The game marks the second half of the Trails series, set in Calvard. The story is set in S.1208, a year after Hajimari no Kiseki. Thanks to postwar reparations, the multinational state of Calvard experiences unprecedented economic growth while continuously dealing with public unrest caused by immigration and the new president's radical reforms. In a corner of Edith, a young man working as a Spriggan receives a peculiar job that will result into something larger, affecting the entirety of the Republic.

Rean's done. He's never appearing in any Trails game again since Shizuna is so much better than he is. If you want Rean around, just replay CSI~IV + Hajimari, because you are not seeing him in action ever again.

@@afr8734 I wasn't talking about him being a main character either. I meant entirely; Rean is never going to appear on-screen in any Trails game ever again. No on-screen presence, no boss battle, nothing. Shizuna was created to replace him in every way, shape and form and as long as she is present, Rean has no reason to exist.

@@aurolsedrech8691 It's pure delusion to think the series is going to suddenly drop the most popular character just because someone else stronger than him is here now, especially when Rean's personal arc isn't even over yet because he still hasn't found Yun Ka-fai and as well as pretty much everyone wanting to see a rematch between him and Shizuna. He's likely going to appear at some point after the Calvard arc.

Can you go through the entire game with the action gameplay?
No, most of the game is still turn-based.
Correct BOSS fights are still turned based however Shizuna herself is only playable for the battles leading INTO The FINAL dungeon ITSELF and never really playable ANY time else.
Also most of her Attacks are kind of S craft based one where the game itself will NOT allow you to skip the animation of ANY of her Normal crafts at all.
