For those who despise the YT shorts format with an upmost passion, on desktop, change "shorts" in the URL to "watch" and it will play like a normal video. You can move the slider to rewind, pause, and actually see all the channel's videos not limited to shorts

For me it’s extremely buggy and disorientating. You watch a normal yt video then it becomes TikTok, doesn’t load the video properly and when you reload it it takes you to a random other short.
Our attention spans have gotten to the point where we now need shorts lol. Social media is creating a dumb zombiefied humanity, just wait until Metaverse takes off. People won't even go outside after that.
