    Reverse threading is often found in automotive applications, because of the rotation of the axle. Viewed from one side, screwing a thread in the usual direction works just fine, but on the other side it's a mirror image, and if you used the standard conventions, the damn thing would unscrew itself as the vehicle rolls down the road.
    It was amusing to listen to you explaining how you cross-connected the air compressors, while the chickens complained in the background.

    • @zacharykelly7434

    At a sheet metal shop I worked at they had 4 compressors working in tandem, all with their own reservoirs, pumping into another larger reservoir. It was all done in black pipe, but the same concept. As the electrician at the shop, I staged them so they wouldn't all turn on and off at the same time, causing a voltage drop in the shop.
    Your concept is sound and safe, as long as your hose is rated for the PSI of the maximum set-point of your pressure switch and PRV (Pressure Relief Valve). If both those fail.... Good luck.

    • @KJ-kw7gh
      @KJ-kw7gh 5 років тому

    I have done that compressor trick for years, and I even added an extra expansion tank in with a 10 gallon portable tank. Also, if you have compressors that are rated to different ratings, you can still do it, you just have to put a regulator in the system between them set for the pressure of the lower rating. In my case both my compressors are 150psi, but my expansion tank is 125, so I have a regulator going into the tank. Been running it that way for about 4 years with no issues.

      @@SkullCrusher757 There is no sword made by man or god that could help. Had a 12hour stop off on my way to New Zealand. It is an understatement to say its hot there. A more accurate assessment would be "Why live half a mile away from the surface of the sun?"

    First-time viewer here. I like how around the 20-minute mark, you're testing the hammer on that pile of lumber and the chickens in the background just don't give a damn. Like, "Oh yeah, the big one. Nah, he does that all the time. No big deal."

    Ganging compressors is fairly common. I have done exactly this around 15 years ago for sandblasting a bunch of truck parts and was having a slow time with just 1 compressor, so I manifolded a second one of the same size and put it on a separate circuit.
