Hound yeah I don’t get the rocker trend. Even for beginners. I rode one and was getting frustrated with how much it washed out. I ride a pretty soft traditional camber. Only downside is I get bucked out sometimes if I speed check in chop.
Hey big fan my friend you are always being honest about the reviews. I have a question for you. I just bought the riders choice but my old boots and bindings are for beginner level so I need new boots and bindings. You said have ridden this board can you help me which are the best bindings and boots match for GNU riders choice?
I'm sure your boots/bindings are fine to ride with it. The world won't end when you go down a slope. That being said look into the Salomon District (bit.ly/344ySF9) Bindings or the Burton Malavita (bit.ly/2Rvhoyu) Bindings. As for boots, check out the Adidas Samba (bit.ly/3cnNPHN) or the DC Control (bit.ly/31qv0hV) boots.
Have you tested the wide version? On gnu.com says the 155W is a 7/10 flex rating and the 154,5 is a 5,5/10. Just curious if the wide is really that much stiffer.
@@GamersVilleNet I have the 155 W and I think the 7/10 flex is pretty spot on. I have two jones boards and a Weston backwoods with a 7 flex and I would say this is around the same. This board likes to go fast!
Hi Mat, i am from Bulgaria and found a super offer of GNU Riders Choice 158W 2019. Do you think i have to wait for 2020, because has significant tech/materials improvements or i can get the best price for 2019. I agree on graphics comment.
Hi Matt, keep up the good work! Which pair of bindings would pair the Riders Choice best - Strata, Malavita (regulars or winged highbacks?) or Genesis? The board will be used mainly on groomers where I want to improve my carving and buttering, and take on the natural hits. Looking for the ultimate allround bindings with no compromise in comfort and features that can handle some occasional powder days and park laps too. Is there a real benefit of the winged highbacks over the regular Malavitas, because the former limit the boot options thus is the tradeoff worth it? Which size would fit my 10 sized boots? Thanks!
That's pretty hard to say. I think the Malavita/Genesis are really malleable and I would probably go with those. Wings may make you feel a little more secure, but I don't think the benefit is huge. I suggest Malavitas (bit.ly/2Rvhoyu).
People have an issue with anything that doesnt have a skull on it now days. Talked to tons of folks who like the simple colors on the 2019 riders choice
Just picked one of these up in a size 161.5 from the House. Super pumped to rip on it this season!!
Looking forward to the C3 version of the riders choice for 2021 🤙

Totally agree 2020 graphic is so much better than 2019. Keep grinding 💪🏻

Is the widest point of the mag at the waist? The wide sizes are pretty wide. Rode it at a demo and loved it.
Which specific size are you asking about?

Nope. The boards is a carry over from 2019.

Different strokes.
This board has a tone down magne traction BTW. Not like the other GNU boards.
Word up!
