Underdog is the phrase that always on my mind when I was reading this arc, we all know for sure that Shiratorikawa was the top dog of Miyagi Prefecture, it was Shiratorikawa who beat Blue Castle (Aoba Johsai). Ushijima was frightening and was imitating player that had nasty southpaw spike, the freak duo of Karasuno was having a hard time to keep up with that veteran players of Shiratorkawa. Believe it or not, if Karasuno team was missing one of their original starters (excluded the freak duo) they could not make it, they would lost. I love how the characters developed and how they kept the storyline together, this is one of my fav arc, like ever, in Haikyuu or even in the whole manga/anime path. I also love the illustration where Karasuno all together fight against Ushijima, Ushijima's team was somehow competitive toward each other, in a good way, but a bit too intense for them to work smoothly together. It is reasonable for top dog to lose in a game, after all, there will be a better team.
