- n December 2024, I went on an exciting three-day bike tour to Amritsar and Shimla with two friends. I was riding my own bike, while my friends shared another. We started early in the morning from Delhi (0 km). The weather was cold and windy, so we were fully geared up. During the ride, we stopped for tea breaks and had lunch near Ambala (200 km). After crossing Chandigarh (250 km) and Ludhiana (370 km), we finally reached Amritsar (470 km) after 9-10 hours of riding.
After checking into a hotel, we headed straight to the Golden Temple. We explored a nearby market, enjoyed some quick snacks, and later had dinner at Kesar Da Dhaba, which we found to be a bit overrated. We returned to our hotel for the night.
The next day, we visited Jallianwala Bagh (5 km from the hotel) in the morning and the Wagah Border (30 km) in the evening. After the ceremony at Wagah, we returned to the hotel late at night.
On the third day, we decided to visit Shimla (270 km from Amritsar) before returning to Delhi (360 km from Shimla). We reached Shimla in the evening, took a walking tour, and explored Mall Road. We also enjoyed some delicious cakes there. Around 8 PM, we started our overnight journey back to Delhi, stopping for dinner near Haryana (300 km from Shimla). Finally, we reached Delhi at around 2 AM, completing a memorable three-day ride.
