I've got a friend who absolutely loved this type of music, especially Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes. Sadly, he passed away last week and every time I listen to music like this I think of him. RIP SKY!
I've watched this 10 times and I'm going to listen to it 100 more times and keep on going. After just discovering Yussef and Rocco, enter Tom. I'm in another world of music and so utterly grateful to have come across these guys. THIS...this is the kind of shit I absolutely love! You couldn't take any one part away from this because all three are SO strong and are necessary to complete that epic groove. What a masterpiece! Mind blown.
I always had John Mayer as my biggest influence as a songwriter/guitarist. But your album Geography changed my life and at this point I can say you are my biggest idol. I hope we can jam someday if you ever come to Argentina!

Chris Egglestone I think you’re right. I don’t see Tom or the bass player wearing ear pieces. It’s impressive to keep time as a drummer but to also play as he does, and for the guitar and bass to maintain the count. It’s refreshing to hear this style done so well.

The fact that this was recorded in Kyiv is dope. Gives it an extra sense of urgency, just for stepping our of the comfort zone of North America and Western Europe. Kudos.
Roman S interesting thought! When I got to visit the DMZ in SK, I remember looking north out over the horizon to the Kaesong Heights and wondering what’s beyond there...North Korea, China, Russia. A whole different world. Like the America of the East. Just as big or bigger, but different.

That signature Tom Misch effect with the stank face is what I need
HE BE STANKI THO
You know it's good when it gets stanky like that.
copied cliches then?
u have to listen to it with same face its even better
its a frequency filter that is more or less intense depending on how hard you plug the strings its pretty cool stuff :^)
Well, everybody talking about Yussef or Tom, but we have to be serious: Rocco is killing it! Amazing groove!
Rocco is Pino Palladino's son like father like son, Pino is a underrated legend on bass, Pino plays for John Mayer, the who and etc
credit to that bass player, stuck his part and the timing was impeccable
Ben Horobin that’s Pino’s son!!
I was wondering when the Bass was going to get some love
Yeah he had rhythm, taste and groove.. tom had no originality in his licks , solos , modes whatsoever. Being a fresh lead guitarist is hard

How does Tom always seem to write music that’s sublimely chill but hits so hard at the same time?
Yussef killing it on the drums,as always
When Tom yells “yoooo!” During Yussefs break, so cerebral
Heavy Thundercat vibes on this one, absolutely love the atmosphere, Tom Misch for president
Thundercat, Yussef Dayes, Flying Lotus would be a dope collab , would love to see what Madlib and Yussef could come up with also
i hear a mansur brown influence too
It would be an improvement..111%
What is a UA-cam bubble?... sez the dude on UA-cam
Similar bass riff to them changes
Tom and Yussef go together like bread and butter. And i dont care what anyone says, He is one of the best drummers.
Peanut butter and mf jelly.

Yussef Dayes always looking like he about to transcend on the kit.
The secret is he is transcending 😂

This version (live) is better than the one on spotify! Yussef's drumming sounds tighter and crisp
Completely agree, so annoying. The breakdown section is much better here.
