************One item I neglected to mention that was brought to my attention: The orientation of the receiver once installed. The IR receiver bulbs should be facing 12/3/6/9 o'clock positions and the flashing LEDs should be in the X pattern. Having the IR Receiver bulbs in the X pattern is considered illegal in the clubs and ends up blocking straight/side/rear shots at long distance. Oh and if you order your LegoDEI order with the circular pattern and not the cross. That might also lead to conflict with some clubs or create difficult hit situations.
Sorry about that I had a decent message giving you compliments about your video. And had mentioned I just purchased two units from legodei and was looking to purchase the converter for the IR emitter to 7.1 Heng Long MFU or be directed to where I could buy one but my message got cut off. I was looking to get a dozen of them if possible. Any help is much appreciated, and great information in your video well put together. Thanks sincerely SB
Many clubs don't use airsoft. Either due to liability or the fact that many modellers don't want their highly detailed tanks all shot up and damaged by BBs. 1/18 scale would be fine but the battle system must be compatible to Tamiya/Heng Long to engage with our club.
L11 only flashes on taking hits, but not when your tank is dead. Our club prefers LED3/4 for that reason. CN17 I have no experience with and our receivers aren't wired for such. The mod I outline is specific for the clubs in my area so it's not the only way to do it but it is how we've been doing it for the three or for clubs in this region 👍
Could this be compatible for Taigen v3 if: I attach the two pins for the LED to the "rear tail light" and the 3 pins receiver cable to the 5 pins (IR receiver + LED transmitter combined) on the board. Next to the 3 pin, I might could plug in the two pins transmitter LED. Did anyone try this or could tell, if that's possible? :)
You probably could. I'm not sure of the voltage running through the V3 system so if it's higher than what the HL LegoDEI can handle you could fry it. Clark board for example runs on a slightly higher voltage on the battle system and LegoDEI makes the apple for Heng Long and Clark which are identical but wired a little differently. Also the Taigen/Torro V3 with the little blue daughterboard can be switched to work with Heng Long signal, so if you figure out the pin arrangement I'm sure this will work!

The item I was referring to was seen on hobbysqwuak IR emitter convert to HL 7.1 adapter
I'm sorry what was your question?
hey mate can you show us how to replace the motors for a henglong tiger 2?
Changing the motors from the normal ones to the red 390s

Oh gotcha. If you're in the US, shoot me a private message on Hobbysquawk - www.hobbysquawk.com/privatemessage/new/20008
I hope this link works, otherwise find my account by the same name on that forum
I have not been able to get the ir 7.1HL to work with anything else. Not even sure if it will even work with another 7.1HL.
@@johnathanfarquhar1981 What do you mean the IR doesn't work with anything else. Are you battling an Heng Long 7.1 tank vs. a Torro or something?
I have elmod fusion eco, Can I order the LegoDEI V3 henglong version since I have the elmod battle unit adapter for Henglong (With CN15 and CN16)
Unsure, I'm not very well versed with Elmod. You'll have to ask LegoDEI maker, he's on Etsy.
What makes this better than the airsoft cannons? Also are Supdex 1/18 welcome?

why dont use cn17 or l11 that focus on ir function but led4?

@@RC.Senshado thank you for your detailed answer! I'll have a look at the voltage and try to make it run :)
