Jeepers also love Sedona, not because the trails present any challenges but obviously for the scenic beauty. The Jeep trails there take you right through it. Keep living the good life Cat. Cheers.
Thank you for sharing. I visited the Sedona area a dozen times in the 1990s. I haven't been there since 2000 since I moved to Hawaii.I have watched maybe 100 videos on youtube of people visiting there. Yours is the best at capturing the beauty but more importantly the feeling of the trails and the area.
Beautiful views in Sedona! We were there two years ago for my birthday. The huge red rock was so very amazing to see in person! We hiked near Bell Rock and drove up to Scenic Overlook. I love the work you do with your camera! It looks like you had a most wonderful time. You are truly living the dream! Congrats on making it happen!🌷☀️
Sedona is gorgeous! My favorite motorcycle ride was from Litchfield Park to Prescott then Highway 89a to Flagstaff and I often camped well off the highway or a motel in Sedona. On those hot days it was worth the stop at very crowded Slide Rock in Oak Creek Canyon. This brought back some wonderful memories. Thank you, Catherine1
Wow... I was just thinking about this from watching another video of yours! Total synchronicity. 😉 Love that hike... But... So does everyone else! And yes, Phoenix doesn't even compare... So glad you found the other side of life! 🌞👍
Welcome back to AZ and West Fork. It's my backyard & stomping grounds. Sorry it was so busy, unfortunately is very popular, any time of the year. Can't find much quite or solitude there anymore. But you still found the great shots to share with us. Good for you getting there early. Hope you were able to enjoy some cider from Indian Gardens. Travel safe, have fun .
Wow! Just came across your posts and Thank You! Your photography is wonderful! You really have the gift of bringing us with you on your adventures. I feel like I'm right there!
Oh my! The fall color in the foliage is so beautiful. The video at the creek. Wow heaven! Sacred waters flow to Sedona. There you were then. Where are you now?
Thanks for sharing this with us. Like I said, you bring back "the feelings" of the place that I remember as a favorite place, one of many. ( Before...all the people found it).
Well Catherine you do it so well Sedona is so beautiful and I want to say thank you for bringing it to me and everybody else so cool and you film it so well thank you sweetie I hope you're well I hope your rig is a well and you're doing good well thank you for such an awesome time hope to see you next video bye sweetie
Albany things you've been showing is inspired me I'm taking a trip for 3 months that's as long as I'm allowed in country I've Been Told so me and my grandson is going to Australia I'm checking out the back roads thank you for the strength
This was like a postcard only better. The fall in Sedona in very beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I believe you’ve improved your editing. I hope everything is going well for you and your loved ones keep living your best life Cat.
This is So Beautiful! The Red Rocks are very Awesome especially against the Fall Colors! I have a girlfriend who recently moved to Sedona... Hopefully I will visit her and All This Beauty soon! Thanks Catherine 💕
Wow!! You captured some beautiful background while you were hiking.....vivid fall colors.Yes those red walls are definitely spectacular and love the variety of trees too. Wonder how many years it took to form such intricate rock structures and how the native americans lived and survived there? Thanks Cat 🐱!!!!
@@CatherineGregoryAdventures ....that scene in Dances with Wolves when Costner was riding into the Sioux village with the wounded girl on his horse was a pretty good interpretation of what it must have looked like back then I think...loved that scene
Your videos and travel destinations are the best! Can't wait to head to the warm south and will be visiting some of these locations myself. Working on my final preparations and will be making the long trip from Oregon in a couple of weeks.
Thursday my Mom and I are flying out there. Can't wait to get to the trail. Thsnks for sharing. Going to be shopping for a truck camper when I get back.
Hi Catherine, there are supposedly fairies in Fay Canyon! :) It is a nice and easy, fairly short hike. You were blessed with a very nice sunny day. I love the Sedona red dirt. It is super soft, like beach sand. West Fork is lovely to hike through, especially with the trees turning colors. It stays cooler back there due to the tall Red Rocks and nearby cool stream, so is also a good trail during the summer.
Hello, you have managed -- yet again -- to include some absolutely gorgeous scenes of Fay Canyon, AZ. I love also how you open your video with the relaxation music of nature. I am getting a strong feeling that your videos are getting better with time. Awesome! Randy
I have taken the Oak Creek Trail several times. It’s especially wonderful once you get into the canyon and walk in water. Then there are fewer people, too. I believe there is a through hike which involves some swimming with the pack held overhead.
ANOTHER must-see locale! Damn girl, you are battin' 1000. Seems a great time of year to go there as well. Was not expecting so many large trees. Scottsdale was my only AZ experience...definitely need to see more of Arizona!
Two of our favorite hikes when we are in the are. Admire what you are doing we hopefully are about a year from doing it ourselves..... Enjoy the adventure 👍
what a beautiful place...I love the turquoise sky Florida has that same sky when the humidity drops!...rock formations are amazing!! this place is like a painting the sunlight is the paintbrush that opens up beauty when it reflects upon the rock formations!...stunning on so many levels!!
Looks fun! Beautiful scenery. I'm still very new to the desert lands so it's nice to see the differences between areas. I'm just N of there atm near flagstaff. I hear the red rock stains clothes and vehicles hopefully you lucked out w that!
Welcome to Az! I believe The West Fork Trail was named as one of the top hikes in the US. I can’t remember the publication but that is when it became sooooo busy! Safe travels.
not what i was expecting at all ,on the east coast and never been out west just on tv and daydreaming . i expected huge stretches of empty barren land ,made for the night-time sky and a billion stars floating by . this really reminded me of what i daydream the grand canyon would be . i'm surprised at the forest and the diversity of the plant life . wow , i have a whole new daydream ,that is just as much fun in the daytime as it is at night .
Hello! Very nice video. May I ask please, what road is the BLM that you stayed on here in Sedona? I noticed your comment on a video that you got the coordinates from. But they took the review video down that had the info. I asked them about a week ago, but no response. Aching to visit Sedona in that backdrop area. Thanks for your time!
Hi Catherine, WoW, stealing my heart with opening scenes. Have you seen any of your latest videos on a 4k television yet; really great. Just a story: I had a (childhood friend), like around high school, and on hearing he and Doreen would be camping at (Thomas Edison Lake) on the Western side of the Sierra, I decided to hike over Mono Pass, out of Rock Creek, and visit. While there Bobby taught me a very, what I feel, important lesson about hiking. He said he didn't like to hike mile after mile but instead maybe 3 at the most, then set up camp, and enjoy the environment; sort of like "let the outdoors absorb into you and not you absorb into it". I still remember those days in my heart; just a thought.
Just gorgeous. I never realized there was so much greenery there; most photos I've seen show the desert areas with red rock, but not the big trees. Watching you walk through the forest reminded me of hiking in the Northeast. You captured the different light in many shots...dappled light coming through trees, early sunlight against red canyon walls, the autumn shades of foliage everywhere. Your work is stunning. So glad there was no music set to this one, it felt like a visual meditation. THANK YOU!
Thank you for another wonderful video. You have shown us some things there we didn't know existed. Our oldest son and family have moved to Gilbert,AZ so who knows? We may make a side trip to Sedona. As always enjoy and be safe!
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful video, Catherine. Like that you just hear the sounds of nature (i.e., no music). I've done both of those trails. Also loved Boynton Canyon. Where was home when you were homesick while in Phoenix?
I've never had a camera shut down due to heat. Weird. Home sick? Yep we change over time. Now you are an "Earth Dweller"... The world is your home. Without bound.
you should try the mogollon rim and the white mountains the hike up mount escudilla used to be beautiful i haven't been up since the fire but i was over around big lake last year in october and it was still beautiful.
I agree with this if you are monitoring these comments. Specifically Carr Campground! It is a free, first come first serve area. Has a volunteer host. Worth it for the views! There is about 10 sites directly, and I mean directly on the Rim edge. Have to get there early in the week. And they close the whole area up for winter.
Funny, i lived in Albuquerque for 4 months, in 1974, but i got terribly homesick for trees and creeks, etc. We went back to MA. Discovered i wasn't homesick, so much as just hated the desert. Back to CA would have been fine. Sandia Crest made me realize WHAT i missed. HATED the heat, too.
Arizona is a Awesome place to Live, I hike the deserts everyday.
Love love Sedona. The colors are magnificent!
Jeepers also love Sedona, not because the trails present any challenges but obviously for the scenic beauty. The Jeep trails there take you right through it. Keep living the good life Cat. Cheers.
