Works wonders for me and the bonus is you still have a Matt dry look.

I still don't get what hair texture I have, it's super frizzy and coarse when it's dry, it's super thick, and is wavy, but when I let it grow to around 3- 3 1/2 inches it grows up and doesn't fall on the side of my head. I'm scared to let it grow any further because I don't want it to grow straight up and look ridiculous. Yet, when it's wet it's super wavy and moisturized, and falls straight down. SyN Ergy I would let it grow out if it grows straight up it probably grows a little bit in one direction so after your shower comb to one side then low dry it to the same side after you do that you want stroke it back and use some kind of molding cream it might kind of stick up but by the time it gets longer it will start to lay to one side

For a disconnected undercut, what should I tell my barber? Mainly, I'm not sure about how to tell them how I want the sides. Yesterday I went and got a haircut and it was great apart from the back and sides. She did about half with a grade two and then the upper half nearest the hair with the scissors so it wasn't as short. However, you can tell the contrast between them both and it doesn't look very good when that goes all around the back and sides. It looks more like an odd bowl cut. I'm going back tomorrow to have her do it differently, but I'm not sure how to describe the undercut to her. I showed her a picture of you from the side once and she asked if I wanted the parting put in, but from what I know there isn't a parting, it's just a transition straight from short hair on the sides and long hair on the top. If you have any advice on what I should tell her so that she knows what I want it would be much appreciated! Thank you. :) Keep up the great videos.

Joe, this has been the hairstyle I've tried to achieve the last half year or so. I have a problem though.. The side of the hair where it's parting, you know the opposite side of the swept down hair, that hair keeps up all day, but the side swept falls down and gets very uneven.. Hope you understand what I meant, haha! What could I do to possibly get it as good as yours? :D

I'm trying to do this style and I can't seem to do it. My hair naturally goes towards my left, but it immediately flat. Although, it used to be poofy. I have thick straight hair, asian, and it works if I make it go towards the right, with the volume. What can I do to solve this?
Go right, then left. Get your hair damp, add pre-styling products and blow dry it in the opposite direction it naturally grows. Then when it's about 80% dry, flip it to the side it naturally grows and force some direction/extra volume into your hair before it dries (remember to go through with cold air when done). Since your hair is pulling in the opposite direction, it will naturally give it volume, but it will be sitting in its natural direction, making the hair not look artificial and it will generally just sit nicer
this happens to me a lot with your haircut videos, where i really like your hair in places before the actual final look (which is also nice dont get me wrong). like at 1:04, or even when you were putting the clay in your hair at 2:55, you should try rocking that messy look for a day

This whole time, one simple extra step while blow drying with a brush is what I needed to get better volume when I used to style my hair. God dammit.
