I sound like Emma with my primary students playing football, only difference is, I give out indications in Spanish.

She's doing it at 0-0 and still doing it at 0-2. Gotta be annoying, but probably makes a huge difference. 'cause 5-1 does not reflect the difference of skill between Chelsea and Wolfsburg.

people have this (mostly incorrect) idea that your work as a manager is done by the time you step behind the touch line. but we know as coaches that our main job on match day is to make those microscopic changes and make sure the players are playing up to expectation, so why leave the players in the dark on what your thought process is in the moment, as long as it’s not distracting? plus she’s focusing on one particular aspect of the defense and buildup so she’s still giving the forwards and attacking midfielders plenty of leeway to rely on their creativity and vision on the other side of the ball. you notice the feedback there is much more limited and specific (e.g. “play the pass sooner”) and that when she stopped giving instruction on defense they started looking a little lost. that makes me think that’s why she was this involved to begin with.

If she worked on this during training she would not need to shout so much.

Not great tbh, a proper coach would have drilled the game beforehand. If there was a loud crowd, that team would have been rudderless.

do you not think klopp & guardiola are shouting the same stuff at their players. The only reason you hear it is cos no one is there. Go watch premier league games during the pandemic and you can hear the same from klopp

jose mourinho used to pass notes on to his player when he brought on subs. Alex ferguson used to give his players the same treatment

She's cheating lol. Passing notes in the middle of the game hahaha. anyway, love the way she always find a way for her team to score the goals.

coaches are allowed to do that, there are more vocal ones and less vocal ones...

@@amelia-0277 yes I know that.. Otherwise she would be getting more yellow cards than the players lol. either way, she's the first female manager to reach her team to the finals which is a great achievement for women's football. I now would love to see Chelsea win, even though I am Arsenal fan.

jose mourinho used to put subs on with notes for players on the pitch. Done it to Frank lampard many a time.
