Basically, I sort by condition and type. Junk or damaged buttons get recycled or used for projects. The others are sorted by type, then by what I keep vs. sharing with others. Please stay in touch. ✨🙃✨

I am thinking of making Christmas tree ordinates out of buttonsI have is it bad to remove them from the cards.
That's an EXCELLENT idea ❗❗❗There are a few ways you can do it. One is to stack the Buttons into tree shapes 🎄 or stack into funky shapes using buttons that are traditional holiday colors or your color scheme. Make sure you can add or leave a loop to the top so that they can hang off a branch or you can add a hook. If the buttons are on cards add an ornament hook or string to the hole on the card (or hole punch one if needed) so that you don't have to damage the cards and can keep the buttons intact. If the hole on the card is delicate due to age add notebook paper hole circles (remember those) to strengthen the hole before adding string or a hook.
