as someone who's well versed on both characters, the answer is unfortunately HE CAN'T, ryu is just not equipped to handle demon physiology like high godly regen, higher dimensional existence, passive fear & mind manipulation etc. and even, for some unknown reason, ryu end up killing Dante, the devil sword sparda can actually bring him back to life (something that most people don't know) especially now that he's fused with it

That’s what I’ve been saying to people for the longest he is not below these type of characters it just he got Nerf in NG3 with no newfound type of threat, except for the goddess got his dragon sword taken away and had it to fight, miniature, CS:GO/resident evil BOW Ripoffs for remainder of the game so it didn’t really do him no justice, even though while 3 razors edge had one of the best combats in my opinion out of the trilogies in my defense it’s just missing some health potions, and more items of choice. I really hope one day it returns, and we get a proper ninja guidance story again just like how we got into one one when he’s fighting only undead monsters, and gods, like dragon ninja hybrid supposed to do that’s why he’s a “Super Ninja”🤷♂️
In fact, Ryu's blood is not fiend blood. His entire clan origin is explicity explained by "the dragon lineage". He is half dragon, as you mentioned. Ryu = Dragon, Hayabusa = Peregrine Falcon. Dragons in Ninja Gaiden are not demonic, I think divine entities is more accurate. Who actually has fiend lineage is Genshin, Ryu's rival. Also, I'd to add that Ryu is the only one in his clan that it's overpowered. I'm not saying his badass blind father or the Hayabusa ancients in the Nioh games are weak (NOT AT ALL), the entire clan still holds up againts the Black Spider Clan (Genshi's clan), and those bastards are proudy half-breed fiends (if Dante, Vergil and Nero were evil lol) so the Hayabusa Clan is very capable, but no one is as great as the Ultimate Ninja, Ryu Hayabusa.
Nobody is underestimating Ryu Hyubusa but at the end of the day he is not powerful enough to kill Dante you done your research on Ryu and that makes me happy proud of ya stranger but now you need to do your research on Dante bc Ryu is losing to Dante without Danteeven activating his DT Forms stopping time with a snap and moving so fast that rain in a rain storm cant touch you and slicing thousands of rain drops and moving so fast at the same time that all the storm's rain drops stop in mid air...and him having a healing factor that would irritate tf outa wolverine and deadpool...these are his base feats bud...and he clashed with a statue empowered by heaven in base form with only a sing fist and it was so big that he was action figure size compared to the statue and he overpowered it with so little effort that it is just crazy...these are base form feats friend and his styles alone make it so you rarely ever if at all use or have need if his ult forms.

Dante can also do the same with NG bosses and Ryu is a multiversal character but just because he doesn’t always travel to different universes doesn’t mean he isn’t he did before tho defeating bosses that can bend reality itself etc.
The true dragon sword destroying Dante's demon energy is a big stretch. I don't think demon energy was ever evil just dark in nature. I don't think his sword will work on Dante's energy.
This makes sense. The whole name Devil May Cry implies that demons are similar to humans in their sense of empathy. There's also the fact there are non-evil demons in the verse too. For eg. Griffon, Sparda's bodyguards and a couple in the anime.
What a fight, one thing you could have put is equalized stats, I know the fight has to be *how can Ryu defeat Dante*, and the last explanation how the DT(Devil Trigger) It's kinda evil, it's good, the problem is that we have no idea how much evil is, the only explanation for demons acting the way they do is instinct, yes it's portrayed in the anime, but the idea of involving a certain amount of malice/evil is a good one
Demons aren't necessarily evil, they're like the mindless monsters who fellow their instincts, there's so little Evil to call Evil, maybe some big bad bosses with actual logical mind that capable of thinking
Separating Dante from his demon half is a huge stretch. Demonic power isn’t essentially evil. Sparda was a full blooded demon and was benevolent. Further examples would be Cerberus, Agni, Rudra, Trish, Lucia, Griffith, and probably plenty more. It’d be like saying all humans are evil. Also I want to note, Dante’s gunfire should scale with his enemies, since it’s been stated he doesn’t use actual bullets, and the firearms are just a conduit for demonic energy. We know Nero scales to a tired Vergil (post fighting Dante) and if we take gameplay into it, this includes SDT. I'd say Nero is either above Throne Cunt Urizen or around Urizen (post fruit). I'd say he is under both Dante & Vergil 100% as they have experience and power over him.

Just for the sake of debate: lets say Dragon Blade strips Dante of his demonism. Is his Human half getting stronger from the Demon half Base stat-wise like the Demon half? Like... Nero is Quarter Demon, a third at most but he pulled off nearly all his feats as a mere Human.
No one can beat Dante he's just too powerful. He's literally the Superman of gaming. Kratos gets stomped, Bayonetta well just watch Death Battle, and Kirby is just a meme character. Dante is literally immortal and invincible. Completely unstoppable.

Virgil shows up, loans Ryu his sword so he can duel wield withe the dragon sword. Ryu ends it. I don't know. If has anything to do with how much stress & rage the user behind the 4th wall takes on, Ryu wins in a land slide. When I played Dante's games I don't remember wanting to throw my system out the window.
Some of these comments are really blowing my mind right now. I'm mainly gonna be talking about Dante, because he has more feats that puts him WAY above Ryu. If we're using DMC 5 Dante for instance, if you finished the main story you would know that Dante stabbed himself with the devil sword Sparda and fused with it. He then unlocks his Sin Devil Trigger form, which is his most powerful transformation as we know of right now. So then Dante defeats Urizen, who is above BOTH Mundus and Argosax, both rulers of the underworld in DMC1 and DMC2. Mundus was able to WARP REALITY. And on his own too. Dante defeated Mundus using only his base form and his devil trigger form. The same could be said for Argosax, as he became the ruler of the underworld after Dante defeated Mundus in DMC1. Now we cut back to DMC5, where Dante confronts twin brother Vergil. Vergil's katana, the Yamato, was said to CUT THROUGH DIMENSIONS MULTIPLE TIMES. And yet, Dante is on par with Vergil. They're both equal. So in conclusion, there's no damn way Ryu can beat Dante. Dante could one shot Ryu if he wanted to, as he's beaten Metaphysical monsters, and monsters that are beyond life and death. Dante obliterates Ryu, and its not close.

Teleport: The long distance teleport instantaneously used more in travel than battle. Having used the Twin Serpent statue's teleportation portal to teleport vast distance, Ryu gains the ability teleport long distances similarly, using it at the end of the Dark Dragon Blade Incident. In Dead or Alive he is often seen teleporting into and out of battles, even teleporting with Kasumi in and out of fights when partnered with her.
Wall Cling: Ryu's ability to cling to walls in Ninja Gaiden (NES), either using concealed teko-kagi or vander waals force given his ability to manipulate his internal bio electric currents. With this he can ascend walls by jumping back and forth between two walls similar to the flying bird flip.
Wall Climb: Upgraded wall cling allowing Ryu to climb up and down walls, he uses this in the NES Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3.
Kunai Climb: Ryu's wall climbing ability introduced in Ninja Gaiden 3, where he scales walls using two kunai blades in each hand.
Falcon Dive: A move from Ninja Gaiden 3 where Ryu dives down from high places usually tall buildings, it is used to ambush enemies from the air. Ryu is seen gliding through the air in many cutscenes prior.
Ryu using his heal ability to revive Ayane.
Heal: Ryu's ability to instantly heal dying allies by placing his hand over the top of them and blasting them with healing energy for a few seconds. It is only used in co-op mode for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
Hayabusa Spirit: This is the guardian animal spirit that helps resurrect Ryu after he dies from being sliced in half by the Dark Dragon Blade. Its ethereal spirit form is seen merged within Ryu, its corporeal physical form can be seen after Ryu disappears into the night. Ryu sometimes drops a few of peregrine falcon feathers in his wake. It serves as the force of Ryu's Indomitable Will, as he is able to overcome any challenge presented.
Transformation: Ryu has the ability to transform into the spirit of the Falcon.
Grip of Murder: A deadly Slavic curse used by the members of the Lords of Alchemy on victims they're trying to eliminate. Ryu received the curse from the Regent of the Mask. The Curse grants Ryu incredible attack power, able to kill an enemy in one strike when active. However, each killing will bring more pain to Ryu and eventually, he will die from it. The Curse was removed by the Regent after his final fight with Ryu. (Only used in Ninja Gaiden 3)
Cicada Surge: A short range teleport frequently compared to the duplicate technique, it is actually unique to the Hayabusa clan.
Ultimate Ninpo: A powerful Ninpo spell that can be used by all of the playable cast of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, in which the casters stand back to back, recite an incantation and summon a portal from which a massive energy comes crashing down, creating an enormous explosion that affects everything around the casters destroying regular enemies and heavily injuring boss enemies, while the casters themselves are unharmed.
Blood of the Ryujin (Dragon Gods): Those of the Dragon Lineage possess the blood of the 12 Dragon Gods flowing through their veins. This blood has been shown to have mystical and powerful qualities, as it resurrected the Archfiend Vazdah into his true form after being slain by Ryu in the events of Ninja Gaiden 2. And being able to create the powerful clone of Ryu, the Epigonos, in Ninja Gaiden 3. The Dragon Gods blood also grants descendants of the Dragon lineage such as Ryu a superiorly higher potential to gain superhuman physical abilities as well as a stronger spiritual affinity for mystical arts such as Ninpo. The Lords of Alchemy even went to tremendous length of sacrificing numerous soldiers and resources just to acquire a sample of Ryu's blood in order to further empower the Goddess.
I have to disagree, Dante is WAY more powerful than Ryu, there is no way Ryu would ever even be able to scratch Dante, as much as I love Ninja Gaiden they are simply on two different levels

That’s what I’ve been saying to people for the longest he is not below these type of characters it just he got Nerf in NG3 with no newfound type of threat, except for the goddess got his dragon sword taken away and had it to fight, miniature, CS:GO/resident evil BOW Ripoffs for remainder of the game so it didn’t really do him no justice, even though while 3 razors edge had one of the best combats in my opinion out of the trilogies in my defense it’s just missing some health potions, and more items of choice. I really hope one day it returns, and we get a proper ninja guidance story again just like how we got into one one when he’s fighting only undead monsters, and gods, like dragon ninja hybrid supposed to do that’s why he’s a “Super Ninja”🤷♂️
In fact, Ryu's blood is not fiend blood. His entire clan origin is explicity explained by "the dragon lineage". He is half dragon, as you mentioned. Ryu = Dragon, Hayabusa = Peregrine Falcon. Dragons in Ninja Gaiden are not demonic, I think divine entities is more accurate. Who actually has fiend lineage is Genshin, Ryu's rival.
Also, I'd to add that Ryu is the only one in his clan that it's overpowered. I'm not saying his badass blind father or the Hayabusa ancients in the Nioh games are weak (NOT AT ALL), the entire clan still holds up againts the Black Spider Clan (Genshi's clan), and those bastards are proudy half-breed fiends (if Dante, Vergil and Nero were evil lol) so the Hayabusa Clan is very capable, but no one is as great as the Ultimate Ninja, Ryu Hayabusa.

The true dragon sword destroying Dante's demon energy is a big stretch. I don't think demon energy was ever evil just dark in nature. I don't think his sword will work on Dante's energy.
This makes sense. The whole name Devil May Cry implies that demons are similar to humans in their sense of empathy. There's also the fact there are non-evil demons in the verse too. For eg. Griffon, Sparda's bodyguards and a couple in the anime.
What a fight, one thing you could have put is equalized stats, I know the fight has to be *how can Ryu defeat Dante*, and the last explanation how the DT(Devil Trigger) It's kinda evil, it's good, the problem is that we have no idea how much evil is, the only explanation for demons acting the way they do is instinct, yes it's portrayed in the anime, but the idea of involving a certain amount of malice/evil is a good one
Demons aren't necessarily evil, they're like the mindless monsters who fellow their instincts, there's so little Evil to call Evil, maybe some big bad bosses with actual logical mind that capable of thinking
Separating Dante from his demon half is a huge stretch. Demonic power isn’t essentially evil. Sparda was a full blooded demon and was benevolent. Further examples would be Cerberus, Agni, Rudra, Trish, Lucia, Griffith, and probably plenty more. It’d be like saying all humans are evil. Also I want to note, Dante’s gunfire should scale with his enemies, since it’s been stated he doesn’t use actual bullets, and the firearms are just a conduit for demonic energy. How strong is Nero from DMC 5, its kinda hard to scale.
I have a video on Nero that is in the backlog, and I will do my best to go over this.
We know Nero scales to a tired Vergil (post fighting Dante) and if we take gameplay into it, this includes SDT. I'd say Nero is either above Throne Cunt Urizen or around Urizen (post fruit). I'd say he is under both Dante & Vergil 100% as they have experience and power over him.

I'm mainly gonna be talking about Dante, because he has more feats that puts him WAY above Ryu.
If we're using DMC 5 Dante for instance, if you finished the main story you would know that Dante stabbed himself with the devil sword Sparda and fused with it. He then unlocks his Sin Devil Trigger form, which is his most powerful transformation as we know of right now. So then Dante defeats Urizen, who is above BOTH Mundus and Argosax, both rulers of the underworld in DMC1 and DMC2. Mundus was able to WARP REALITY. And on his own too. Dante defeated Mundus using only his base form and his devil trigger form. The same could be said for Argosax, as he became the ruler of the underworld after Dante defeated Mundus in DMC1. Now we cut back to DMC5, where Dante confronts twin brother Vergil. Vergil's katana, the Yamato, was said to CUT THROUGH DIMENSIONS MULTIPLE TIMES. And yet, Dante is on par with Vergil. They're both equal.
So in conclusion, there's no damn way Ryu can beat Dante. Dante could one shot Ryu if he wanted to, as he's beaten Metaphysical monsters, and monsters that are beyond life and death.
