The general rule of thumb in the States is that we are allowed to use enough force, including deadly force, to neutralize a threat. If the courts find that you used more force than was necessary, you can be held criminally liable. Also, the intent of the perpetrator is immaterial. The controlling factor is what the perception is of the person defending themselves or another person.
I believe that this particular prankster is prepared to be injured for his stupid job as that would get him exponentially more revenue. He is fairly confident because there are people in his team nearby to rescue him should things get too leary.

Looks fake, the girl herself doesn't react at all to it, if that was a stranger you would expect her to flinch away from such contact, but the only thing she does is move forward when he's being pulled over (& then turned back).
My comment agreeing with you got deleted by UA-cam for some reason and considered "hate speech" for literally just pointing out it's clearly staged. Weird.

I'm really surprised other people are thinking it's real, surely they see her non reaction, she isn't freaked out , she doesn't even react to him pulling him over the barrier. It's fake
If it was a setup then they are even more idiotic than I thought, it can be pretty dangerous to do that on an escalator. Get something tangled up in it like the string from a hoodie, next thing you know your head will be making its way down the escalator without the rest of you. Idiots if fake, idiots if not.. therefor, idiots.
Prankster is lucky not to have a broken arm at least. Surely reaching over and intentionally touching someone's neck without any kind of prior consent as a premeditated way of getting a potentially violent reaction from the person's partner for clicks and revenue is still a form of common assault if it was in the Uk?
The girl in the red coat's reaction wasn't normal for someone being attacked or assaulted - the whole things a set up in my view, purely for views.....
Exactly It's a set up for more views. The way she reacted was not normal , its like she was told to just stand there so they could set up the next bit. 100% set up and doesn't need to be spoken about , all it's done is created 18 million views for money.
That's what I thought. That was not a natural reaction from the girl when the 'stranger' touches her neck. He was also pulled over that escalator hand rail too easily like it was planned and helped it happen. And to suddenly say "ah its a prank, that's ok then" then laugh about it again isn't normal behaviour if it genuinely was a prank on the couple by a stranger.

Social media platforms are continually fostering individuals who crave more and more attention, often leading them to label themselves as ‘influencers’ due to the shallow and often inappropriate content they create. It is disheartening to see humility and normalcy becoming scarce qualities among the newer generations. 🎉
Yes, social media has a lot to answer for.
"Influencer" logic
Commit a crime
Face consequences
"Yo it's just a prank"
Expect to get away with anything
The general rule of thumb in the States is that we are allowed to use enough force, including deadly force, to neutralize a threat. If the courts find that you used more force than was necessary, you can be held criminally liable. Also, the intent of the perpetrator is immaterial. The controlling factor is what the perception is of the person defending themselves or another person.
Did exactly what any decent guy would do.
So if he slapped the prankster across the face that would make the guy in grey not decent? These people need to be shown what consequence is.
Damn RIGHT!!
What any decent guy SHOULD do (most would wimp out and do nothing) 😢
About time too, the prankster had an immediate Code Brown moment
And count himself lucky it's not a Code Red one.
Exactly!
I believe that this particular prankster is prepared to be injured for his stupid job as that would get him exponentially more revenue. He is fairly confident because there are people in his team nearby to rescue him should things get too leary.
Guy in white would have caught an elbow or 3. I don’t care for pranks.
In America thugs are randomly snatching phones, watches, hand bags and jewelry from unsuspecting people on the street. If i was the man in grey I would have thought the pimp was trying to steal a necklace. Good for him.
We used to call that mugging people.
It's not just America.....these idiots are everywhere.
I don't think you know what pimp means, there's nothing about that guy to imply he is one.
@@Vincent_Beers I was using it as a derogatory not to be literal.
He did the correct thing and neutralised the perceived threat. He remained a lot calmer than I would have. In this world we now live in, this needs to STOP.
Prank guy wants to go hands on.
Guy in grey gives him all the hands 😂😂😂😂😂😂
lucky he pranked someone who was reasonable. if this was anyone else he would have had a broken nose!
Good on the guy in grey.
An admirable reaction.
The other one... obviously an immature childman.
Somehow the phrase “it’s a prank” protects you from the consequences of harassing other people
We shouldn’t even be debating this. Anyone going around with the deliberate intention of harassing and interfering with strangers and filming it for entertainment deserves whatever they get!
most kids would be in jail though if we followed this rule
@@coolrazer91 Then we need to build more jails
@@coolrazer91 That's a pretty low opinion of kids, not all kids are going around acting like complete twats!
He should be pranked to jail for assault. How dare he potentially traumatise anyone and say it was only fun. Disgusting behaviour.
The guy in grey never went into “panic mode”. It was protection mode.
Doesn't matter if the guy says its a prank, its not funny, its a borderline criminal offence and its sole purpose is for shock content to profit from
"Its a prank!"
"Oh, haha!" **the punching begins**
It might help if TikTok, and other platforms, simply de-monetised these obvious "pranks".
" Love it when a Plan doesn't come together " - The F team 😂😂
Fafo team 😂
its not a prank he did it... 10 /10 to that guy for situational awareness and reaction time.. this sort of exposure will just encourage these pranks unless tiktok ban the videos
The Prankster needs to get the $HIT kicked out of him! Teachable Moment!
Agree with you and tell the prankster after he got his ass kick and tell him it's a prank.
What I don't understand is how this "prank" behaviour is monetised on TikTok. You can be banned for the slightest non orthodoxy comments, yet minor assault and other forms of interference is not just allowed but can earn money. It's perverse.
There's something very sinister behind it, like talking is worse than actions, ideology trumps actual harm.
Reacts like a real man. Kudos to him! STOP these pranks. they are affecting the way we react to attacks!
More people are standing up and getting it done !
One day that prankster could run into the wrong guy and it won’t end well
Yeah, of a different race
Looks fake, the girl herself doesn't react at all to it, if that was a stranger you would expect her to flinch away from such contact, but the only thing she does is move forward when he's being pulled over (& then turned back).
You may have a point...she doesn't react at all
My comment agreeing with you got deleted by UA-cam for some reason and considered "hate speech" for literally just pointing out it's clearly staged. Weird.
@@fookoff9220
Yes I was going to say what is that w girl doing with those two but thought better of it ! OH NO I JUST DID ! .
@@pedanticperson1149 I had a similar thought.
It’s so hard these days to tell what is real and what is fake. Either way it’s still a good demonstration of self control and proportional response in self defence. To stop when there is no longer a threat.
If that's real I'm Santa 🧑🎄
If it were me, the guy in white would be in the hospital!
Anyone who has seen that guy's videos has been waiting for that reaction for a LONG time
The woman did not react at all so that suggests to me this was a complete set up. Why has no-one noticed this and only focussed on the two men?
Agree.
Trust me I noticed too. She didn’t even flinch. And looked like she even leaned over to make sure contact was made? Staged? I’m thinking maybe.
Exactly, I reckon the whole thing was a set up and it's us whose pranked
Or, she couldn't see who touched her and assumed it was the boyfriend from behind.
Not everyone flinches just from being touched, at least if you are with someone you trust.
Exactly. Watch all the other public ready watching for the incident before anything happens. Set up. Fake.
I dont understand, you wanna do something you know is wrong to get a reaction, then get upset when it happens? Huh?
Thanks for the break down to further the stupidity, and justify this stupidity.
the definition of fuck around and find out
My thoughts immediately.
STOP - It's an invasion of privacy and ones personal space, surely?
No privacy in a public space.
@@longrolstral To look at but not to touch someone!
@@TheGazzadj That would be the personal space you mentioned, and intentional touching.
I think the whole thing was staged. Conveniently stopped escalator, with nobody else on their side of it. The woman not reacting with any sort of surprise nor shock, and just walked out of the camera view.
It wasn't "Panic Mode", it was DEFENSE MODE. Good on him, he did what he needed to do in the situation to protect the girl from a potentially situation.
I call BS. The girl didn't react at all to being touched or to the guy reacting with force behind her. I suspect they were all in the prank.
I agree. The guy in white had his leg up and over to aid being pulled over too
Probably right. Would explain why he the guy in grey “took it well” and why she didn’t react at all to any of it
I'm really surprised other people are thinking it's real, surely they see her non reaction, she isn't freaked out , she doesn't even react to him pulling him over the barrier.
It's fake
This was my first thought. Why didn’t the sharp eyed barrister consider this?
Agreed the initial response is to push away.....not to pull closer....so it was all choreograph....they are all in on it !!!
And what if a total setup with all three involved? Millions of views, a nice little earner? But point taken on legalities
Looks like a setup to me...she didn't react at all
If it was a setup then they are even more idiotic than I thought, it can be pretty dangerous to do that on an escalator.
Get something tangled up in it like the string from a hoodie, next thing you know your head will be making its way down the escalator without the rest of you.
Idiots if fake, idiots if not.. therefor, idiots.
That was my first thought. Nothing is real anymore.
💯%
Clearly. He gets pulled over the escalator way too easy.
Yeah the assaulter got off way too easy here. I have zero time for their BS.
Prankster is lucky not to have a broken arm at least. Surely reaching over and intentionally touching someone's neck without any kind of prior consent as a premeditated way of getting a potentially violent reaction from the person's partner for clicks and revenue is still a form of common assault if it was in the Uk?
I would ban Tik Tok and make them relive their pranks every hour of every day for life.
"..I don't care what it was. Dont touch my Woman !! Hands off !! Perod ! "
The girl in the red coat's reaction wasn't normal for someone being attacked or assaulted - the whole things a set up in my view, purely for views.....
💯
My thoughts too 🤔
Exactly
It's a set up for more views.
The way she reacted was not normal , its like she was told to just stand there so they could set up the next bit.
100% set up and doesn't need to be spoken about , all it's done is created 18 million views for money.
so much respect to the guy for holding back, keeping his emotions in check, staying calm, excellent inner strength
Perfect ending. Taught the prankster a lesson without going overboard and once settled, all was good.
plot twist, all three are in on the 'prank'
That's what I thought. That was not a natural reaction from the girl when the 'stranger' touches her neck. He was also pulled over that escalator hand rail too easily like it was planned and helped it happen. And to suddenly say "ah its a prank, that's ok then" then laugh about it again isn't normal behaviour if it genuinely was a prank on the couple by a stranger.
I look forward to being pranked….and metering out the appropriate response..😆
This is not a prank. This is an unwanted touch which is illegal. It’s too bad the guy in the gray wasn’t an undercover policeman because then the TikTok prankster would’ve understood the legal repercussions of his so-called pranks.
Great interpretation of how an irritating trend can escalate to violence I wish it would STOP.
