I'm not upset about Black Friday fading away. It's ironic that a holiday created by corporate greed is collapsing because of corporate greed. They aren't willing to discount enough to keep their own holiday going.
@FunkyBruja No lies told girl 💯 These nieces are getting some $80 gift cards and a merry Christmas and a sit the hell down with long Christmas list because rent is due.
Black Friday is officially done. Nobody is waiting in line for 10% or 20% off. Also the fact that they are lying about the prices and charging you more.
I was scrolling through some different websites for stuff I thought could be useful and yeah, most of everything the price was the exact same or higher🙄 and I’m not gonna waste my money on $10 polyester from fashion nova. no one needs that, it’s always the useless stuff that has the most discount.
I think over consumerism plays a part. We are constantly buying things throughout the year (Amazon must haves etc). There’s no hype by the time Black Friday comes. Just another day
I am a bill collector. Every year, from October- December, we anticipate less payments because people want to shop. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas. We noticed today, Black Friday, that we had a bigger influx of payments compared to previous years. People being smarter cause this economy is not good. August is also another month we anticipate slow business due to school starting.
Store owners here on the news are actually admitting that the economy is good as there were plenty of shoppers out in long lines. I never did Black Friday shopping.
Honestly August is understandable the kids need new school clothes they sizes change and stuff its like paying a big bill when its time for them to go back 😢
I took an economic class in high school and I was told then that Black Friday was always a scammed. Stores will raise the price on stuff before Black Friday and then drop it on Black Friday to the original price before the price was raised.
Sounds like what they did to a tool I purchased days ago that went on sale, and than when black friday came it dropped $50. They claim they couldn't give me the bf deal but I could return it. You know I returned it and purchased again for the deal lol
we did not do that at the stores I worked in as a teen (Lord and Taylor, Kmart). the TV and electronic thing, those were "deals" only because the manufacturers put out models that had less features in them- like 2 HDMI ports vs 4, etc etc just for Black Friday.... 🤷🏼♀
Probably with all the theft and folks being allowed to get away with it. The best gift ever is to have a roof over your head, employment, and bills paid. Happy holidays.
Honestly, people aren't going to agree with me, but I'm actually glad that Black Friday isn't the way that it used to be. Who wants to fight someone over material things? Who wants people snatching things out of your hands and stealing from you? Especially when you're just trying to buy your family decent Christmas gifts like everyone else. The deals could be better, but I'm glad Black Friday is not crazy and chaotic like before. People don't know how to act.
I've always hated Black Friday. Not only because I worked in retail for 5 years, but because it happened literally hours after you were supposed to give thanks and be grateful for everything that you already had. People are missing Thanksgiving and getting violent over deals and workers are missing being with their family to work.
amazon and a few other stores were exposed for pretending to have sales but it was their regular prices. Its all a play, when people see a big price being slashed down they'll think they're getting a deal no matter how much the new price is- and companies played on this . Its delusional to think Black Friday is still the same today. Places like Ross and secondary stores have always been it, they take name brand and chop the price, been shopping there for years
You're right I work at Ross and the best time to shop for deals there is when the seasons are changing. A lot of items go on clearance! I manage to get a sweater for 0.87 cents and I feel gleeful every time I wear it😂
I use to work for Macys call center as a sales rep when I was younger. This concept is very true. I would sell items for a certain price and when it went on “sale” the price was higher and “crossed out in red” with the regular price being the sale price. Criminal.
As someone who lost a loved one due to the actions of over 2,000 people who acted like mf wild animals!, I find it very disrespectful and dangerous for people to say bring back, violence, stampedes and pure disregard for human life😤!
Ya, wtf is up with people salivating over violence? It’s disgusting to even joke about that because workers have been killed by things like that in the past.

Real talk about the delivery expectations. I knew something was failing with Amazon earlier this year when they couldn't fulfil my next day delivery. It wasn't even a holiday.
One thing- Black Friday is too close to Rent and Mortgage being due for December. Another thing is some big Retailers started their Black Friday sales earlier this week. That's probably why you aren't seeing that much foot traffic on Black Friday. Another reason is that some people just don't want to be around others in stores. I was just about to type this all year we are purchasing vs. back then we would wait months for this time of year to buy certain items. Now it’s endless consumption
It's strange that companies I thought I unsubscribed from have been emailing me this week. I stopped participating in Black Friday years ago because the deals aren't really deals anymore. This holiday season, I'm committed to staying debt-free for Christmas and the New Year.
I started looking for a hydroponic system to grow food in my apartment earlier in the month, hoping it would be a little cheaper during Black Friday. Why is it $10 more now and Amazon has it labeled as 25% off. They’re full of bull sh!t
There are a lot of small businesses on Amazon and Etsy that also have their own websites you can buy directly from them instead and sometimes they'll have their own sales
Good on those workers! I worked at Amazon in Texas. This trillion dollar company couldn’t even put AC in a distribution warehouse. I saw all kinds of people falling out during the Texas summers.
Today made it official for me, no more waking up before the sun comes up for Black Friday. Was out shopping for 12 hours and left with two bags… A JOKE!
In my 41 years of life, I probably went black friday shopping 2 or 3 times and that was once in my teens, once in my 20's and maybe once in my 30's. It's never been my thing 🤷🏾♀️
I found a 75% off yarn sale a few weeks ago, and everyone is getting a homemade scarf, hat, and headwrap set. It's a homemade Christmas this year. I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices on BS "sales" this year.
Small shops on etsy have sales throughout the year for clearance or new items etc. we can buy gifts any time of year and save them for holiday season. That's what my parents did too cuz they WERE NOT going to the store the day after Thanksgiving playing with those crowds and aggressive people getting Christmas gifts.
Thankyou it's was just ghetto ratchet ass behaviour. Let's keep shopping cute and demure. You couldn't catch me fighting like that. The capitalism and overconsumption is too much. Shop as you need and appropriately. No need to overwork these poor workers. No need to fight each other. While the CEOs laughing they way to the bank.
The prices of groceries is what happened to black Friday for me. Eggs are effin $4 a carton. I am trying to stack the freezer not fight over a TV. 😅 LBVS
I’m glad we’re not doing Black Friday like that anymore. It was dangerous and people are genuinely crazy nowadays. What I AM surprised about is the lack of virtual deals
Girl. This economy is too bad for be to be splurging. Not only that, these "deals" are just regular deals. Nothing on my Wishlist dropped less then the regular "sales" 😭
The last time I stood in line for Black Friday in 2017 and by the time we got in the store, the tv’s I wanted were gone. Now, people don’t have the income anymore. It’s sad. Christmas is no longer fun it’s stressful to me and I don’t have the spirit anymore.
Some of us realize the vicious cycle and are opting out. People are not going into debt buying things that you don't need or of no quality and value. Others can't overspend. As a culture, we have too much, which is why the storage business is booming.
I saw the black friday sales, most of the sales on Amazon are straight up trash.the only things I was able to get was socks and a couple candles at Walmart.
Amazon is sneaky. If you save it for later, the price may drop. But if you leave it in your cart, the prices rise. You have to be savvy on Amazon these days. But it’s still the best place for everyday purchases. The reviews are really clutch.
Extremely off topic Ms.Ti but, you really are inspiring with your ambitions. You're part of the tech community, beauty brand creator, dabbled in acting, trailblazer for online content and now considering catering. Dang did I miss anything⁉️ Many hats off to you in your endeavors sis! 👒🖤🎉
i used to work retail back then, having management give us practically a pre-battle speech like we were preparing for war with a foreign nation before the doors opened and we got swarmed. People lined up trying to break into the store as you arrived for your shift that morning, having to have security stand guard while the doors were unlocked. Having to have all the male employees moved to the front to prevent all the smaller women from getting the smack kicked out of them by these crazy customers. Now parking lots and stores are empty.
Speaking of hand towels.. It’s either Macy’s or JC penny that usually has them for 99 cents on bf. In years past I would order them online and pick it up days later. Not sure if they’re doing it this year?
You know what, I'ma learn how to sew my own clothes. My mom gifted me a singer sewing machine when I was 17 and after seeing this I'ma just start making my own stuff 😂 I already started a gardening.
I don’t cuz I don’t want a felony worked tooo hard for my career I prefer to not buy or wait till later….. no WANT is worth my freedom or being blasted on the internet going viral looking crazy and losing everything!!!!!
@@dwhat6088they indeed jack prices up when people steal to cover losses. They also raise prices when the economy is bad and they have to make up for losses due to decreased sales volume. You know when else they jack up prices? When they make record profits and consumers seem to have more disposable income that they’re willing to spend. Most corporations are run by greedy bastards who jack up the price no matter what if they can get away with it.
I think it’s a mixture of overconsumption, companies ripping people off with unfair prices, the after effects of the 2020 Pandemic, and the current high inflation being among the reasons why people are no longer shopping on Black Friday.
I remember people were camping out in front of Walmart, Target, etc, right after thanksgiving dinner. They would leave their homes at 7pm and be out there bundled up in sleeping bags waiting for the stores to open 😂.
The sales are just scams and nobody wants to deal with other ppl. I feel like ppl have lost the interest to interact with each other. And life it’s too expensive to waste ur money 🥴
My son worked a long long long shift at Best Buy yesterday ...they were busy because people rather buy in person instead of counting on their mail being delivered safely to their front door ...mail theft up
Another reason why Black Friday is dying is because of the U.S cultural shift away from hard tech (i.e., appliances, electronics, devices etc.,) and toward virtual content. Simply put, people get most of their at-home entertainment and utility from their iPhones, online games, and other virtual merchandise.
The deals are horrible now. I mostly shop online and I started Christmas shopping in July and got everything on my daughter’s list plus some for a little over $100. Last Christmas I noticed how expensive toys were becoming and I told myself I was going to start early. The last time I went out for Black Friday was 2014 at midnight to buy a 55 inch TV for $115 that I currently still have in my living room lol. I think it’s funny that corporate/American express created Black Friday deals to be greedy and now consumers are basically spitting in their faces. And that lady talking about having items in her Amazon cart for weeks and the prices actually increased is true. All of my Amazon cart stuff increased and I left the mess there.
It may take a long time before people start, realizing or putting into actual practice, however, we need to stop giving our Money to corporations that do not have our best or fair interest in mind. When they realize they’re getting less of your money, they will absolutely gather up and make new decisions.
Thank you everyone for tuning in this evening, i hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving!
It's because everyone has tvs and it's not worth the chaos and confusion, but hey theyneed to have black Friday for groceries, that would be greater
That lady said that with her chest 😂😂😂😂 "we need to steal " 😂😂😂😂 wth

I think they want it to be harder for us to sustain ourselves.
If you can wait just buy it after the holidays or buy it directly from the seller.
There are a lot of small businesses on Amazon and Etsy that also have their own websites you can buy directly from them instead and sometimes they'll have their own sales
@loryndabenson2118 good tip 👌🏽 also, what's up lol??
Good on those workers! I worked at Amazon in Texas. This trillion dollar company couldn’t even put AC in a distribution warehouse. I saw all kinds of people falling out during the Texas summers.
Today made it official for me, no more waking up before the sun comes up for Black Friday. Was out shopping for 12 hours and left with two bags… A JOKE!
“Trampling over humanity” to get a deal is hilarious & completely nuts! 🥜 😂
i love when you hit on topics like this!!
it gives us a break from the celebrity nonsense.
☕️🙌🏾✨💜
I absolutely enjoy her real-life, real issues commentary as well.
@@Alexis-ln2hpyes, it's my favorite type of content.
I never understood the thrill of Black Friday shopping. It’s just too much chaos for me. Cyber Monday was my favorite.
In my 41 years of life, I probably went black friday shopping 2 or 3 times and that was once in my teens, once in my 20's and maybe once in my 30's. It's never been my thing 🤷🏾♀️
Same.
I found a 75% off yarn sale a few weeks ago, and everyone is getting a homemade scarf, hat, and headwrap set.
It's a homemade Christmas this year.
I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices on BS "sales" this year.
Can I get a set
I ❤ that! Actually that's even more special that you are making gifts handmade.
Could I get a hat and scarf to please, I'd be very greatful!
These are the most precious gifts! Not only are you getting something useful, a person spent time and effort making it for you. ❤
Amazon is not what it used to be. Most items are no longer delivered next day.
Good point
You ain’t lying. I ordered a next day Prime on 3 days ago and they saying it’s delayed. That’s been happening a lot lately.
Central washington and its a week to 10 days now. Absolutely ridiculous.
@@lanice76reed9they gave me a refund on my headphones because they couldn’t get my order to me 😅😂.
They probably can’t keep up with all the orders. That’s why the workers are boycotting
People worried about the wrong things. Save your money.
Ti that thanksgiving set up is flawless! The food truly looks like it would taste amazing ❤ you are talented on many levels. I aspire ✨
awww thank you so much!! everything turned out amazing the setup, the family/friends and the food🥰
The last time I saw a Black Friday deal for 75% off was back in 2013 at Walmart.
I DO NOT miss those days!! Let’s keep it this way! 😂
Nah, we just need some balance. That's All.
💯
Thankyou it's was just ghetto ratchet ass behaviour. Let's keep shopping cute and demure. You couldn't catch me fighting like that.
The capitalism and overconsumption is too much.
Shop as you need and appropriately.
No need to overwork these poor workers. No need to fight each other. While the CEOs laughing they way to the bank.
Agreed. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE CRAZY!!
14:20. Ok....that's why the Kerig I was eyeing hasn't gone down at Target .
The prices of groceries is what happened to black Friday for me. Eggs are effin $4 a carton. I am trying to stack the freezer not fight over a TV. 😅 LBVS
*We all poor that’s why*
Right! food rent and gas
Skipped Black Friday this year. Just followed my regular routine. Its just another day
I went to Walmart to get some food for work and I was in and out in less than an hour. It was like a regular day.
😂 I even made returns at Walmart this Friday.
I’m glad we’re not doing Black Friday like that anymore. It was dangerous and people are genuinely crazy nowadays. What I AM surprised about is the lack of virtual deals
It doesn't surprise me
Black Friday mania is over just like the mall life
The strikes are going to get real honey 🍯
What strikes?
Kinda sad about the mall dying for nostalgia reasons..
As an. Ex retail worker this is AWESOME 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I hated working thanksgiving and black Friday
Girl. This economy is too bad for be to be splurging. Not only that, these "deals" are just regular deals. Nothing on my Wishlist dropped less then the regular "sales" 😭
The white cashier at Walmart was looking around like... CHRISTINA!!! Christina's gone 😂😂😂😂😂
Lmboo
The last time I stood in line for Black Friday in 2017 and by the time we got in the store, the tv’s I wanted were gone. Now, people don’t have the income anymore. It’s sad. Christmas is no longer fun it’s stressful to me and I don’t have the spirit anymore.
Some of us realize the vicious cycle and are opting out. People are not going into debt buying things that you don't need or of no quality and value. Others can't overspend. As a culture, we have too much, which is why the storage business is booming.
I’m an Amazon worker and it took me 4 years to get to $22 hr from $17; with a few cents every 24 months here in OC, Cali.
How did you ask??
@@jincks277ask?
Slave wages 😮
Overconsumption all year round PLUS overstimulation with ads all year round too. They can’t grab anyone’s attention like before
Sticking together today to Boycott is the only way to affect outcomes.
💪🏾💯
People are NOW just realizing this ….. better late than never lol 😅.
I saw the black friday sales, most of the sales on Amazon are straight up trash.the only things I was able to get was socks and a couple candles at Walmart.
Big corps is robbing us. If you not rich by now, chances are 💁🏾♂️
Amazon is sneaky. If you save it for later, the price may drop. But if you leave it in your cart, the prices rise. You have to be savvy on Amazon these days. But it’s still the best place for everyday purchases. The reviews are really clutch.
Target line was wrapped around the corner here! No Black Friday shopping, it was for TAYLOR SWIFT’S Eras Tour Book!😂😂😂
lol yes I couldn’t believe the line was for Taylor Swift’s book.
Oh gaaawwd! 🙄🙄😒 I can only imagine the type of customers that drew. “I want to speak to your manager” type.
@@Court042 😂😂
@@appointedvillainy No, they were all pleasantly nice and patient. Thank God.😂
Extremely off topic Ms.Ti but, you really are inspiring with your ambitions. You're part of the tech community, beauty brand creator, dabbled in acting, trailblazer for online content and now considering catering. Dang did I miss anything⁉️
Many hats off to you in your endeavors sis! 👒🖤🎉
My first memory of Black Friday was grown mfs boutta fight behind towels🤦🏾♀️
It use to be nice family fun but then it began getting out of hand
i used to work retail back then, having management give us practically a pre-battle speech like we were preparing for war with a foreign nation before the doors opened and we got swarmed. People lined up trying to break into the store as you arrived for your shift that morning, having to have security stand guard while the doors were unlocked. Having to have all the male employees moved to the front to prevent all the smaller women from getting the smack kicked out of them by these crazy customers. Now parking lots and stores are empty.
@@captainmycaptain8334 that’s ridiculous. Grown people really use to act an ass on that day and it was scary.
Speaking of hand towels.. It’s either Macy’s or JC penny that usually has them for 99 cents on bf. In years past I would order them online and pick it up days later. Not sure if they’re doing it this year?
The good ole days 😅
I'm loving this...The Masses are waking up!!! You're right Lovelyti, discounts on rent, mortgages and ⛽️ 4real!!!
Tell me why I got a regular deal at Ross today on an item at $39 meanwhile Amazon got the same item for $64😒
You know what, I'ma learn how to sew my own clothes. My mom gifted me a singer sewing machine when I was 17 and after seeing this I'ma just start making my own stuff 😂 I already started a gardening.
“I propose we go in the stores and steal” 😂😂 I feel her.
😂😂😂😂
I don’t cuz I don’t want a felony worked tooo hard for my career I prefer to not buy or wait till later….. no WANT is worth my freedom or being blasted on the internet going viral looking crazy and losing everything!!!!!
Its a joke, chill. 😂@@kenyatta411
The stealing is part of why prices are jacked up high now. Stores don't want to eat all of that loss.
Amazon is saying things are black Friday deal when they are just
clearance items that have been on sale for the last month.
I peeped that a few days ago and was the same price before and after black Friday
I haven’t been to a mall or big chain store for Black Friday in YEARS, and I don’t miss it one bit.
Be Satisfied & Thankful for another day.
Forget buying gifts & spending money💰that you don’t have.
We all need to plan for the nightmare to come.
What are you missing? We are already in that nightmare!!! Don't let them fool you into thinking otherwise.
Ppl are shopping online. Nobody ready to fight ppl for 20% in store.
I see why Black Friday went away. People were crazy!
And still are!!!
Black Friday mentality is dangerous!
Very!
Most people don't even know what Black Friday means.
Let’s have this attitude towards Xmas, too! 😊
l agree 💯
Also, a lot of the stores have sales year round. Some of those deals are better than black friday deals.
