It’s always better to starve your fish for a week than to have someone feed them lol. Tank still looks great. Good luck with it

Lol as you call the zebra loaches 'assholes' - it looked like one of them winked at you. I have no idea what the tank looked like before, but it's such a beautiful tank and layout...nothing like I've seen before. I really love it!

Oh no! Moms do like feeding things.
I just know people will overfeed my tank when I leave. They do that. I prepare portions ahead of time and hide the rest of the food. I use small caps to cover the portions and tell my feeders to just slide the food over the edge of the glass every other day. I used auto feeders too but they can malfunction and get stuck or dump too much food.

Hello from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours! sorry to discover your channel on a bummer video but it's a good looking tank and things will be back to awesome soon enough :)

I'll be sure to divide the food up into daily bags if I ever get someone else to feed my fish. Sorry to hear about your losses.

I use a pill dispenser with days of the week on it….prefill it. Vacation backup just has to dump the food for the day. Works great. I have one for each tank I leave on the lid. (Dry food obviously).

      Appreciate it!
If you look closer I specifically set up different habitat zones so that I can keep all sorts of different fish happy without any conflicts.
It's a fun challenge to aquascape around the needs of the fish

Thanks and yeah, I overestimated how much the plants were capable of and learned a hard lesson about feeding.

Dang, that sucks. As for the shelf tho maybe you could put a light underneath it, that would be cool

@@yashtapase3821 I don't do anything special for the crypts. There is a very thin layer of dirt under about 2-3 inches of sand and I use liquid ferts every other week.
