While I cannot make up my mind which medium to track what I need to do, one thing I really benefit from is audio reminders on my phone or digital calendar. Otherwise, I get so deep into my work tasks or going about my most basic daily activities, that I just forget to check my to do list, whether short term or longer term. Basically reminders for me are alarms, as they are important items I don't want to lose track of. I guess I'm easily distracted so need this. Wish I were more organized like you! Maybe I'll look into Notion, or Trella you mentioned.
Hi Julia! Thanks so much, very helpful. Wasn’t aware of trelo and your real world use of it is really encouraging for experimentation, especially with stickies- great combination. Also, the 2 to 3 hour timing seems completely appropriate and functional in an, almost embarrassingly obvious way- embarrassingly because those are highly functional times for me as well and even though I’m very well “seasoned” enough to recognize this in myself-it never occurred to me to actually schedule myself in that way… maybe because much of life seems to be scheduled in 30 minutes or one hour intervals… so thanks…appreciate that motivation. Thanks for what you do!
Yay thank you for this, Julia! Your tips are very helpful ❤️ I also have a to-do list in an app, notebook, and sticky note to keep track of everything 'cause as much as I want to lessen my paper consumption, it still feels different to write and tick off tasks in an actual paper. I also set an alarm on my phone just to make sure that I'll show up. Have a great weekend! ❤️
It’s my favorite sticker of all time! I also was that person in group projects back in college that always committed to master and forced my changes so the sticker really relates to me on a personal level 🥲
Hey Julia! I loved the tips, especially the part about finding interest/passion in the things you're doing! How did you come to work for the non-profit you are a part of?
Thank you! 💗 it started off as a small project that I was helping my friend with and over the past year, it just grew exponentially into an entire org! Would be more than happy to talk about it in another video if that’s a topic of interest 😊
