seriously tho I have a few things to say: -this edit is fire 🔥🔥🔥 -the chemistry between the actors is unbelievable, -as someone who read the book like 4 times and watched the movie as many times as I read the book, the actors captured Henry’s and Alex’s personality, looks and character perfectly. from the struggles of being the golden prince in a pretty stiff monarchy and finding out who you are.

Honestly, the book and movie of a generation. And the film is so respectful to the book too, it didn't try to be bigger, or smaller, it just delivered visuals which is goals.

I am here to comment again more coherently, bc I watch this video at least 5 times a day and I just have to make more points! First thing-the song choice is superb. I love ID, and Bad Liar just fits Henry's story PERFECTLY. And the way you matched lyrics with scenes? Superb. I love the colours, the fact that they are less saturated (Idk if it's a correct word, non-native speaker here!) matches the mood of the video so good. And lyrics on the screen are executed to perfection. Now, my absolutely fave parts are 1:49 - that "look me in the eyes" got me chills AND THEN 2:55, that kiss on the beat??? I keep rewatching since that moment over and over again, legit shook. And the ending is top-notch. So yes, a masterpiece. Definitely top of the tops of any fanvids I have ever seen. Probably up in the first place at the moment.
Is it bad if I say I also watch it five times a day because they've just been on my mind ever since the film came out. Like, it's very hard to consume ANY sort of media that's not RWRB because how can it ever live up to the moment that this was and continues to be. Bad liar has been stuck in my head for so long now as well!! I keep singing it around the house and then I watched the film and I was thinking what song should I edit on, because I had a few - and I took my time choosing it, and I also took my time until editing because I wanted to enjoy the moment fully, as I said in one of these comments here, I edited it for myself (maybe I expected a couple of views, but not to this extent, and definitely edited still for myself and my friends for the most part). I thought the song fits Henry soooo well as well! ID have some of the most beautiful lyrical songs out there, I swear. I have forever been a fan of pastel colorings and so on. It just makes everything so much warmer and fuzzier, and I kept the same coloring with a little variation for my second edit on Alex's POV as well because I just wanted them to be from the same story if that makes any sense!! I took such a long time deciding on where the scenes are going to go and so on! I'm not going to lie to you, when I first started the editing software and I was done with cutting up the song and marking the lyrics as closely as I possibly could, I found myself with the entirety of this movie in front of my face and I legit did not know what to do with almost 2h of gold, so it definitely took some time deciding what scenes to keep and what scenes to not keep and what scenes to keep for decor, and for expression, and ashhaahsdkasjda it was a process, that's for sure!! So thank you so much for such a heartfelt and detailed comment, I am a sucker on feedback and this is helping me tons knowing that you also seem to appreciate it!! Thank you so much for this comment and I'm glad you're enjoying this as much as I am!! It was definitely a process and it's almost 4 min long but it was worth every second spent editing it. I have to keep coming back to this because it is such a beautiful edit. I think it perfectly encapsulates the whole crux of the book, of the entire story, in lines sadly omitted from the film, that Henry puts in an email to Alex (P300 in my p/b edition) "...but the first time I saw you....I thought, this is the most incredible thing I have ever seen, and I had better keep it a safe distance away from me. I thought, if someone like that ever loved me, it would set me on fire. And then I was a careless fool, and I fell in love with you anyway. When you rang me at truly shocking hours of the night, I loved you. When you kissed me in disgusting public toilets and pouted in hotel bars, and made me happy in ways which it had never even occurred to me that a mangled up, locked-up person like me could be happy, I loved you. As a women that has watched this movie twice a day since it came out and read the book every single day, i have to say this is my favorite edit I've seen, and I believe I've seen them all. That's how obsessed I am with these characters. Well done!!
nah in the book Alex at the age of 12 used to sneak in June’s room and look at Henry’s picture on a magazine (he also stroked it if I’m not mistaken). he said that it gave him comfort as he seemed so comfortable around cameras and Alex was new to that life. (idk if it was included in the movie although I think not cuz June, Alex’s sister, is only seen in the book)

nah in the book Alex at the age of 12 used to sneak in June’s room and look at Henry’s picture on a magazine (he also stroked it if I’m not mistaken). he said that it gave him comfort as he seemed so comfortable around cameras and Alex was new to that life. (idk if it was included in the movie although I think not cuz June, Alex’s sister, is only seen in the book)
