I think the only thing I would add is that there has been more literature suggesting that early rhythm control strategy in the non-acute scenario may be better than simply just rate controlling them. Having worked in the hospital for years now and having patients come back to the hospital again and again with failed attempts to rate control - anecdotally, I do find that for certain patients it is actually more beneficial just to to try to keep them in sinus for longer.
