It's my favorite game in the world. I played LoL PC so much with all my 12+ real life friends from 2011-2015 and it made me fall in love with LoL, MOBAS, the champions, the lore, the skins, everything LoL.

5:37 no, no, no. The golden maiden was the figurehead of the Aureate Savant, Master Tyrus' ship, not the Daggerhawk, which belonged to Vennix and Camavor. Why would Soraka tell Kalista to seek out the ship that she used to get to the serpent isles in the first place?
firstly that and secondly if that was the Daggerhawk they wouldn't get through the mist without the knowledge of someone from the Blessed Isles
Yeah Necrit sadly missed this detail, they saved that ship from getting raided and then Tyrus led them to the isles, important plot point 😅

damn Kalista was warned by a celestial being on what would most likely happen if she completed her promise, and she still did it anyway. I dont know if she was over confident in defying fate or just stupidly optimistic, at the very least she was determined to see things through. For better and for worse.
Kalista was a person extremely committed to her duty and obligations, in fact that's why she steps back when Ledros declares his love for her, even though she also had feelings towards him. It's not hard to imagine that for Kalista, anything that Soraka was trying to warn her about couldn't be worse than a life lived in dishonor, even if she would find happiness after all. She was always willing to give up her happiness and life in favor of her duty.

Is she saw the literal aftermath of what she her decision costed the world, she would have impaled Hercarim and Viego and peaced out. Living with dishonor sucks, but being the person responsible for leading the spoiled Brat Viego to commit genocide on the Blessed Isles for saying no to bring back dead wife and created the hell that’s the shadow Isles which also terrorizes the world long after sucks worse IMO
@@Vaquita_Vibes I may be wrong since I didn't read the book but I don't think Kalista got all of these informations from Soraka. It seems to me that Soraka only warned her about the darkness that would unveil if she kept on this way, not that it would wipe out all the people from the Blessed Isles, releasing a tainted curse all over the world, turning all of them into twisted undead monsters and leading to the fall of Camavor as an empire. I'm quite sure that if she had such rich details about the outcomes of her journey she would do it otherwise.
@@mrpanda9164 no, I’m saying that if she did know with hindsight. She only got vague prophesy stuff from Soraka. Like if she did know exactly what would happen, she would just call it quits and go home.
Even in undeath, Kalista is defined by her vows, her promises. She is a person for whom a promise or an oath seems to take on a spiritual aspect that defies logic. For her, if her honor bound her to that course, then that's her destiny, and she'd see it one. It makes her very much like the heroes of ancient Greek myths on whom her very Hoplite (heheh. Hoplite. Hop. Lite. Cuz she hops) design is modeled.
The Audio book of Ruination is probably one of the best audio books I've listen to, I highly recommend it!

They made TB Skyen canon too in the LoR
If pc players just want to experience the lore that wildrift is getting then they should just download wildrift in their phones just for that, they don't need to make wildrift their main game. Downloading wildrift is not that hard.
Don't have a phone that runs WR nor do I have the need to get a phone just to run WR on. It costs Riot one tab in the current client to just include this for PC audiences.
I did exactly that, found out that I have to play games to get the comics and now im debating what to do cause I have a small phone that gets very hot playing wild rift

I think the promise Soraka mentions is the promise she made to the Lion of camavor to protect viego.

Added in more context to the Blessed/Shadow Isles makes ruination little better through this is just the start of the Shadow Isles lore. Hoping we see more Shadow Isle Lore in the Future.
The Ruination event isn't really canon anyway unless Riot confirm it is, everything that happened before that announcement in october last year is at most based on canon
Someone else has probably already said this, but the ship with the golden maiden/lady that took her into Helia the first time was the ship of Tyrus and Ryze

Just one detail the boat is not the dagerhawk the one with the golden maiden is Tirus and Rizes ship so this is probably the first time she enters through the mist
it is, the first chapters of events were talking about them trying to pass throught the mist

Isn't the golden maiden decoration on the ship a mistake?
Golden maiden was the decoration of the Aureate Savant, the ship that Tyrus and Ryze were swimming on when they were saved on the see by Kalista. The sails of the ship in the cinematic also look like they have a blessed isles related design.
The book however mentions that after returning to Camavor and deciding that she's going to take Viego to the Blessed Isles Kalista sailed there on Daggerhawk. Meaning the ship in the cinematic should be Daggerhawk not the Aureate Savant with the golden maiden statue.
Also 6:23, I'm pretty sure that Soraka meant the promise Kalista made to her Grandfather, the old King that she's going to look over Viego and Camavor.
Also, also, that could be what happened, it's the moment that Isolde's ghost dropped sanctity after she killed viego, I'm pretty sure the book does point out the moment that the blade drops to the ground.
Not a reader, but the LoL lore always caught my interest. The book is great, if any other nonreaders out there considering it

I think that because they're cutting some budget off the LoR, they move the lore stuff to wildrift.
I may be naïve, but I think we get Kalista redeemed some day. Not necessarily alive, but transcended as some sort of a guardian spirit

Soraka isn't omnipotent, so she can only do what she thinks she can do on the said situation. It is not simple to just go and help others. If she already foresaw the fate of kalista and others, what did you think would happen next? Does it assure that the said prophecy won't happen if she ever did help? Or does it assure her safety?

From what im hearing it seems that soraka foresaw Kalistas future individually maybe not of everything around here, so maybe she foresaw Kalista falling to shadows but not the whole other elephant in the room called ruination

There is, i play WR, they always change the menu hub splash art when there's a huge event.
There right now, A splash art of viego sitting in a throne, and beside him is Kalista and then in far corner, there is Human thresh throwing his lantern foreshadowing his later transformation into the Chain Warden.

I really hope that the League of Legends MMORPG will have a campaign mode, same as the old RTS games like Warcraft or Starcraft, where you can choose a playable character like one from Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, etc.

While I'm a pc player I will be for sure installing wild rift to play this mode.
This game is heavy in specs, make sure your phone has the requirements, and if you're not cozy with a small screen, I suggest to play it on tablet/ipad.

I think Riot is missing a great opportunity for cool content. We know so little about the history of the Viego Kalista Tresth Hekarim in their living human form. That is, I think it would be cool to put the whole story together. Don't learn everything piece by piece. Either in an event on PC or on a mobile game. I would like to understand from beginning to end how and why it happened. And how the heroes reacted to the decisions of the same Viego.

So i realized that while listenin to one of the KD/A songs that i belive its Akali that say "i have all the boys on me" and end the song with "this is just a flex". Clearly she's taking notes from Evelynn, that or Evelynn is teaching her "how things work" and "how to do stuff". And i dont really know why Evelynn's near Akali almost all the time. And why do Akali get to know Evelynn secrets and we dont? Realized that while watching an old KD/A interview where Evelynn sed "thats a secret darling".
wild rift getting all this constant cool mode and events meanwhile on PC it's "here's a battle pass...oh yeah we nerfed the rewards track again" and when we say something about it riot goes "we hear your feedback and will be sure to totally 100% implement it in the future"

Kindred isn't someone that manages people fate as I remember. Kindred's job is to send the souls of the living to its final place, either in a peaceful way of the lamb, or the last stand against the wolf.
And If I am correct idk, but they are not technically dead so kindred isn't obligated to do anything here. (To lore people pls help explain/correct me and this man)
Additionally kindred, if I remember correctly is usually treated by the living as a fairy tale about death or something, where if you accept your death you'll see an arrow of the lamb take you out peacefully or be hunted by the wolf for trying to deny death.
@@khurts08 Slight correction: you're correct about Kindred not being able to act because they're not dead. But. The Kindred isn't treated as a fairy tale or a legend by everyone, because it depends on the local culture.
(Example: Tryndamere's tribe prided themselves on the fact that they intended to fight The Wolf when they died).
Also there are many types of Kindred, The Lamb and The Wolf are just the most "famous" in Runeterra and thus the most powerful and "diffused", so they can act almost everywhere

Correction, that is not Venix’s ship. It was Tyrus’ ship, as foretold by Soraka, “you will be led by a golden maiden”. The bow of the ship has a golden maiden statue.
I already finished reading the 1st out of 3 chapter lore on wildrift and i can say that the story itself is really good. Im just waiting for the other two and the pve game mode. I hope necrit create a video for the complete wildrift comics and pve of ruination. I read sentinel of light comics and it just doesn't make sense to me 😂
I wholeheartedly hope they update Kalista's level up animation in LoR during this event. It's one of the most lacking level up animations in the game. I know there's no reason or gain from doing that but one can dream.

Technically you don't need to miss it. Just download Wild Rift and then delete the app after the event is done. Also if you need a bigger screen, just use a tablet or iPad (if you have one). Anyway it's a free game so there no excuse not to play it. Unless you have a bad phone or no storage, then I understand and I'm sorry for you.

@@Adonna2424I'm league pc players since 2016, when I got busy with my work irl, I migrated to wr just to play it in break time bcs is a fast paced game.. and surprisingly, this game has a lot better graphics, animation, effects than pc..
I suggest you try it urself and experience the massive difference between those games, unless you have a bad device I can understand n sorry for you.

For the record, I tried to play Wild Rift on my phone but it kept disconnecting and I felt like a bastard for repeatedly ruining games because I couldn't rejoin or stay in for a single full game.

wild rift just had an event during kindred release. how accurate is that kindred is a wisp and not god/demon? i am really really dumbfounded when the answers were revealed.
and riot also revealed that the Kindred is currently on Shadow Isles and not in the Freljord which is kinda not consistent with the recent cinematic where the present was in Freljord.
