1. Any small engines setting for long time will have condensation in the gas. A 5 second spray of starting fluid into the gas tank will usually fire right up. It always works for me. 2. Never shut off an engine that will be setting for awhile with the ignition switch. Always shut off the fuel valve and let the engine stop from fuel starvation. That will empty the carburetor keeping it clean.
Taylor and Brent never disappoints with a video. Their work ethic is absolutely incredible, and their personalities are golden. That's why I'll still be a fan in 2025.
Happy New Year from New Hampshire 🐄🐮 Drain that gas tank, new filter, new spark plugs. If you can remove the carb float bowls, blow out eith carb&choke cleaner .Try to use Non Ethenol gas if you can find it , and add StaBil year round. 👍🎄🐮
You did a great job showing people who don’t have a snowmobile, how every year goes trying to get them running 😂 and after you do get it running, the snow all melts. 😊. They are fun to ride on so I hope you get yours running soon
It's really amazing how many things need to happen just to keep things going in such a cold environment. It's a tough business to be in and everything is done on a shoestring budget. I would give anything to get those two machines to mechanic to get a tune up. I really want to see you too running those machines again sometime.
Your snowmobile may have a crankcase operated vacuum fuel pump . The diaphragm may have dried out and rotted a hole in it . Lawn mower shops may have this fuel pump . Wrap a rag around an air blow gun and place a short burst of air into the gasoline tank while pull starting . Always have a fire extinguisher within arm’s reach .
I love Cooper's facial expression, reminds me of one of our dogs. I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas Taylor. Sled seems to be needing fuel hope the carb is not plugged on you. Sometimes I just replace the carb especially if it has plugged before, I do not always use ethanol free fuel, for a while it seemed everything had at least 10%. Stay safe and healthy Tay.
Test for snowmobile: Fill tank FULL and see if it miraculously fixes itself. If that is the case, the pick up hose in the tank has failed and needs to be replaced. that is normally about half way up the front of the tank. Take a light and look into the tank and see if you see the port. Again - full full tank will run if it is gone. Edit: BTW I am from Wisconsin and have had a couple dozen sleds....
What a wonderful end to the video with your big boy cooper sitting on your lap. I ordered my tayfarms coffee cup last week they say it will arrive between the 7th and 18th. I expect it to make my coffee taste 10 times better 😁
Howdy Tay! Hope y'all had a nice Christmas. You have been fun to watch all year and look forward to next year with you guys. Have a great week and a Happy New Year!
Hi Taylor. Coffee 19:42 and donuts ready for another adventure. You probably have Bad gas in your tank gumming Up your carburetor on your snowmobile. As far as lights try going LED. Way brighter and cheaper to run .
Check that little clear plastic fuel filter just in front of the dash - it’s likely empty. You need a lot more fuel in the tank to get the pump to draw properly.
Taylor replace the fuel filter and with the fuel filter off see if the fuel pump is working by pulling the engine over. If the pump is working then it’s probably the carburetor or plug fuel line
Hi Taylor. As we come to the end of the year I want to thank you for all those awesome videos we watched during that time. Great content, informative, great camera angles and details, and entertaining. Looking forward to your 2025 videos . Wishing you and Brent and your families a Happy and successful New Year. 🐄🚜☕️🍩
I would say you have spark it starts sounds like you need to empty the old gas and put in new gas above where it is now. As always you never quit you have a beauty day 😊🤗
Well shoot we was wanting to see you ride again 🤔. Miriam wants to know if you got those earrings for Christmas and she wants to know if ya'll ever go lobster fishing 😁😁😁. Nice to see the upgrades on the electrical system. We hope ya'll had a great Christmas! Everyone in Northeast Arkansas says hey Taylor especially Miriam 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🚜🐄
Great video as always... If you could get Rockwool insulation board... Uypu could build a removable wall around the water tank... The board is gire resistant and could save the heartache of losing it all... Stay safe, Tim in Texas former dairy farmer from central Mass.
Good morning Taylor Great video of you learning more about taking care of the barn you will be well prepared for your own barn and farm Keeping it real Enjoy your day !😊🤗
just a thought, you either have water in the fuel line that is frozen solid and the fuel can't get through. I would bring it in where it's warm put some heat to it and see if that gets the fuel flowing if that doesn't work check the fuel filter in line and put a new one on there because condensation in that paper could be frozen not allowing the gas to go through last and final would be to have to pull the carburetors or open the drain on the carburetors and see if you got fuel flowing out of them first I would bring it in somewhere where it's warm let it warm up and if it's condensation or water in the lines, you'll get gas to go through it and it should run Hope that helps if you'd like to I M me be glad to talk you through it
Awesome Video as usual Taylor!!! Want to wish you and Brent a Happy New Year and hope you both continue to make more awesome videos in the year to Come!!🎉🍾🥂🚜🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄
Great video Taylor. Love the name Cooper for a pup! Hope you and Brent and your family have a great New Year’s and I’m looking forward to watching you all of 2025. Once again, thank you for inspiring me to open up my own bonfire shop.
Always love what your doing tay.positive energy and a love for what you do which is not an easy field to be working in .keep up the good work tay 👍❤️🦘🇭🇲.
I love seeing all the messages left on your videos, Taylor! We do appreciate all the extra effort you put into your already busy farm days! I look forward to seeing more of you and Brent in 2025!🎉🐄🤠🚜🌾🐮🐂👩🌾🐈 Thanks, Tay!
I see you're getting lots of advice for the snowmobile, I'll leave that alone. Glad to see Brent getting the electrical work done. You never know how something like the heater plug can cause something worse that a melted plug/outlet. Getting that new heater might even save on the electric bill, not you'd notice it on that much electrical use. Cooper looks like a good boy. Those goldens make great lap dogs eh? At least in their minds they do!! He almost tipped you over, that's why you have them!! Thanks for the video!!
A combustion engine needs 3 things to run. Air, fuel and spark. You proved you have air and spark already so your issue is fuel or more precisely fuel delivery. Either the tank is too low on the fuel level or there is a clogged jet in the carb or you have float, needle or needle seat issues.
Hi Taylor thanks for another great video. Shame about your snowmobile but at least your willing to have a go at fixing it. Your certainly having a run on bull calves but what a awesome young man. Hope you have a awesome New year take care and be safe 👍 😊.
Hi Tay, Mark from UK again. Never run a tank past 1/4 full. It'll just suck up last years muck and spoil your fun. If it's a two stroke,,,, then in the winter vast amounts of TLC are usually required . Even so if it's a 4 stroke a little of that dubious smelling stuff in an aerosol to get diesels going might help. Nonetheless it's all part of winter fun🤣🤣🤣🤣 Take care you guys. Have fun😊👍👍👍 P.S. electric starters are the way. Saves a lot of sweating and swearing❄☃️❄☃️ Wishing you All a VERY happy and prosperous New Year Health , wealth and happiness. Don't need more🤗 My best regards and wishes Mark UK
I’m assuming that gas in Maine has ethanol in it like Michigan does, so you should always drain all of the gas out at the end of the season because the gas goes bad and the ethanol eats the rubber parts.
Hi Taylor! Great video - so sorry you didn't get out sledding on such a beautiful day. The machine is almost ready to run well - I would first try putting more gas into the tank - that should help get fuel to the carbs. Also, if you have a fuel pump on that machine - it may be dry or bummed out??? Defiantly a fuel problem I think! Have a nice week! 😀
Too bad I'm not a nearby neighbor. Some of those little cantankerous items that are a show stopper for you and Brent I could help out with. Would be fun. Barn wiring, sled troubles. That sled - don't sell yourself short. You do such a good job with so many things you tackle and you're soooo close to having your sled running, just a little looking over your shoulder while you take it apart is all you need to be able to tackle the carb yourself. Besides, I think this is going to be a good year for snow in Maine. I like your sweatshirts too. I agree, they look like nice ones. BTW - I did notice the little glint of light coming from your earrings. Made you look cute! Happy New Year! Stay warm.
Hey Taylor, I know you said it didn't have much gas in it. But I would drain it all out and start with fresh gas. Then in spring run some sta bill in it for 5 minutes. Good luck with the snow, we have green grass here in Iowa. Stay safe!!! Ia.
3 simple things to check on any small engine if it won't start: ● Fuel ● Spark ● Air Check the fuel is getting to the Carby. Sometimes the little orofaces get gummed up. Check for Spark Clean the Air filter. Just saying. Lol🤠
I think you have a case of bad gas. If you don’t put some gas stabilizer in the tank at the end of each season and make sure you run it long enough to get that stabilizer to work its way into the carburetor to keep it form gumming up.
Hay Taylor the problem with the snowmobile is the fuel pump it’s the metal part that is fastened to the front of the air box they go bad . I used to own a super sport been riding sleds for 20 years
Hi Taylor, one thing I do when the snowmobile gas lines are dry is pressurize the tank and get gas flowing through the lines, if it ever snows around here I’m sure I will be going through the same thing trying to get the sleds running, if you do pressurize the tank disconnect the fule line on the other side of the filter
Taylor: You never cease to amaze me. You can take a very mundane subject and make it very interesting. Check the fuel filter. It could be plugged. I don't know enought about snowmobiles to say it actually is. Just venturing a guess. Hope your electric works out. Happy New Year to you, your family, Brent and his family. God Bless
Good morning sunshine, nothing like the good old snowmobiles, especially Polaris that’s all I’ve ever ridden. They’re definitely fun once they get running lol I’ve had the cowl cord break off at a windstorm on a brand, new sled and smashed the windshield and dash it wasn’t any fun that one rusty cord probably last forever lol One little trick it’s kind of a pain in the butt is to pull the breather box off once you get the fire spray a little carb cleaner or ether just a little bit in each carb until it starts picking up the gas from the gas tank you don’t have to use a lot just a little squirt just to keep it running till it starts picking up gas. We don’t get as much snow here as we used to so most of us gave up on snowmobiling we keep them around just in case, but we do more riding ATVs around the all our farms right here. That little bull is getting big quick. There is always something to fix or update on these older dairy barns. Been there done that many times lol but I’m glad you got that electrical fixed that could be very dangerous. Cooper is adorable. That’s so funny. I hope you stay warm and safe up there.🤗
Hi Taylor there is a screen on the hose in the tank ,maybe has film on it from old gas ,possible you could blow on it into the tank but maybe not let it go the other way ,just a thought, have one like yours only its a indy 488 cc, have a great day
Your fuel pickup is dependent upon a hose attached to a brass fitting located midway of the tank. The internal hose rot's and falls into the tank, you maybe able to see it with a flashlight looking into the tank. Remove the air box follow the fuel line to the brass nipple, it will unscrew, if there is no hose attached to the brass nipple there is your problem. If you fill the tank to over half full it should allow the fuel to be pumped to the carbs and it should run until fuel level drops below the brass nipple. Best wishes!
Put the gas down the top of the carbrutor not the spake plug holes get litter can and keep adding to the carbrutor to it run full on its own the carbrutor is dry and not sucking the gas out of the fuel tank is the fuel tap on the tank on to just a thought
Hey Taylor, Your sled 100% has a fuel delivery issue... more than likely a combination of old gas and your carb float needle valve gummed up. Needs to be pulled, freed up and run some fresh gas through it. also run it near dry at the end of season, mix in some sea foam stabilizer in it and run it again till it starts to smoke. Should be problem free for next season
Hi taylor! Hey ,hope your christmas was grand! Hey on that room with that switch! Try putting up some of that indolation board up on the walls! To keep that room alittle warmer! Also the warm wires like for water lines might just work! Also on your skid! Try spraying carb cleaner down your carb! That and watch wes work or deisel creek! They both have videos on how to rebiuld your carb! Good luck on your skid
as i said im all about hats hope you find some good ones id love one i found sea foam in gas tank with fresh gas and have a spray bottle to keep them running is only way to treat a motor thats been sitting goes for law mowers too
These videos are great! Hope this farm staying operational for a long time!!
Thank you! We sure hope so too!
1. Any small engines setting for long time will have condensation in the gas. A 5 second spray of starting fluid into the gas tank will usually fire right up. It always works for me.

good advice for snowmobiles. we do it on other stuff hatt sit's
Also drain the carbs if you can. Add fresh gas
yep good rule of thumb with any ethanol gas.
Taylor and Brent never disappoints with a video. Their work ethic is absolutely incredible, and their personalities are golden. That's why I'll still be a fan in 2025.
It is not getting gasoline. I suspect the gas in the tank is old but there really isn't enough anyway. Please pour more gas into the tank
Sta bil fuel stabilizer and non ethanol gas if you can find some.
Happy New Year from New Hampshire 🐄🐮
Drain that gas tank, new filter, new spark plugs. If you can remove the carb float bowls, blow out eith carb&choke cleaner .Try to use Non Ethenol gas if you can find it , and add StaBil year round. 👍🎄🐮
One of the best channels, Wholesome honest people of the earth.😊
I am a first time viewer and I appreciate your old school farm! Thank you for the hard work. I live in Pennsylvania.
Great video. On to the sled. Carbs are dirty. Main jets are most likely to be plugged and needles are stuck . Have carbs cleaned. Happy New Year
You did a great job showing people who don’t have a snowmobile, how every year goes trying to get them running 😂 and after you do get it running, the snow all melts. 😊. They are fun to ride on so I hope you get yours running soon
But on the positive side you don't need a gym membership LOL

LOL We had snowmobiles back in the mid 90 s. Worked on them more than we drove them.
Awe, the last clip of Cooper on your lap was so cool. He loves ya. Big dogs are still lap dogs. I have a 150 pound Rottie lap dog. Lol.

Another heartwarming video from cold Maine. ☺
woo hoo Taylor, nice you have lots of arm chair mechanics to assist
There will be more snow, so get you gear right and stay safe 🤠🐮
Hi Cooper! He’s a big lad.
Hi Taylor thanks for another great video. Shame about your snowmobile but at least your willing to have a go at fixing it. Your certainly having a run on bull calves but what a awesome young man. Hope you have a awesome New year take care and be safe 👍 😊.

I was just thinking about you and boom there ya are LOL Have a great one Taylor and Brent. Happy New Year!!!!
Thanks Taylor, have a good one!!!!
You have to move the choke lever up one more notch. Give it a sniff of starting fluid
Coopers a big beautiful dog. Happy new year to you and Brent! 💕

That’s so sweet, I hope you do too!
Winter in Massachusetts. Makes me glad I live in the south. Great content!
thank you and Brent for another great video
Happy new year Taylor and Brent from all your friends in Ireland pat Brazil 🎉❤
Drain the old gas out then take the gas line loose see if gas is flowing good.❤ make sure the gas filter isn’t clogged ❤
Hi Taylor you should take the carburetors off and clean them .
That's all the problem is.
Taylor add a little gas but change the fuel filter. Your on the right track.
Maybe cameras for the Barn. You can the ones that go into light bulb.
Hi Taylor! Great video - so sorry you didn't get out sledding on such a beautiful day. If that sled was a Toyota it would start every time!😂
Another great video Tay
Happy, healthy, prosperous, blessed and wonderful New Year Tay, Brent and families.
Great looking dog.

3 simple things to check on any small engine if it won't start:
● Fuel
● Spark
● Air
Check the fuel is getting to the Carby. Sometimes the little orofaces get gummed up.
Check for Spark
Clean the Air filter.
Just saying. Lol🤠

Exactly!
😁Hey Tay 🥰 Have a safe happy blessed NEW YEAR. Thanks for shareing your day . Great Video 💗
Hay Taylor the problem with the snowmobile is the fuel pump it’s the metal part that is fastened to the front of the air box they go bad . I used to own a super sport been riding sleds for 20 years
Happy new year to you guys out there
I’ve got a cat like yours, A Tuxedo cat, Dearly love him,
Hi Taylor, one thing I do when the snowmobile gas lines are dry is pressurize the tank and get gas flowing through the lines, if it ever snows around here I’m sure I will be going through the same thing trying to get the sleds running, if you do pressurize the tank disconnect the fule line on the other side of the filter
That’s a great tip, thanks for sharing!
Hi from🛣️❤️Dexter🏠Missouri❤️🛣️
Good sign that it’s not getting any fuel if it will start when putting fuel into the spark plugs
AH, the joys of being a snowmobiler. We've all been through it. Spent more time trying to get them to run than you do riding. LOL
I hear you, it definitely seems like that sometimes! 😄
Whew! Merch is up!
Thank you for the awesome work and videos!
Happy New Year to you two!
Great video Tyler all the best to you and Brent and your family's in2025
Pulling that cord to start the sled is not simple battery & starter were a great invention 🎉
That is a farm for you. I know we did the same for gas and diesel I guess it’s a requirement also we would snowmobile too.
@ watching these videos reminds me of my childhood
Taylor: You never cease to amaze me. You can take a very mundane subject and make it very interesting. Check the fuel filter. It could be plugged. I don't know enought about snowmobiles to say it actually is. Just venturing a guess. Hope your electric works out. Happy New Year to you, your family, Brent and his family. God Bless
2 things, gummy carbs need to be taken apart and cleaned, and number 2, have mice gotten into the exhaust muffler or air box and made a nest??????
Good morning sunshine, nothing like the good old snowmobiles, especially Polaris that’s all I’ve ever ridden. I'd definitely buy a hat from you!🤗
That is so sweet, thank you!
Fresh gas & little red bottle HEAT DRYGAS. Usually works
Crunchy fluffy snow, means COLD
Hope you get the sled going.
What I always do is start my sled at least once a month during the off-season then it should start right up when you want it😊
hello from Lithuania :)
