with the Tocuyito Trio
HOW DOES VENEZUELA SOUND IN VIENNA?
This staged concert by Oorkaan and Jeunesse offers a special visual listening experience for the whole family. The Tocuyito Trio takes us on a colorful journey into the magical and fiery world of Venezuelan sounds and rhythms. "Cambur Pintón," which means "ripe banana" in Venezuelan, is a colorful and dancing journey with explosive rhythms and exotic soundscapes. Inspiration for this staged concert, is the rich Venezuelan culture and nature, with mysterious mountains and stories of magical creatures, which is expressed through the music. Cambur Pin-Tón is a new direction by Caecilia Thunnissen with piano trio Tocuyito Trio.
Theatrical elements, humor and the music make this performance appropriate for everyone from ages 6 to 106.
This international co-production of Jeunesse Austria and Oorkaan offers a whole new take on the classical piano trio. You won't want to miss it!
Joseph Avilia (pianist of the Tocuyito Trio) on the Jeunesse-Orange Academy: "For me, participating in the Jeunesse-Orange Academy was the perfect introduction to a world of creative possibilities in which I now feel at home. It broadened my professional outlook and gave me extra pleasure in making music."
