Hello ESAB ~ I understand that this particular machine has experienced issues with poor connections in the torch/cable causing error codes to be thrown. Is the "X" upgrade to this model, as in Cutmaster 60ix, proven to be the solution to this issue?
been using a 120AMP China brand... problem is their consumables worns out easily...
Esab needs to make some affordable 150 Amp MMA inverters for the EU market. Most Esab products are too expensive for what you get, compared to other brands incl china brands.
I have the 58. I purchased on sale with rebate almost 2 years ago. Was very reasonable price. Not much in the way of bells and whistles but it’s been flawless so far. . One of the only flaws of plasma cutting it the bevel on the cut. More of an issue on 1/4” plate and up
I was so excited about my purchase of the 60i, but it is a total lemon 🍋!!! 3 k dollar paperweight, not to mention another over engineered air quality gadgets. I also bought the 205 AC/DC welder. Never got a single rebate. I researched everything available for 60i for the first year. My unit is brand new looking 60sl upgrade from factory. I couldn’t recommend w a clear conscience. I went all in, but I feel totally burned in the seat of my pants! Fair warning.
Did the repair it under warranty? Sorry to hear I’d be pissed. See my comment above about my 58. I did receive the rebate but it took close to three months. It was a Visa card.
Did your Cutmaster 60i have the "X" revision mentioned in this video? I'm looking at purchasing a 60i, so I'm very interested in how your situation was resolved. Thank you.
