  • Working on this piece here. This piece demonstrates the Kitaro signature sound very well.
Only Piano and Harp is done so far for the first part of the piece. The second part is mostly duplicated.
The Midi for the Harp will be sent to the Korg 01/W to be recorded into the original sound.
It has been awhile since I do tracking and many reattempts to get the get in time and feel for the piano. More work to be done here! 🤣

Awesome! Love your Kitaro covers. You really recreate the magical sound of Kitaro with your vintage synthesizers and your accurate interpretation of his music. God bless.

Thank you for the kind comments. I find joy in recreating some of his pieces. This piece is rather straight forward but still much more work to do and arrange. Thank you again!

@@ltpstan You are very welcome. I love Kitaro and I love your work every time you post a new Kitaro cover, I am usually one of the first people checking it out, because I am always excited to hear more from you! I really love the version you did of "God of the Sand" and "Cosmic Energy." I think you did a combo in that one! I mean in terms of the themes. It began with God (Lord) of the Sand and it ended with Cosmic Energy if I am not mistaken. I always listen to that one and I really love it. Thanks again for your great work and All the best wishes.

@@LionRex9250 Thank you. Oh yes, for that cover, when I first started out, I got confused with the 2 as both have similar drum beats or at least instruments (tabla and drums). I wanted to do a 'God of Sand' cover and started with the drums. Then, I started to add the synth background and bass (cosmic energy end part of the song) unknowingly in the beginning of tracking as both have the same chord progressions. After completing the most parts, I realised it was a merge between the 2 pieces and it sounded pretty alright to me. So I decided to leave it there too!

@@ltpstan Yes. They both do have the same chord progression and general feel! Especially the octave shifts Kitaro does frequently within his pieces - which is part of his signature sound - is heard in both "Lord of the Sand" and "Cosmic Energy." You did a great merger of both and I love that interpretation! I am sure Kitaro himself would be very proud, if he heard your interpretation of his works. All the best wishes and keep up the great work my friend. Happy new year as well. ❤
