I feel like the problem wasn’t the shoes, it was the tight skirts... some models were having a big trouble while walking because they couldn’t really move their legs
What a difference the music can make sometimes....it went from this off-kilter, deconstructed, 50's street creature to bordering on tacky, deconstructed, 80's Hollywood ingenue. I'm not really mad at either, because this was a very competent collection. That might sound like a backhanded compliment, but considering some of the train wrecks this week, I'm pleased with Max Mara. They did what they set out to do every season, and that's sell outerwear and bags...but through it, they layered some beautiful skirts and pants. Max Mara seems to try and take a page out of Fendi's book with its feature on leather, accessories, branding, conservative textiles...but Max Mara doesn't ever seem to reach Karl in terms of luxury or modernity. Its all too referential for my taste. But, this collection is going to sell, and 10 - 15 + years down the road, with any luck, women on the streets will still be wearing some of these coats, because they were truly timeless.
Quite agree with your assessment of this collection. Th music was perfect. For the most part, the models knew how to walk in step to the music and the coats, the coats, were best I have seen all season.
not a fan of Gigi's second walk, but the one with her wearing the leopard print, the way she walks with her hips side to side really matches with the music, AND SO IS JOAN'S!!
