Honestly the most actionable advice in this video is the air compressor trick.

"If you die, get one of your family members to write in.."
You sir got a subscriber for that hilarious line :D
"Try to touch other parts of me"
Mr. Cthulhu knows the internet so well.
"I haven't been able to think of a reason why this would get me killed..." line of the year
it's true tho, doing that can't kill you, provided you haven't messed with the pressure switches of the compressors and the connections are strong.
Yeah, a lot of us too poor for our hobbies do this trick. Remember that the weakest part will fail first. Also hoses can put the dangerous bits on the other side of a wall...
Other people: Making a FULL SIZE spiked sledgehammer!
MichaelCthulhu: Microbuild
to be fair his "micro' builds are still pretty big lol
@@johnh290 Well yes that was the joke of his fucking comment
in this case micro might mean it took one or 2 days
If it is under 100lbs it is micro
**has pointy weapon** **swings pointy weapon into burning log** **weapon is now on fire** **it's twice as effective now!**
my neighbour pissed me off i want to smash his shit but thats bad karma... i will buy a charity warpick NEUTRAL karma!!!
I was thinking the same thin
It got fire buff. +90 fire dmg
enemies on fire take extra damage
And it's double edged so it's four times as effective
9:25 "and i realized this thing is probably designed to never come out ever"
yeah if that thing comes apart everybody on the bus has a bad day
It looks like it had a retaining nut on it, that could have been removed to make the ball joint come out.
@@MeleeTiger if you mean the nut on the side, that is greasing port, probably already ground down. mechanics press in the grease through there so the joint doesnt wear out too quickly.
@@MeleeTiger I think the fitting is stamped around it to hold it tight no matter what
Indeed...Maintenance and daily inspections help to stave off those bad days with those.
Could you please explain what that thing is & why it would be bad if it would come apart? Sorry I know nothing about cars
Adding that checkerboard pattern makes it look like a Borderlands Torgue weapon. EXPLOSIONS!!
I thought it made it look more WarHammer 40k Orkish
@@jonathangibson9098 That's the red for you, makes it go faster.
Torgue would be very disappointed that it doesn't blow up on impact
Looks like an Ork weapon from Warhammer 40k. Just needs to be even bigger.
And preferably rocket-powered.
Add more dakka to taste as well
MostlyJovial - Da uman boyz make spiky club
Plot twist, Michael is actually a giant, so the hammer is warhammer 40k orc sized...
@@ShiningDarknes red makes it hit harder
Lol i thought he was gonna say "if you die dont blame me" but nope... "write in" :P
"facepalm"
lol right.
For science.
Hay, he didn't say "do it" he said "if you do this and it kills you"
Write in so he can stop... we are his canaries
Ok can we talk about how strong this dude must be.
This is a toothpick compared to some of his work. Micro build=manageable for regular humans
He is the spawn of chutulu
Lifting this is like lifting a pen compared to some of his work
105 pound axe, a few years ago, that’s about all that needs to be said
3:39 did your rooster just transform into a werwolf? xD
I think this is like a fight club thing. the first rule about having a pet werechicken, is you don't talk about having a werechicken! .....

for years this guy has been on my mind and I could never remember his name n now I found him again time to binge
Same. Literally typed Irish sword guy into UA-cam and here I am
"I'm coming to Australia"
*[happy didgeridoo noise]*
Crikey
“Always remember to wear your mask and gloves while wielding.” Immediately proceeds to do neither of those things
This had me dying
You were right about the checker pattern. Turned it into a properly Orkish weapon along with the red. Should go suitably fast.
Mike: "I need to make a microbuild for charity... something small.... oh I know, a sledgehammer!"
Me: Gets random video on suggest list "Spledgehammer you say?"
Also Me afterwatching: "This is dude is awesome, literally just found my favorite my UA-camr/weapon Smith.''
yeah he is awesome
YES that's exactly what happened with me as well lol!!! How did I not know about this guy hes AWESOME!!!
I got unsubbed somehow....glad I found him again. Check out his battle angel weapon build if you haven't already.
The head may be Orky, but that pommel is clearly Adeptus Mechanicus.
(Blubbers in binary) but that'd tech heresy!
Adeptus Orkus..?
Reverse threading is often found in automotive applications, because of the rotation of the axle. Viewed from one side, screwing a thread in the usual direction works just fine, but on the other side it's a mirror image, and if you used the standard conventions, the damn thing would unscrew itself as the vehicle rolls down the road.
It was amusing to listen to you explaining how you cross-connected the air compressors, while the chickens complained in the background.
with steering linkages like that its also common for one side to be reverse thread so that they can be adjusted without being removed
Exactly
Its aheim jointed adjustable linkage arm. You loosen the clamping bolts on both ends on an installed linkage arm then spin the barrel to adjust it's length before locking it down again.
Watch the backswing, though!
"Is there something more fiery to smash?"
Asking the important questions.
At a sheet metal shop I worked at they had 4 compressors working in tandem, all with their own reservoirs, pumping into another larger reservoir. It was all done in black pipe, but the same concept. As the electrician at the shop, I staged them so they wouldn't all turn on and off at the same time, causing a voltage drop in the shop.
Your concept is sound and safe, as long as your hose is rated for the PSI of the maximum set-point of your pressure switch and PRV (Pressure Relief Valve). If both those fail.... Good luck.
How would they cause a voltage drop in the shop running at the same time?
@@KJ-kw7gh probably a 3 phase system.
love your vids, you have taught me a lot watching your videos and your tips and tricks. thank you for doing what you do and sharing with us on your awesome craftsmanship.
"Soot acts as anti spatter" another nugget of wisdom
Love the vids keep up the good work
I'm so glad I finished my coffee before you steeped out of the shed in your shorts.
I swear the funniest thing about watching Micheal is realizing that if we ever got invaded by 40K orks , they'd likely spare us and everything we know if he agreed to go make them Choppa's and hacka's and smasha's
Orks do keep prisoners/slaves, and they don't INTENTIONALLY break them either.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone transform a tie rod and ball joint into anything so cool......and potentially dangerous.
Well played!
“I haven’t been able to think of a reason that this would get me killed” I commonly think about things like that
Micheal remember to pack an equal amount of knives and spoons! You don't want to run out of options in a game of knifey-spoony! -They'll take all your dollarie-doos!
I know more than two mechanics who do that same compressor trick and the same hose they connected has stayed that way for over 15 years I think you'll be alright lol
HE'S AT 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS? I've been subbed to him before he had 40,000 subscribers and i love that he's gotten recognition he has. I love watching these and I remember just staying up all night watching an hour and 40 minute video of him building a final fantasy sword
weapon can't remember if it was a sword or not
"Micro" build.
😅😁😁Love you Michael.
This man used to build dragonslayer.
the amount of joy you get when you smash things at the end of your videos is intoxicating.
"Burn it
and THEN Whop it"
Need that on a shirt mike
Be careful who you wear it around.
Look's like a weapon out of Borderlands, from the manufacturer TORGUE. I love it!
So who's ready for a Mr. Cthulhu's Metal Shop class to be taught in schools these days ?
Oh yeah sure give me MORE reasons to wish i could head back to school
I love your reasoning. I haven't thought of any way that this would kill me👍😁👍
You NEVER heat up a ball joint!! ive seen them full on hand grenade in someones face before.
in highschool automotives class , this is exactly how one kid blew his hand apart
Right lmao i was thinking that. The expansion of the metal in the enclosed area
Look, one way or another, you gotta build up an immunity to death, otherwise you're not gonna make it in this world.
Sure, you start easy, rancid food, dirty toilets, firecrackers, but you GOTTA move on to the bigger stuff.
Hand grenade seems about appropriate for Michael McMadLad. :D
(This is a joke, seriously, don't torch ball joints, you'll fucking die.)
Yolo
or just heat them from a distance.
This is the most practical thing I think you've built since the tac-spatulas :D I love it
If i had the knowledge i have now as a child, when grownups ask me what i want to be when i grow up....
I would show them this video. and smiled... wide :DDDD
I could absolutely use something like that as The Ultimate Turbo Log Splitter. It's going on my project list. But I'll need the one half of it to be plain flat sledge hammer. Love it! Micro.... nuttin micro about this brother.
Well it sounds like the rooster kicked the bucket time to get a new rooster
Sounded like a demon rooster
I love it, it's like some badass jury-rigged thing you'd see in a post-apocalyptic setting.
you know a "micro" build is still HUGE when "normal" builds are so big no one can lift them xD
I wanna see what he would consider a "mega" build...
This dude just educated us on home made torches and a mobile game at the same damn time. Masterful.
If only my D&D fighter knew how to make torches, he wouldn't have had to spend all his goldz in the provisions store 😥
I mean to be fair he would still spend his gold on other things. Just be happy it was ale and company lol
That's actually a awesome POV that you did with the hammer, and the hammer looks post-apocolyptic
Its funny you brought up warhammer orcs at the painting segment, i actually thought this weapon was from 40k when i saw the thumbnail
Manly grunting and gleeful giggling are both present in this video, and it's great.
Australia needs to officially change the name of it's currency to Dollaridoos.
Thanks for being you. Your totally at peace with who you are and its refreshing to watch as i have no idea what i want to be
Love how you just sort of rummage through the scrap pile and useful bits just kind of come flying out...
I have done that compressor trick for years, and I even added an extra expansion tank in with a 10 gallon portable tank. Also, if you have compressors that are rated to different ratings, you can still do it, you just have to put a regulator in the system between them set for the pressure of the lower rating. In my case both my compressors are 150psi, but my expansion tank is 125, so I have a regulator going into the tank. Been running it that way for about 4 years with no issues.
This guy looks EXACTLY like my mentor, but ya know, a little more unhinged.
The best mentors are unhinged
Soot is used to keep the lead from sticking to molds when casting bullets. How did I miss the "antispatter" use for it?! Genius! That giggle at the end though. That's the giggle of a little kid in a toy store. It's genuine, I can tell.
“Try to touch other parts of me”
Oh...oh my...
Oh my goodness that first person view of the hammer spike was amazing to watch!
8:33 - Hits head but brushes it off like it's nothing.
That's not his head. Probably the respirator.
This made me laugh
At my mechanic shop, I have a 5ft tall tank and another tank with the compressor on it. With that, we've doubled our available air volume and kept the same pressure. This allows us to run multiple pneumatic tools at once for a time without the pump starting up again. :)
3:39 - 3:44
Did that rooster just turn into a pig?!
Just saw this dude on 'To Tell the Truth"... so glad this showed up in my queue
Did he just craft a torch using a stick/wax and fire whilst explaining his sponsored game? I felt like i learned something at least unlike other channels.
I knew Mad Max was just an Australian documentary, thank you for confirming 😁👍
@14:42 you can see the proper side the ball joint is supposed to come out of the tie rod end.
Me: Mike, this face mask will keep your skin looking young and beautiful.
Mike: Dude, I've been a welder for a while, I know.
Woah now you can make Redstone pickaxes in Minecraft now? Thanks for the recipe dude
In all honesty. That torch building is awesome. Definitely gonna use that.
Mike. is your home a steel workers paradise or what? XD
"Try to touch my hand, try to touch other parts of me." Then the stare.
Did you just fart at 8:14 or was it the "trumpet bugs" running around..
That was a secret fart but he forgot about how good his mic was.... LoL
It was the werecock
That thing looks so amazing and I have to agree very industrial ....also WWWAAAAAAARGH!!!
You are going to Oz? An Irishman? Word of advice, factor 10 billion sun block!
maybe he should keep a sword nearby to kill snakes and scorpions
@@SkullCrusher757 and dropbears
@@SkullCrusher757 There is no sword made by man or god that could help. Had a 12hour stop off on my way to New Zealand. It is an understatement to say its hot there. A more accurate assessment would be "Why live half a mile away from the surface of the sun?"
15 cans of fly repellent / OFF. You'll thank me later.
It’s winter in Australia at the moment.
First-time viewer here. I like how around the 20-minute mark, you're testing the hammer on that pile of lumber and the chickens in the background just don't give a damn. Like, "Oh yeah, the big one. Nah, he does that all the time. No big deal."
I’ve never been called a colonial person before lol. Btw I love the video and happy America day to you as well
You know you haven't had fun yet until you've attached a go-pro to your Spledgehammer and smashed something with it! Awesome video!
Not being mean but is guy some dwarf from the medieval times
Also great build
Ganging compressors is fairly common. I have done exactly this around 15 years ago for sandblasting a bunch of truck parts and was having a slow time with just 1 compressor, so I manifolded a second one of the same size and put it on a separate circuit.
You should forge the Frostmourne of Lich King from World of Warcraft
I like this mans thought process just add fire for extra coolness
I remember you when you had 73K you weren’t as good but now you tell a great story with each video
I love the way makes a mess but and the half arsed way he does things and brings us masterpieces spot on thank u
come on you know you left it red so it would swing faster? lol
I’ve done the same with a 3 and a 6 gallon to have enough power to run a framing nailer lol. Nice work man.
“Is this counter”
I guess everything’s upside down in Australia
It's a Tie rod, they're reverse for one end, so that when you spin the rod one way, you suck the entire thing in, the other way it extends.
Man i always wanted to know what a first person view of breaking wood and cinderblocks with my head would look like, thank you for making my dream come true!
*NOW THAT ROIT THEREZ AN ORKY WEAPON YA GIT!*
Love the way you turn trash pieces into masterpieces. Good job Mike 👍
Send this video to Shadiversity and ask him... How many Kinghts will die to this Double side War Pike.
AMBUKNIGHT needless to say, very many
