Most unselfish person. He has given away so much tips. I wonder if there are some more videos like these. A true genius who can even handle Carnatic style . Thanks for uploading these clips.
What a gentle and sweet man to teach you to play the violin. He knows how to talk to young people, as did Dorothy Delaye . I often wonder what Heifetz was like as a teacher, I am told that although he was a brilliant Violinist that he was a hard person to get on with .
Here is a very humble and very smart and sharing mind in this Great Violinist who was Yehudi Menuhin...So bad he is gone, but very hopefully he left behind these wonderful videoes...A Great Mind who also shared the views of Ravi Shankar wom he has also met and known...Thank you very much to those who have posted these videos...
This is just great! I'm a double bassist, and this preparatory exercises are very common and adaptables for all strings instruments, very useful information, from a truly master
the most beautiful thing I have seen for body relaxation exercises, we are always in pain because nobody has ever instructed us in this ..... thank you very much great MAN ❤️ Thank you 🙏 thank you thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Read the book "Heifetz as I Knew Him", by Ayke Agus. She was a student in his master class, and she was his piano accompanist for several years toward the end of his life. It's not quite a full biography of Heifetz, but it's an outstanding book by a woman who was very close with him near the end of his life. There's quite a few good stories about him as a teacher and as a friend. I highly recommend it.
What's wrong with the sound? This video and the second video in this series, the audio has been tampered with. Is there anywhere else I can find these videos?
Myself and a few friends at Facebook Violinists are wondering why some of the films seems to be edited, and how to get the unedited version. Any ideas?
The audio is distorted by too much amplification and full of noise. Audacity is a free software with a good noise reduction and clip fix plugins, and software amplification. Please consider to use it to improve the audio quality.
Criminal. He had no idea about violin playing. Specially his right hand was ALWAYS catastrophic. He could not play things that an average orchestra player can play easily.
Lol at comments on posture and balance... what a Jew with the blatant Kabbalah references; FYI everyone, this stuff isn't important only when playing Violin, but ALL THE TIME.
Terrible series of masterclass far too over complicated and fragmented in delivery When you teach the student should focus on the music focus on producing the best sound the teachers job is to intervene when a technical roadblock prevents this goal. Teaching techincal alone is futile
This series of videos is nothing short of a Godsend. It saved my technique.

Hm, who would have thought yoga would be so important to playing the violin xD
XD
Funny, I did a lot of this already intuitively
I get extremely nervous around people that are awesome.
See, since long time ago he already knew the benefit of yoga ;-). He's really good at his age.
