Doing this as well, thanks for the video. Since these fans have a hard on/off switch, I'm planning on using a smart plug with mine, leaving the fan setting on at whatever speed, and then I can turn it on and off with my phone or by voice with the echo dot in my garage. Just throwing that out there for anyone interested in the idea.

Great idea to turn it upside down. I am 6'11" so I totally forget about these sorts of things like putting it closer to the ground. I think I will turn my around too, so my wife can reach it now.
Perfect. This will be for my room in the desert. Got a ton of fans, but nothing that can hug a hepa filter and after a layout changeup, all previous space for it has disappeared. This is ideal. The dust is too real here, be nice to have a filtered fan again. Thanks for the video.

Yes. Just gravity. They run every day for 2 hrs to clear out my car's engine heat and they never come out. I tilt them all around too and they stay put
Thanks! Recently I added digital timers to both of the too. That way after we come home from work and the cars are hot the fans both kick on at the same time, run for 2 hrs then turn off. It really keeps the garage cooler

Yes Dan that what I do too. The timer just kicks in at low speed for 2 hrs a day in the summer from 5-7p

Great idea. I mounted my fans upside down so I could easily reach the speed knob.

2500 is the rating and yes it keeps them out for me.
