Hey man! Had a question. Do you typically wash and sand your figures before priming and painting? I'm looking into making some custom paint jobs on my figuarts. Also, how did you prep for painting the rubber parts like Gogeta's orange shoulder pads you colored or like with your DB Heroes Vegito's waist skirt? I plan on sanding, priming with Citadel white primer, and painting with the Vallejo model colors with a paintbrush. Just curious if you do anything different for the more rubbery materials vs plastic on the figures though.
Hello. I don’t wash them but I do sand them down. The primer is enough for the paint to stick if you donate coats and let it dry completely. Just be sure to add the sealer after you’re finished with all your coats and it will stay. I use Vallejo matte sealer

What level of sand paper did you use to get it ready for the primer?
I don’t know the level to be honest. I’ve just been using the sandpaper sponge the milliput comes with. Says “super fine” if that helps
