How can a restaurant be allowed to operate without a bathroom?!
Asking the most important questions.
Is this a murica thing?
This is EXTREMELY rare... what a nightmare. That trailer park mum has seen many folks urinate on that shack by the no-bathroom cafe.
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial I think it was grandfathered in with no bathroom, no way it would be allowed with new construction.
well i wasn't impressed by the nose ring, was just being honest it. i don't hate his channel by any stretch, just gave my two cents about the face decoration. i dont think he needs it, he already has a winning personality without it. his show is very informative and well done.
just fyi i deleted message a few seconds after i posted it. i rethought it, but didn't get it down in time before you saw it. if you need a hug or someone to wipe your gentile tears away, don't be afraid to ask.
"There's an incredible softness going on here that I don't fully understand, but I'll be looking into further" - Scott the Miniature Maniac. Great video, thanks for the memories, see ya next time! :-)
Is he talking about your hair, goobs?
Adepticon was definitely one of the happiest cons I've been to. It was so great to meet so many of my content creator heroes (who happen to be friends in some cases), but the camaraderie was palpable. Love ya, Scott.
😂 😂 😂 what a great time!
What a site that is too, I may or may not lose significant portions of my life combing through that site... 😅
Great video, Scott! Being around so many people who felt as passionate about the hobby as I am was a great experience. I had a ton of fun and met some awesome people. And yes, Robin's GD entries were shockingly good.
Congratulations man! You’re a legend, really incredible job
Allday "Goat" Gavin himself
The con was a blast and it was an absolute pleasure getting to hang out with you guys. You're not wrong about Eric either, dude had enough snacks in the hotel room to feed a small family for a month.
😏
Never have I met someone who was so aware of where the nearest vending machine was. It was the best thing ever, Eric.
I love the fact that Vince straight up just wears the apron even when he's not painting.
It has the same vibes of baker forgetting to take the hat off when he goes to the pub.
Nice to meet you on the Sunday Scott. Made the 32 hour trip home to New Zealand last Wednesday. The highlight of Adepticon to me was the Golden Demon competition. My wife and daughter in law (neither of them hobbyists) spent hours looking at the entries. I think they finally understood the enjoyment my son and I get from the hobby.
Well done again on the success of the Kickstarter. Looking forward to a Miniac Brush Coffin here in Godzone
It's so cool to see the painting community is strong at Adepticon! I have only seen the gaming side of things, I follow lots of competitive 40k content creators, and the tournament is the only thing that I have heard of. But the community and the experience of the painting side seems awesome too! Thanks for a fun video!
I wish they would have something like that closer to home. I miss the days when we would have Games Day each year in Baltimore Maryland with it's own associated Golden Demon comp. Looks like you had mad fun.
First and only thought: huh.... That's a lot of dudes. 😮💨
Awesome video man! Super sick seeing ya there and watching ya paint part of that Thundetusk! Our friend Zach actually won the raffle at the end for it!! Super sick to have it amongst our friend group. You the best man!
with both you and Jon into Infinity I would love to see you both do a paint job on one of Corvus Belli's intricate minis or a Kill Your Friend videos
YESSSS!! Make this happen!
Very entertaining, thanks for sharing Scott! Can't wait for making the pilgrimage from Australia
3:56 that gentleman in the grey top : " hahaha yeah ..... now give it back "
Wow, it looks like you guys had tons of fun!
Was such a blast, can't wait for next year! Also, the ending was so wholesome. What are these warm and fuzzy feelings?
Great Production!!!!
That was wonderful, Scott! Thanks for taking those of us who couldn't make it along for the ride!
I actually really appreciate your honesty, rather than unnecessarily inane positivity you say it as it is - I appreciate the humanity as it reminds us it's not all about forced smiles. Sometimes it just sucks to lose or to mess up a project, and the psychological reality isn't all benign and positive, which often seems to be the social expectation placed on us to somehow discuss the negative shizzle without any negativity at all... 😊
I need to make the trip across the pond for this one day.
I liked the vibe of this video. You're creating great content, Scott. Keep it up because I like being a part of this community.
As far as decals, I use a ton of them. My freehand largely sucks, so they're a great way to add details. Especially to tanks and Knights. Waterslides go on smoothly if applied over a wet, gloss clear. It gives you more time to position and get air bubbles out. Top off with a coat or two more. Once it's totally dry, beat them up a little. Scrape them with a file, sand bits thinner, anything to weather them into the paint job.
Nice video! I've been wanting to go to adepticon for a while and it looks like great fun!
@Miniac Dude, what's the song you used for right when you arrived at the convention? I hvae to get that bluesy rock guitar song.
Your videography skills are on point good sir, and as someone who hadn't been able to attend a con since getting into the hobby, this really makes me look forward to making the trip next year 😁
I felt the emotion in the GD portion of this one. I can relate in that I didnt finish my GD entry in time, so I just tossed in anything I had laying around, knowing I didnt have a snowballs' chance in hell of getting anything. It felt really cool to enjoy my friends success but I couldnt help but feel like I also let myself down. That was short lived though, as I redeemed myself with a Resin Beast ^.^
always love your stuff Scott. Dont ever stop making videos like this, please.
been looking into that contrast thing too recently.
You want your desaturated colors to play with each other, a cold yellow and a warm yellow will look good in the shadows. Those cold yellows will contrast and appear blue, while they other yellows warm. Then you present a cold desaturated blue and a yellow at the center of your piece. the cold yellows will harmonize with the blue, so the attention doesn't focus in on the blue being the only cold color. This can also be applied to just general lighting and what not.
I'll get back to you when I actually understand what I'm talking about.
Golden demon judging must be super stressful. I don't know how they choose out of such amazing entries!
Great video. What kind of wolfs head statue is that in the back? I need to pick one up.
I want to go there at some time in my life. A bit hard from Germany…
Hard, but not impossible ;)
Wonderful video. This is a great community
Awesome video! I love hearing the stories about the adventure. I've been painting for over a year now, and I'm not huge into warhammer, would I have fun at Adepticon? I've been to Gencon and other gaming conventions, but with this having a war gaming focus, I don't know what I'd do besides taking mini painting classes.
Man, this would be the dream! Road trip to an epic convention with homies who also paint!
Scott, are you going to Reapercon in September? It’s in Denton, TX. We have lots of chicken tender options down here.
that was super entertaining!!!! thx for the vid!!!!
Sly 'Kids in the Hall' reference and some deep reflections from Scott.
7:35 i know a Kids in the Hall reference when i see it
Great recap.
hell YES I love road trip vlogs coming from my favourite funny youtubers who usually dont do this kinda content, throw in some hobby nerd stuff and Im sold!
@Miniac Hey editor, how long did it take you to do the slide transition at 10:42? good job
about 5 minutes or so of masking
The return to Adepticon was almost everything I was hoping it would be. My major complaint was there wasn't enough time to hang out with everyone I wanted to. Great video Scott, until next we meet!!
Damn, one two second shot through the vendor hall and you show me the stand I want to visit soooo bad Impact! Miniatures (4:07)
Well, we had the live podcast, Uncle Atom has put out 2 or 3 videos about Adepticon, Jon dropped his video last week... I knew Scott would get around to putting something out eventually :P
Fort Wappel! Jim is the Bob Ross of mini painting.
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Wow the Marine at 10:51 is one of the best i have ever seen....
Gosh, how I got the happy feels
What's the game that Jon is playing with the pink portals and fantasy looking models?
Rivenstone, I believe!
Nice transition at 10:43
Awesome video! It would kill, KILL if it was 60fps!
Wooo I see Rivenstone!
Brother we've never met, but I wanna thank you and Grandfather Nurgle. Without your vids and Nurgles blessings I never would have pulled the trigger on this amazing hobby. THANK YOU SCOTT,.....and Nurgle lol
Can anybody tell me which models these are at 7:45?
hahaha the sword lift fail was amazing
What are the models at 12:42?
I loved the wood elf minis and the vrush coffin but. I'm dead broke right now. Is there any chance you'll accept late pledges?
I will be!
@@Miniac Awesome!!!
Miniac, Ninjon, Gobbertown, Ebay Miniature Rescues, LylaMev... this is like the Avengers coming together!!! where are Midwinter and Squidmar???
"Jesus take the wheel!" .. Miniac 2022 :D :D
Scott! Adepticon!! Montage!!! YEA!!!! :)
this volume is all over the place
I wish I could of been there
Nice montage music. Rock on sir.
Not enough people talk about the fact that Siocast is also reusable. Off-cuts and sprue junk can be ground up and melted down again to be reused in the next batch. Keeps a lot of scrap plastic out of the landfill, and is a good step towards a more sustainable hobby.
Good boy Mr Miniac!
I kept on thinking you were saying "Hella Fresh" in the sponsor.
wait... wait...wait...isnt that boy in 4:01 Sam from this PlayOnTabletop batrep?
Great vídeo as always! Guys, what was the game at 3:40?
Minnesota?! Sick! Lol Fellow Minnesotan, very nice.
How much do you charge for painting modles round about
I wish I had been able to go! I hope I can next year. Will you be going to TMX?
What is TMX?
@@Miniac Uncle Atoms con, the tabletop minions expo in Oshkosh!
I uh... I hope you didn't get a hernia with that hammer, Scott. Glad to see you all had fun.
If Scott says Guild Ball is coming back it must be true!
Listening to this on the podcast I REALLY THOUGHT THE SHED WOULD BE SECLUDED.
That is hella open and one ballsy public pee. Kudos.
Whats the name of the game at 4:40? Purple ruler and crystal scenery 🙃
We suffer through the Minnesota March/April surprise blizzards in exchange for no venomous native snakes or spiders. It's a fair trade-off.
Dude that vest tho 😩👌
How much is one of those SIOForm 1?
60-80K
Hahaha im in this video standing in line!!!
wait was that danny the 3dprinting dm
Hey Scott! About the decals: Guy (MM) speaks about these Microsol and Microset liquids that are apparently quite great. You might have spoken to him about it already, but if not, here's a link to exactly where he does: ua-cam.com/video/KNVznWghFWU/v-deo.html Might not be what you were getting at talking about painting them but... Well, could be of interest I suppose. 🙂👍
I had a ton of fun, can’t wait for the next one!
The best dice to use?
Well with my luck, the answer is simple...
Fixed ones lol
One day I'll have enough money to book a flight to murica and go to adeptcon, and meet this legends of UA-cam
*_That machine is gunna take years to pay off._*
God I haven't seen kids in the hall in years
Lmao Sam Lenz making lewd gestures at GD!!!
Was that a quick shot of Mrs. Miniac eating during the Hello Fresh ad?
To be honest, I always kind of figured Scott was making her up in his imagination.
that was a figment of your imagination
yeeeeee
Whoo! I made it into the B-roll! 😂
Hello Fresh! If anyone is thinking about getting it DO! My husband in the 15 years together has cooked maybe 10 times, other than using the grill. For Christmas I decided to try Hello Fresh for a few weeks, we are still doing it and we are cooking together the meals now, he loves to chop the veggies. It has brought us closer together and we are eating more veggies, he has learned to cook, and is eating more things he normally wouldnt!
Why in the world would you stop in Mauston??? Either stop in Tomah or push on to the Dells... thank the maker the banjos didn't start playing!
People have probably already asked you about this Scott, but how do you feel about new Morbius movie. Jared Leto seems to be getting the short end of the stick at both Marvel and DC now.
nice
@Miniac You have any ptsd from this lil guy? 😆 10:54
What a wonderful view of the event! I do hope that as a professional you will take occasionally time off from competition occasionally to continue to feel that joy. About your exit tag line, please get a voice effect module or an old vocalizer so you don’t end up in surgery and/or sounding like Marge Simpson. You are putting a lot of force to exude stomach and esophageal acids across a membrane more delicate than skin. I think the other boys and girls know you Can sound like that, and if anyone asks why you no longer do that a capella, tell them it’s the Future, man! Technology is there so you don’t end up sounding as scary as the original Skelator.
The ending bit is a recording largely so I'm keeping safe!
Interesting.....
All hail the UA-cam algorithm gods!
I'd like to suggest you change the title. It's not a Warhammer Convention. Not sure if that was intentional or a slip. It's so much more than GW, the biggest name in the industry.
ok i'll be the one guy who asks.... what kind of dog is that!?!
Neapolitan Mastiff
