In case you haven't been told these yet:
Small green/blue mushrooms scare away Hoglins
Sticks and wooden tools can be burned
If you bone meal regular netherrack near one of the biome netherrack variants, that causes it to spread
You can climb the blue vines!

it IS really dark
the nether is sometimes pretty dark without light, but if you are watching when it is not full screen, for some reason it makes the brightness really low.

You can deflect ghast(but not blaze) fireballs with melee attack. Need good timing, but with some training (and if game is not lagging) It's possible to kill them with their own fireballs if you have no bow.
Another fact, the green forest little flowers are fear to the big wide things you fought in the last episode (hoglins they are called)

Here two hacks for you (Smith): first thing you can use wood tools to burn that black gold or something. Second thing I think you can use gold tools to mine those gold blocks, but I'm not sure.

You can launch the fireball back at the ghast by hitting it with your hand and sometimes in the bastion chest there is netherite

@@yoboisteevie4643 but load slower. Swords have a higher dps. And axed lose 2 durability points when used to attack mobs.
