Man, I missed you Mr. Messer! I'm old man and it's so great to again hear your stories. I like you carve and use to work as a Forman on a cattle ranch in southern Alberta Canada but now after a heart attack and a few concussions my balance is way off so I started carving. On many cattle ranches in the early 60's hobos would get off at various rail heads and end up at local ranches as hired hands. So your hobo is outstanding!! Keep on cowboyin' on Sir and keep yourself strong and well, my friend!!
I bet you could tell us some great stories yourself Lee working on Ranches like you did .. We all have our stories ..Thank you so much for watching and take care of that heart sir ..God Bless
Thanx for sharing (part of) your situation prior to starting the carving I hope things have improved since u made the video. Thanx for the relaxing and educational video. Love the rain in the background 💪🏾💯
Your skills transfer to those of us who love the art form and strive to improve. Your stories are a living history of this country. Things that aren't really remembered in this day and age. I appreciate your knowledge, your willingness to share that knowledge, and the simple relaxation of sitting and learning from you. Thank you. I'm 71 this year, retired machinist, and finding woodcarving gives me an outlet to be creative that I miss not working with metal.
Thank you Jim for the kind words ..Iam so glad you found woodcarving at 71 ..Its a stress relieving hobby .. Thank you so much for watching and I wish you and your family a blessed and safe life ...Thank you so much
It is good to see you back! Take your time Gene & get yourself settled. That's the most important part! We will all be here waiting whenever it is convenient for you to resume. Thoughts and prayers for completion of the many tasks facing you at the moment.

When I was about 5 years old (62 yrs ago) we lived on a farm, very poor and although we never had much, My Mom would take whatever food was left from supper and walk over a 1/4 mile across the field to the railroad track and put the food there for a hobo that frequented there, she was a loving caring woman.....
