🐆 in Pakistan 🇵🇰.
ماشاءاللہ۔
Beautiful Pakistan
