1:14:34 the answer is yes. you use a midi loop back program (loopMIDI) and connect Reaper (any DAW with MIDI TC support) and ETCnomad to that, and boom, timecode on 1 pc. i’ve done it many times
In case it's useful to anyone watching, Reaper can be sued to output MTC or LTC while playing back audio for pre-programming. It has a free unlimited evaluation period and this is one of the really useful features.
Here are the presentation and showfile in a single downloadable zip. etcconnect.com/uploadedFiles/Main_Site/Documents/Public/Study_Hall/Timecode-Webinar-Materials.zip
I'm just going to come here to vent. Why is it that every time I have to write the simplest possible version of timecode macros, no matter how many times I've built them before, I ALWAYS have to go to one of my old show files or come to this video? Why is something so simple not intuitive enough that I can remember how to do it after doing it 10 times already in the last 2 years? This is how it should work: Event 1 / Internal Enable Enter Event 1 / Internal Time Enter Why in the bloody hell does that print "Event 1 / Disable Time" into the command line? I don't care what the reason is. Whatever the reason is, it's a dumb reason. I'm not putting this on the forum because I think I've probably used up all my whining privileges over there for the month.
I'm literally writing software to do this for me and the absurd thing is while I'm writing the software I can't even figure out what the right macro syntax is.
Like honestly, how hard would it be to add a 12th softkey to the cue>execute context that automatically starts and resets a timecode clock? Why must every user write a complicated macro just to get timecode to do anything remotely useful?
Also, since this is my new personal venting corner? How is it that a super legit, professional, multi-billion dollar company such as ETC cannot create a search bar that actually works? In the macro editor, the new search bar they added, when I type in "eve", for event, the first 2 things that come up are "Display Non Manual Level" and "Display Park Level", not "Event". It seems like the search algorithm they slapped in there is the simplest, most archaic possible version of a search algorithm. It just loops through everything alphabetically searching for that string and doesn't ever sort positive results with regard to where the hit occured, whether in the first letters of the string or in the final letters of the string. That's kindergarten level coding. I barely know how to print hello world in python and even I know that.

Merry Christmas
Yeah, would have been nice to see what Luke was talking about here....

So if I have a series of event are already time stamped but I am adding extra cues. How do I go about stamping the new cues? Thanks
The video is static on a question break slide with a Geo in it. Only able to follow through the audio.
Is the showfile available yet?
We are working to put together the presentation and showfile. Stay tuned over the next couple of days for download links in the description.
