What a time to be alive for collecting LEGO Star Wars
2007 was still better tho ;)
No juniors, no microfighters, best battle packs ever, best MTT ever.
2008 was a close second with those LIT Clone Wars sets too. And second best battle packs ever.
@@scottkrafft6830 2011 was pretty good too
@@scottkrafft6830 i hadnt been into star wars at 2007 but my mom went to a random garrage sale and bought a box of legos and lego intsructions and I basically have every single lego set (not all are put together bc i had to build them) from2007-2011
this comment will aged well considering disney release like 10 new series for star wars
You should do a worst to first video ranking every year of lego star wars.
Yes!
2021 would probably be the worst 😂😂😂
@@vincentshelman2395 well in summer we have the possibility to get clone wars sets, maybe like this year a mega clone battle pack
Andrea Palamara yeah but so far the 2021 line up isn’t looking so good
He really should though
I think we need a Master Builder's Jabba's Palace
I doubt we’ll get one cause of the controversy over jabbas palace
@@stonefilms_ What do You mean?
Yes
@Brady King Apperently the LEGO version of jabbas palace looked like a Muslime mosque and offense was taken. Not the actual location in the movie mind you, but the lego set.
@@blowfish1059 that's tough
Honestly, that figure selection on Jabba’s Palace was👌
Yeah it was. Sadly I was too late to get it
Good thing i at least got the rancor pit before that retired and became super expensive
Yes absolutely 😗👌
I have jabbas palace and the rancor pit. They for together nicely
The Lego connoisseur Same, it’s my favorite sets I own. Honestly probably always will be
2012 was a really good year for Lego Star Wars with the clone wars and actual good OT sets.
2012-2014 were all pretty awesome years.
@@thebrickbountyhunter9046 I agree
@@thebrickbountyhunter9046 no 2006 _ 2014
Later 2000s to mid 2010s were the golden era I think
2012 was the first year I got Lego star wars
2012 was the most nostalgic year of lego for me. Nothing will ever come close. Palpatines arrest, Jabbas palace, the desert skiff, and the old republic sets will always be the most cherished sets I’ve owned. The geonosian canon especially means a lot to me.
i had all of the sets you mentioned besides the old republic sets and honeslty if it werent for lego ninjago and star wars i dont think i would remember a lot of parts from my childhood
Either 2011 or 2013 for me
One thing's for sure, you don't mess with Palpatine. He is the senate, he is love, he is life
@Intisar Iqbal It's treason then.
Yo avery why do we watch EXACTLY the same shit... lol I see you on Hoi4 videos and history stuff too lmaooo
Also Im also Cuba which makes it extra funny to me
It’s called an interceptor not a star fighter- you in the comments- Ryan
That's still a type of starfighter.
was looking forward to seeing this comment
2012 was a great year, especially with sets like the _Malevolence_ . I probably won't forget that darth maul in the corner anytime soon. (Also, worst to first is my favorite series on this channel!)
malevolence kills it! i got it when i was like 7 years old and still takes a good amount of shelf right now it is in a good shape with everything completed only a leg on grevious is broken and i just cant fix it
@@nejcdonko8203 Same bro I got it on my 7th birthday but I lost like all the minifigs lol
@@nejcdonko8203 I never got this set despite always wanting it
Jabba's palace is one of my favorite sets even 8 years later. It could have used a Luke's landspeeder inclusion, but thats neither here nor there.
Why would that come with it 🤨
@@joefox6000 it was a joke bruh
We dont need more landspeeders
you guys must be a ton of fun at parties (not you F in the chat)
John Russell What does that have to do with a lego speeder?
Controversial: I like the LEGO Planet Series
Same
I think the look cool
Glad to see that people agree with me
I do too
Same I had the endor one
M&R: "...its like a TIE Fighter on steroids."
Me: *notices its from The Old Republic
TIEs were made 3-4k years after that ship and era
Sooooo the tie is a is a sith fury class intercepted with withdrawal
He is not a star wars fan he is a Lego star wars fan
He's *CLEARLY* never played SWTOR
I'm early let's make a joke:
2021 Wave
Haha
Lolol
lol
😄 🤣
It’s not good to joke about something as sad as that.
Ryan: I really hate weapon racks
Me: weapon racks? Good, I can use these to replace my stud shooters.
When Ryan forgets Sasee Tiin's name: Mr. Tiin!!!
When LB07productions forgets Saesee Tiin’s name: Sasee Tiin!!!
@@Samylton lol oops, I used to call him croissant jedi as a kid
saucy tiin
Lol
LB07productions That’s a great name
Fun fact:
The ARC trooper in the battle pack was an actual clone during the battle of Kamino named Hammer, the elusive fourth member of Rancor Battalion. And the ARF trooper is actually part of the Wolfpack, though he conspicuously appears in the battle of Kamino as well.
Thanks for this comment bro. I always wondered if the figures were actual characters
I feel like Star Wars sets used to be more fun, even if they were less perfect looking than they are now.
These videos are always the most fun to watch, so nostalgic!
Agree 👌
Imagine....8 years ago.
Ryan dude I love this series keep up the good work!
That Darth Maul box art from 2012 is 🔥
Bringing back nostalgia
2012 probably had the best box art for LEGO Star Wars sets, it screams 2012 loud and proud (especially since it's blue)
@@mariajimenafigueroa233 so true. So much nostalgia. Darth Maul was also a great choice since he came back in the Clone Wars
3:06 I remember seein' this in the ol' lego catalogs back in the day. I always loved looking at the sets even if I had a slim chance of getting them (my parents got my older siblings WAY too much lego and thought I didn't need much more. Go figure).
The genosian cannon brought back so much memories because it was my first Lego set
Great vid M&R!!
My theory is that we are not getting battlepacks in 2021 because the Star Wars CMFs!
Doubt it
2012 was golden 🏆 would be nice to have another year like this now that we’re older and have money to obtain them all.. Patiently waiting for a UCS Jabba’s palace 🤞🏽
Ryan put the ucs b wing at the bottom because it didn't have flick fire missles
Long have I waited for this
This was the year I first got into Star Wars. Nostalgia is making me wish to own each of these sets 😭
That 2012 X-Wing will always be my favorite . . . EVER! What a great design and improvement from the 2004/2006 one! I absolutely love it!
So nostalgic I remenber these sets as a kid
I particularly enjoyed this video as 2012 was the year I got back into LEGO as an adult and have a bunch of the Star Wars sets from this year. Glad to see R2 is your favorite. I have it, but haven't built it yet. And I agree, of the sets I built Jabba's Palace is my favorite of the year...I built it with the Rancor pit and was really impressed.
I also got the B-Wing on that same 1/2 off sale. While I haven't built it yet and it wasn't one I would have normally gotten, but happy to have it for 1/2 price.
The biggest regret from this year's Star Wars sets was not getting the Gungan Sub. I really liked it, thought it was a little over-priced, but was focused on getting original trilogy sets that year. I actually like the sub itself pretty well and yeah, that figure is amazing. I did luck into sealed bags for the Malevolence a year or so ago for under $50. I also got the ARC/ARF trooper battle pack in sealed bags from the thrift store earlier this year.
2012 was a good place to jump into LEGO Star Wars. I've scored a bunch of the older sets in used hauls and fun to have them. I don't have the nostalgia for them, but I still appreciate them for what they were. By 2012, they had improved a significant amount.
2012 was legos best year in my opinion I have have of these sets , was 7 at the time and just recently got obsessed with legos. Each set I saw on this list gave me some sort of memory like seeing it in the store and wishing I had it or how much fun it was to play with that set. 2012 will love on forever as legos best year
Dang I have like all the ones on the bottom of the list. Also you really underrated the malevolence.
2012 was such a great year for Lego Star Wars, every set was good and it was just peak Lego Star wars
2012 was my entry into Lego Star Wars and lego as a whole. I remember some of those sets being ones I wanted but was not able to get. Things just were very different back then, now I own some of the sets I wanted (the RAZOR Crest) and I now vallue the sets that came before.
I had 8 of these sets back when I was younger, I still have my Y-Wing, Malovence, and Sith-Fury Class ship built, currently been working on rebuilding Jabbas palace and next Palpatine's arrest. I also had the Desert Skariff, Gungan sub, and escape pod.
I really hope that Lego could make a mega Jabba’s palace, where there is so much inside it, where the rancor pit also includes, and and the sail barge, and the desert skiff and salarc. There should also be all the minifigures, and there should be over 10.000 bricks in the set.
The arc trooper vs commando droid BP.
Brings me so much nostalgia.
First appearance of a commando droid in lego was so cool as a teen. Then of course later years a captain came out to finish off a squad.
Who wants a UCS malevolence
UCS Invisible Hand would be better
I have soo many sets from this year man, X-Wing, Tie, Y-Wing, Pre Viszla's Fighter and both Battle Packs. Good times man 😁
I’m happy to say that I own the commando droid vs clone troopers battle pack. The ARC trooper is my favorite LEGO minifigure I own to this day. 😃
Just got my hands on that UCS R2-D2 brand new and sealed which I'm super happy about
The desert skiff was my first Lego Star Wars set! Brings back memories!
This was the year that got me into lego Star Wars, which got me into Star Wars as a whole. I remember all of these sets, and owned about half of them.
I love these to see where my sets stack up!
Although looking at this year I only had the advent calendar and a poly bag: 5000062 :/
The escape pod and the desert skiff where my 2 first Lego sets
I love the battle pack with the arc trooper. Great minifigs
This is a very special year, because this was the year I really got into LEGO Star Wars, always wanted Jabba’s palace and it’s a bummer that I could never get it
I grew up with Saesee Tinn's starfighter, oh the memories I had with that thing. I'm planning to buy one for my home on Amazon just because of that amazing nostalgia of me playing with it on the stairs of my great grandparents' house
I remember 2012 being one of my favorite years for Lego Star Wars, especially since The Malevolence was my favorite set at the time and it was the first Star Wars set I got with over 1000 pieces, and the 2nd set overly I got with over 1000 pieces
7:34 he is so respectful to Mr. Tin
Ryan: that queen Amidala is worth the money
everyone: SIMP!
Nice List
Could you do a video on the 4 Jabba sets from 2012/2013 (Palace, Skiff, Sail Barge, Rancor)?
I'd love to see this collection completed...
Awesome vid your my fav Lego youtuber how many 501 do you already have?
2012 was suuccchhh a good year for not only star wars but lego in total. i miss it lol
The droid escape pod was actually my 1st ever LEGO set. I had just seen the movies as a kid and then got the set so I love it a lot for nostalgia.
My first set(s) was the original lego anikin’s Jedi star fighter, and or the lego assassin droid battle and or the clone walker battle pack
this was my first lego star wars year that i got sets so nostalgia
remember getting jabba s palace foy my birthday, what memories and nostalgia, today i losted bib fortuna and salacious crumb
i remember when i saw palpatines arrest for the first time. i was 7 and episode 3 was my favorite sw movie. i asked for palpetines arrest for my bday and i was super excited. that’s why palpatines arrest is my favorite set from 2012
This year has so much nostalgia
This was my kid time in lego, I loved it
The fury class interceptor is so sick
If i ever get a time machine I will use these videos as reference on what to buy each year
Love to see some of these sets get remade, Jabba's Palace is one, may have the Rancor Pit part of it or improve both, maybe add a third area where the droids go and the prison area from the same movie scene, Jabba's Sail Barge is another, other sets may be remade but who knows tbh
That desert skiff was my first ever Lego set so it’s definitely my favourite of 2012
Those ARC and ARF troopers were phenomenal.
My highlight of the day is when Ryan releases a video.
So much nostalgia
That Jedi Speeder from the Palpatine arrest would make an excellent juniors set.
that detaching jedi fighter looks so funny!
I got the r2 d2 for christmas in 2012 and I still have it on display... I love it so much 😂
What could be the worst set of the best year...
Hard to decide
The Droid escape pod is actually my first Lego starwars set that I remember building
lol same
How did I miss this
MandR: “this is the first time we’ve had Leia in her celebration outfit I think” MandR what about the Tantive IV?
thats different
That’s her normal outfit she has on in A New Hope that comes in the Tantive IV. The one in the Y-wing is her outfit from the celebration at the very end of ANH
Idk Ryan that Fury Interceptor was definitely one of the highlights of the year.
I bought it in 2014 on sale and now it is destroyed but I still have my malgus figure. Rest in pieces😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
i remember when everybody was tryna figure out whether to buy that or the palpatines arrest since they were same price, i always wanted the interceptor but parents never got me it lol, good times
M and r? Did you do a lego Y wing comparisons video yet? I would love to see a video like that
The commander droid versus the arc troopers battle pack was my second ever Lego Star Wars set
I remember getting the gungan sub for Christmas I feel like it’s underrated.
My favorite set of all time is palpatines arrest, great figures, great display piece, great action features 😄
I love the UCS B wing definitely in my top 5 sets for starwars
I own the droid escape, gungan sub, desert skiff, arc trooper battle pack, tie fighter, and jabbas palace. I bought the Tie fighter and arc trooper battle pack years later though.
The droid escape set or the millennium falcon definitely are number 1 for me. The Falcon was the first big lego set that I got and the droid escape was the first non-planet set that I got.
Hoping to see the previous year videos, just finished binging all the recent years. I haven’t been into lego for about 7-8 years, so I want to see which sets I got when I was younger ranked by someone else
The geonosian cannon and the escape pod were my first sets
We need remakes of almost all of these sets😂😂
Love the R2-D2 although I’m only getting it for the first time ever this month
good job
8:44 We realy sahould had that set as a UCS set, also wish that could get some of the sepratist ships.
That elite clone trooper caught my eye it looks so cool! I started searching up the price for it lol
It's kind of crazy how many new minifigures LEGO offered in 2012. Nute Gunray, Queen Amidala, Barriss Offee, ARC Trooper, Old republic characters... Compare this to 2020 where they reused Mustafar Anakin and Obi-Wan in Clone Wars/early Episode III sets.
My favorite 2012 set is the Palpatine’s Arrest, but 2012 was one of the best Lego Star Wars years.
I've got the jabbas palace set along with the skiff and the pod
The advent calendar had a Gonk droid though!
Jabba's Palace is easily one of my favorite sets of all time!
5:10 the lightsaber handle makes me go aaaaaaaaa
I actually love the b wing. Its so weird looking that I like it. Yeah after watching the first 5 or so sets after the b wing, it definitely didn't deserve to be last. It looks way cooler than most of those.
take a shot every time he says "flick fire missiles" lol
1:44 I never noticed that
