Cool video! My family is getting gigabit fiber to our home in just a couple weeks and it's cool to see how everything works. I'm an undergrad currently pursuing a degree in computer information technology, and networking has really been something that I have been looking into recently. Your videos only further inspire me to look deeper into that path. Thanks for sharing!
Do you still do any videos ? I see it’s been a couple years but thought maybe you have another channel. I’m a Splicer myself and would not mind doing some joint videos with you something like this is how you do something and this is how I do the same thing and we can learn from each other and others can learn from us both.
@@Ceejay_kay I hear you. I do small sections at a time to help reduce that problem. The red cutter is a pipe cutter you can get a local hardware store.
@@fiberoptic166 i have my thesis im writing.Quick question is there a free network planning software?Or something of the sort where i can do a sensible presentation?

cool, I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Wow computer information technology. Good luck in your studies.
I'm really scared to pull on the rip cord. I always think that there could be a manufacturing defect and the cord was wrapped around the buffer tubes.
great video! Very informational
thank you. I'm glad you liked it
I love the razorknife joke!

where did you get that cable cutter!?!
some of these pull strings are a pain in the ass
Which one
@@fiberoptic166 where did you get that cable cutter from? The 48 CT is my nemesis with the pull string. They tend to run into each other when pulling
@@Ceejay_kay I hear you. I do small sections at a time to help reduce that problem. The red cutter is a pipe cutter you can get a local hardware store.

Thank you
I m splicer can you give me opportunity for this job
So basically this 48 core will break down and connect to a smaller core cable ??like an expressway leads to a highway that leads to streets??
that is correct

Yeah, something like that Bubbi!
For the roaches, was it something found in the field? I am sure there are plenty of stories from crazy sites.
yes, I have seen roaches, snakes, frogs, rats, spiders, bees and ants inside pedestals
Bring on the yuk!

I really appreciate
Amazing
I can tell by the way you hold your snips that you either used to work for the phone company or you were trained by someone who was.
You are correct. I still work at a phone company
@@fiberoptic166 Ah ha I knew it! The only reason I knew was I used to work for AT&T and that is how they trained us to use snips.
@@Vader99ify how long did you work at AT&T for?
