not to glaze or anything but, this is the best nirvana fan boy page ever in the existence of the world and i always gain a smile when i see a notification saying nirvanaguitars has uploaded. the guitars and gear your getting are getting way better each month and every upload each week and how much effort you put in towards these videos are really showing eric and i think i can speak for anyone when i say we love your videos so much dude. but yk i hate glazers. ❤
Oh my god your kindness just made my day 😭 I will never be able to thank you enough for your support! Before my channel, I got made fun of all the time (both online and in person) for my taste in guitars. I was constantly called a poser, copycat, unoriginal. So to now be part of a community that not only understands but is just as passionate about these guitars has been extremely validating and rewarding ❤️
@@NirvanaGuitars Did the accusers *ever* define to you what "not being a poseur" meant in their minds? I'd think they have their influences too. Did they just think you were an imitator without substance to back up your guitar taste? You're into explaining much with great detail where others may give it a go, yet gloss over it without as much great scrutiny, and so they might get some parts wrong. I know similar, I've written guitar tabs for about half of the songs from the first two B-52s albums (the self-titled debut from 1979, and Wild Planet from 1980.) I ended up being the first guy to attempt publishing a tab that tabbed the last 2 minutes of Rock Lobster in the correct tuning, weird string gauges and all, in 2018 (though I had the lower strings wrong and wildly thick before Ricky's Tech explained the right string gauges.) Nobody else was doing it, surprisingly. But it's also not too hard to see why since Ricky's approach was really odd with omitted string tunings, and he never put out a tab book that I ever heard of. (He died of AIDS in 1985.) Is there some chance that one or both of your parents have a great eye for detail, and so they also focus or stress over the little details that make the difference? My Mother's like that, and she was making wedding dresses for years when I was a kid. I think I get this from her. I'm sure she gets the idea that Larry Kosilla does with his work in car detailing. And Larry's the guy getting work with million+ dollar one of a kind Porsches, so who's on target here? Not the keyboard warriors who think he's overdoing it with his long and slow processes when they're trying to suggest using more damaging ways of detailing a car that would be OK on a 10 year old Ford or Chevrolet, but has no business existing with detailing a one of a kind car. Like there he is suggesting to use one section of a microfiber towel just once and then not re-use it, and they're whining about it. If it was their *Ford,* then it would be fine. But go the extra miles for the much higher dollar jobs, that's what you're paid for if you're a professional, and it's something the complainers somehow didn't realize. I also happen to watch episodes of a TV Show called "Time Team." While it's about archaeology and many of the episodes show locations of villages or other buildings that are thousands of years old, it does go to show that in some cases, things just get buried and forgotten about for great lengths of time and nobody's looking. What a surprising world when you think about it applied to music.
i saw the thumbnail and i was like "this cant be" i mean like, what guitars from kurt do you not have!? this is amazing! keep it up, lover your content and love your white strats, still very eatable, thanks.
did you know that kurt once had a strat with black humbucker bridge and mid-neck stock single coil and use tune o matic? i guess it will be a great new project of your Kurt's guitar collection! cuz a strat with a tune o matic bridge is very rarely to seen!🤯
@@NirvanaGuitars Seems a bit funny that it's about on time with when I got another T-style guitar myself (albeit a JBP brand take of one) on May 17th from FB Marketplace...
I think I remember asking you about recreating this tone about a year ago on reddit when you were finding parts for the martin, its amazing to finally see it!
100% faithful to the source as always. You do a fantastic job at this. You're an actual historian. I hate hearing Come As You Are through a Tele and I hate this tone and this is my least favourite of Kurts guitars but that is personal preference. You've nailed it once again.
@@NirvanaGuitars Thanks for reply. Its a pretty gorgeous guitar and it sounds lovely. Id love if u checked my channel out as well. I'm 14 and trying to make it!
I’d love to see some videos exploring other gear that can get you close to nirvana tone. Such as the Sea Machine chorus that gets you close to the polychorus when you push it.
I was at that show, in the centre of the front row. (Same venue I saw the Sex Pistols on their Filthy Lucre Tour). Never expected this, thanks, very cool.
It’s crazy this guitar solo tone matches the one on Nevermind! But Kurt didn’t have a tele at the point, and the rest of the humbucking guitars I heard this being used certainly lacked that twang in the solo.
I would give anything to have a replica of the Jesus mustang pickguard that Kurt used at the Kennel Club in San Francisco. I really love Kurt's homemade guitars.
My 1 sub only counts for one... And (not as if you were implying it, but since it comes to mind) I don't want to inflate his numbers with lying bot accounts. Consider it a compliment, Eric doesn't need bot accounts inflating his subscriber base, it's an insult to how good his videos are.
I’ve always loved khristore’s replicas but I just sadly don’t have the cash to afford them normally nor shipping sadly, one day though, one day I’ll have one.
I'm so behind on my messages I'm sorry I haven't seen it yet 😩 I always appreciate when you share your research and insight with me!! But yes, gonna keep it in Pacific Rim form 😃 I already have 2 hot rail guitars, plus the cleans on this Tele are absolutely fantastic!
@@NirvanaGuitars Mustang singles either work really well or don't work well at all. I've read that those 90s FujiGen ones were especially hit-or-miss. I was speculating with someone that Kurt's Comp might've actually had those overly thick wires that led to that strange sound it had. I suspect that's why he almost always had both pickups on.
There is a lot of guitars Kurt played and are barely talked about, either because its from his early shows or because he barely played them before smashing them, its nice yo see one of them recreated
I wasn't expecting to see this guitar and I love it, great cover as always. It would be awesome seeing your recreation of the Pennyroyal Tea performances from 1991. Perfomances like O.K. Hotel in Seattle, Astoria Theatre (London), Cabaret Metro (Chicago), Opera House in Toronto. I really like the slower tempo in the song, gives a more intense feeling to it, I don't know.

The Telecaster that appear in the Come As You Are music video itself...
@404TVfr yeah. At the background when Kurt was swinging with the chandelier
@404TVfrin the original colour, not in blue colour.
Dont expected this guitar to appear in your videos, it will be interesting to know more about this one! Great cover as always!

Me too!! He is truly the best at what he does 🤩
Protect that guy at all costs!
Waiting their collaboration again in reviewing Khristore’s Martin D-18E Inspired by Kurt Cobain. That will be awesome!
Didnt even know kurt played a telecaster. Amazing video as always
It feels criminal to be this early, Amazing as always Eric!
Also I love the
Thank you for being here early and for the kind words!
this Telecaster is my favorite guitar that Kurt used
Awesome telecaster tone!
Most expressive Nirvana's song.
did you know that kurt once had a strat with black humbucker bridge and mid-neck stock single coil and use tune o matic? i guess it will be a great new project of your Kurt's guitar collection! cuz a strat with a tune o matic bridge is very rarely to seen!🤯
LETS GOO YOU FINALLY DID IT thank you
Wow that's amazing man!!
Thank you!
Wow! This is my favorite tele!
DUDE YOU JUST NEVER STOP SURPRISING ME! This is the first time seeing you play a Telecaster. This is just insane!
Got more surprises in store 😉

Amazing dude I love all of your tones
This is spot on. You are my favorite UA-camr
That’s an honor 🥹 thank you for watching!
Words cannot explain how much I love your content.
Words cannot express how much that means to me 😭 thank you! 🙏🏻
Glad to see someone keeping the spirit of one of Kurt's more obscure guitars, that being the Courtney Heart Telecaster!
From Spain, you are the best man!!!!!! SIEMPRE NIRVANA
Awesome Video!!!
I asked about this guitar twice on your other videos but never got a response. Glad to see it!
100% faithful to the source as always. You do a fantastic job at this. You're an actual historian. I hate hearing Come As You Are through a Tele and I hate this tone and this is my least favourite of Kurts guitars but that is personal preference. You've nailed it once again.
Awesome as always, man, definitely looking forward to learning more about the guitar coming up
This is amazing man!

@@NirvanaGuitars Yeah thanks I’m all up to date, seen the instagram story!
i've been waiting for his telecaster
Oh my god they have it!
I’d love to see some videos exploring other gear that can get you close to nirvana tone. Such as the Sea Machine chorus that gets you close to the polychorus when you push it.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll need to look into that pedal!

Amazing!
Amazing!)❤
I was at that show, in the centre of the front row.
(Same venue I saw the Sex Pistols on their Filthy Lucre Tour).
Never expected this, thanks, very cool.
SUPER!!!
love the courtney tele, but im also a big fan of Hole and Courtney. pretty cool you made a replica
DS2 in mode 2? 🤯
Sounds awesome!
I hope you bring all the guitars that Kurt used
It’s crazy this guitar solo tone matches the one on Nevermind! But Kurt didn’t have a tele at the point, and the rest of the humbucking guitars I heard this being used certainly lacked that twang in the solo.
Excelente me alegro de este canal 🎉🎉
I would give anything to have a replica of the Jesus mustang pickguard that Kurt used at the Kennel Club in San Francisco. I really love Kurt's homemade guitars.
I just got my first stray gonna mod it to 1992 sunburst strat but a great vid ❤
Congratulations!! 👏
@@NirvanaGuitars thanks (getting my first pedal soon too I don’t know if I want a ds-1 or small clone
Come on guys, let’s get Eric to 100k subs.
My 1 sub only counts for one... And (not as if you were implying it, but since it comes to mind) I don't want to inflate his numbers with lying bot accounts. Consider it a compliment, Eric doesn't need bot accounts inflating his subscriber base, it's an insult to how good his videos are.
Finally the tele
i love how muddy it sounds
That's when you get when you get a DS-2 going through a tele single coil haha!
We wait for RIO 1993 LIVE!
Still in the works, along with a lot of other fun things!
Wish I was alive when Kurt was around
It would be cool if you also did some of Krist Noveselics live bass tones
NO WAYY the courtny tele!!!
I’ve always loved khristore’s replicas but I just sadly don’t have the cash to afford them normally nor shipping sadly, one day though, one day I’ll have one.
Great video brother! Know you have this Tele but would love to hear a what if time video on Kurdts 1994 Tele that Earnie worked on
Kurt's original Tele was a christmas present from Courtney. She was pissed at him when he smashed it in Sau Paulo.
Nirvana were like the Doors. Either the greatest show you seen or a trainwreck.
the tele with chorus makes it sound like something off of the first smiths album
How your tones are always spot on is an amazing feat to see!!
Thank you so so much! 🙏
Never knew Kurt ever played a Telecaster
Love your channel, have a question. How did Kurt boost his solos? Was it done at the booth?
I'm shocked how good this song sounds when played on a single coil guitar like that Tele
Teles are proof that simplicity is the best solution
Yes!!! I actually info dumped in your DMs about this one, are you gonna keep it in it's Pacific Rim form? Hope you do, it's awesome!
@@NirvanaGuitars I can tell! Glad you're keeping at least ONE true single coil in your arsenal.
@@pennsy77 LOL same honestly 😅 Really wasn't a fan of my comp's single coil, but this one is a completely different story
Surprised to see you using a ds-2 on mode 2
These are Harley Benton pickups, not actual Fender pickups like Kurt's tele had. Had to adjust accordingly!
Please do a video about the story of this guitar. I think it’s ours least known guitar
what's the tone settings? i have a telecaster but its not a old sunburst one, just like either a 2000's tele or 1990's tele
There is a lot of guitars Kurt played and are barely talked about, either because its from his early shows or because he barely played them before smashing them, its nice yo see one of them recreated
this so weird cause i literally asked for the courtney love telecaster video

You should try and look into the les paul guitar kurt had
Could you do a drain you or in bloom tone recreation?
Let me guess a nother guitar history video is coming
Great! Ive always had a doubt about your pedal chain order. Do you always put chorus first?
Good guitar🙂
Can you use headphones on the tone master twin reverb?
This is the closest thing I’ve ever heard to this tour!
How come you used the turbo mode on the ds2 what made you do it?
Thank you! These are Harley Benton pickups, not actual Fender pickups like Kurt's tele had. Had to adjust accordingly
Huh, never knew it had those stickers
I had no idea Kurt even played a tele!
he only used a tele a handful of times. then i think he smashed it at a show and just kept up with the mustangs and jaguar
I’m here bcz of instagram
Telecaster sounds good for come as you are
When I see the Courtney Tele, all I can think about is this specific version of Come As You Are!
Top, i you fan
How much did that tele cost with the mods on it
